  • Hello!
Here’s a look at my current mini altar. I really hope you enjoy looking at it and that it gives you some ideas about what to include in your own. There’s absolutely no requirement to own any witchcraft tools but I find them very helpful in that they help my focus - plus they are just really nice to have!
Please do leave me any questions or comments below and thank you so much for watching. Until next time, stay safe and blessed be x

Omg, so cute. Love the tin your travel alter is in. You fit an incredible amount of stuff in that alter. It seemed like one of those tiny cars in a circus that pulls up and 50 clowns get out, lol. So many cool ideas like the birthday candles and three tiny bottles for herbs or oils. Thanks for sharing this sacred space with us. Blessed be.

That’s such a good idea to use birthday candles for spell work! Such a good way to get a bunch of different colors.

I love your mini altar. It is very handy. I’m very comfortable to work without any tools, and can connect with the powers by using only hand gestures, and rune galder (song/chanting) and tarot visualisations. Scott Cunningham has a ritual of hand gestures and I learned that many years ago.

I'm currently writing a dystopia fiction story (absolutely not based at all on a true story at all) about two European pagans living under the Soviet puppet regime in 1980s Czechoslovakia. I don't know where this idea even came from. I'm a Western Buddhist, so I'm not even a part of this community. Anyway, since state atheism, Christianity, and the Jewish faith were the only legal religions in Czechoslovakia, I've been trying to think about what sort of tools my fictional priestess and her disciple (I'm not sure if that's the right term) might be hiding from the KGB and how they could do it. This is actually a really big help. Thanks for sharing. Sorry if anything I said upset you. I'm pretty clueless about all of this.

I'm getting ready for a move, and I didn't want to pack all of my witchy goodies away.
Mine has my Forest of Enchantment tarot deck, an altar cloth, fine bath salts, a few bay leaves, some lavender buds, two tealight candles, crystal chips of aventurine, rose quartz, clear quartz, and amethyst, and two mini books. I also have some witchy book PDFs stored on my phone and I will be picking up a book of safety matches. My travel altar is long and thin, which is ideal for a backpack.

Hello! How lovely to hear from you, thank you so much for your kind words! I’m so glad you found it useful and I’m so happy that you’re going to put your own altar together. I’ve found having mine in my bag a great comfort and being able to create sacred space when I’m out and about is lovely! The Fool is from the Rider-Waite Radiant tarot deck, which I love because of the bright colours. Oh and I think I forgot to mention that I’ve also used a Sigil on the base of the tin. It means ‘I attract abundance.’
Thanks again and have fun putting yours together!
