A very warm welcome to my channel!
My hallway altar is in desperate need of a good clean and reset. Join me as I strip it bare and give everything a really good clean, both physically and spiritually- and add a few decorations to mark the coming of Lammas!
This is my personal altar - it might look very different to yours, and you might do things in a very different way - and that’s absolutely fine. As always, I am here to inspire, not to instruct- and you are welcome to take any of my ideas and use them in your own way!

It's been the same here in the US. I don't want summer to be over, but I have felt the shift in the weather, since the end of July. I have been feeling the autumn wind coming through. I live in New England, in the South East. Just wanted to share that. I'm going to be reorganizing all my altars today, just the video I needed to watch this morning, thank you. I love the authenticity of this video. Others have shown their used (I refuse to say messy cause of connotation and The Craft is naturally a messy practise) altars, but I can only think of one person that shared their cleaning process. It's good to normalise these things. Also love how you both physically and spiritually clean which I don't see a lot of people do either.

Inspired by your hallway altar, I have for the first time gathered all my magickal items and put them together in one place. As I moved house 2 months ago I know I still have some items packed in boxes but will find them soon. I sourced a dresser top that can be attached to the wall above a chest of drawers in my bedroom and am now building a permanent dedicated altar. I was actually quite emotional when I saw all my precious things gathered together in one place. Thank you so much for inspiring my practice which had fallen away recently 🙂

I was cleaning the house when I played this. Was a perfect accompaniment! Got all the windows open now and a warm breeze coming through...but yes I agree this weather is feeling like very early early Autumn but we haven't really had a proper summer yet it feels!

Merry meet. I am Susanna living in the US. I am a 69 year old crone. My ancestors came from Co.Antrim Belfast Northern Ireland. Thank you for sharing your alter…mine is very similar only located in my dining room. All my herbs are there and my great grandmother’s cauldrons are near for that extra magical power. I used to live in Chesterfield (we moved to Durham last year) and I have noticed since 2018 how the seasons are out of wack - We had the bad snow storm in February that year and then there was the heat wave that lasted all summer. The climate has been quite unstable for some time. Over the winter in Durham, we didn't get the cold weather that I expected we would - as we are further north, I would have expected it to be colder, but I don't know enough about the local climate to tell what is normal for the summer and we are influenced by the coast. During the last few years of living in Chesterfield, I noticed that many of the plants were growing out of season, flowers that should have been around in spring and summer were around in late autumn, hedgehogs being out of hibernation in winter when they should have been asleep and trees losing their leaves early because of the summer heat. It's been troublesome for some time.
There are some real problems aren’t there? And they are only going to get worse, I fear. For a few years the changes have been very subtle but now they are right in our faces. Last year our neighbour made us a hanging basket for our wedding anniversary in May and it was still blooming like crazy in early November. It’s all wrong.

Weather has been not that good in S-W France. Two dayd of sun and two days of rain cycles with cool temperatures for mod July. Good cleaning of your altar. Lots of beautiful bits and pieces on it. Blessed be. 💚

I agree the autumn vibes seem to be here early. I enjoyed watching this altar cleanse. I love the wolf handle on your dresser. My Dutch dresser seems to have become an impromptu altar, as well as a display for dungeons & dragons miniatures. It definitely needs a declutter 😂.
@@angbane it’s funny how the place seems to just suggest itself isn’t it? I’m glad you like my handle, it was sold to me as a fox but when it arrived it was definitely more wolf-like but I still loved it! I have bee handles on my bathroom cabinets and they are insanely cute 🐝

A word of warning re: not opening your Lammas oracle cards. I ordered the Soul Cats Tarot and my hubby put it away to give me a couple of months later as a gift. However when I opened it and took the shrink wrap off the cards there was one missing! I contacted where I had purchased them from to be told that because it had gone 28 days she ‘couldn’t’ sort it out and told me to contact Llewellyn in America. Thankfully they were excellent and sent me the missing card straight away, however another company may not have been as easy to contact or as obliging. So I won’t ever leave a deck unopened now. Even if it’s to go away as a present I will open it and check all the cards etc are as they should be before it’s put away. 💕

Beautiful altar. White Sage acts like a spiritual bleach, it removes all energy, leaving a void which you can fill with positive energy, smoke like Palo santo or sound. Its nice that the old couple stay Around though ❤

I live in New England and it has been a horrible summer in the US, but complete opposite of yours. Extreme heat and humidity, drought, plants and flowers are drooping and yellow lawns. No one even wants to go outside. I'm just chilling in my home with central air. May I have some of your weather? I am excited for Lammas and just finished getting my altar ready. Earlier in the season we had a nice balance of sun and rain and plenty of haying going on. Hoping it will change in the next week or 2 for a decent harvest come Lammastide. Your altar looks lovely!
Oh my goodness, that sounds really unpleasant. I hope you are coping OK - stay cool and hydrated and look after yourself! We have had so much rain here with very few what I would call ‘real’ summer days. And already, it’s starting to get darker just that little bit earlier. I love your shirt! I’m a Ravenclaw too! My husband is a Slytherin. 😆 We live in the US, Midwest. It has been very hot, and smoky from fires in Canada. We still try to enjoy being in garden as much as possible. We hit the ground running with gardening in our town, especially as snow tends to show up in October and doesn’t leave till May!

I really enjoyed this; I admire your confidence in cleaning g the top of your altar - I’d have had to climb on a footstool to check that there weren’t any spiders lurking, rather than confidently wiping without checking!😂( or maybe you did check off camera?🙂).
It’s good to see ‘reality’ - that altars/ things/ spaces, get dusty & untidy & need cleaning literally & not just spiritually. 😊🌸xxx

Nope, I just went for it. I never gave spiders a second thought to be honest. Hopefully they will have heard me coming and found a little bolthole somewhere! I actually love spiders in the house to be honest. They are highly protective and help to keep your home free from less welcome bugs. The only problem is that George loves to squash them so if we both spot one at the same time I have to break my neck to scoop it to safety 🤣
I used to have a huge phobia of spiders, to the point I couldn’t say the word! I’d shake, sweat & cry - not the small ones, although size can be subjective 😂
But I’m a lot better now.
We have lots of cellar spiders ( those small bodies, spindly leg ones), & they seem to pop up randomly. I don’t have an issue with them as such but if they’re in our bedroom then they get caught in our spider catcher then relocated.
Paul goes to bed first and does a check for me, then I check when I go to bed - there was a cheeky one suspended in a web ( I do dust/ decobweb regularly!) between my bedside table & our bed! I definitely had to relocate her/ him! 😂

As far as weather, I am in the US, North Carolina. Basically, we are cooking down here. Upper 90s with heat index above 100F. Maybe i need to move over there. I prefer cool and not so much sun.

I'm feeling the starting Lammas prep - I ordered some corn husks to make a dolly with. I had one that I was very fond of, but for the life of me I can't find her!
In terms of general 'feelings' from the world though, it does feel like there's been a pressure release - can't quite put my finger on it, but it feels better :)

@@fifty-somethingwitch2406 I'm a clean and tidy person, but I am terrible at cleaning my altar, soooo much stuff to move. I make a ritual out of it like you do, I make my own Florida water to spiritually cleanse everything with after removing all the dust and incense ash, and I also hit it with smoke and bells! More is more 🤣 but yes I agree the difference in the energy after a reset is amazing isn't it? 😁🥰
@mamajusmagickalemporium2655 it really is! The whole hallway seemed to sparkle with energy after I’d finished! I have to say though that I really don’t mind my altar getting untidy and messy - it’s place of work and focus and creativity, it has a heart and its own energy and it is meant to be used! And cleaning it is a joy and a privilege ♥️

I’m not sure about this, but maybe to keep your smoke bundles dry you could store them in a sealed glass jar with either some salt or those silica packs to keep things dry that are mailed to us. Much love to you and yours.

THIS YR WE HAVE AN ABUNDANCE OF CAT MINT NEVER PLANTED IT JUST SEEDED ITSELF. I HOPE TO LEARN A LOT FROM YOU ON YOUR LOVELY CHANNEL.
AFTER BEING A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN FOR 50 YRS I HAVE LOTS TO LEARN.
IT IS VERY STRANGE MY WHOLE FAMILY JUST STOPPED BELIEVING IN GOD OF CHRISTIANS OVER 1 MONTH. THIS YR

WHEN YOU MENTIONED FALL WAS COMING EARLY MY RASPBERRY'S WHICH USUALLY COME IN LATER AUGUST ARE IN FULL BLOOM AND WE HAVE BEEN EATING FROM THEM FOR TWO WEEKS. NOW .SOMETHING STRANGE IS HAPPENING

Here's me having learned a little something new: I had thought that sage removed all spirits from a place, be they positive or negative. I've always been afraid to have sage of any kind in my apartment because I have a little black ghost cat that I discovered the night I moved in. I get the sense that she is absolutely ancient & has probably been on this land for centuries. She's my paranormal pet & I see her almost every day. I was anxious about ever having sage about in case it drove her away. And my great-grandfather from my dad's side is one of my spirit guides & he & his dog turn up occasionally. Now I know the good spirits are not affected by sage. Fantastic to know in case I ever get a baddie who needs kicking out. I have psychic abilities so it's like being a lighthouse to the other side.
