Cream - Wrapping Paper (Music Video) & The Worst Mime They Ever Did!
Переглядів 7 тис.9 місяців тому
Cream miming very badly along to their first single 'Wrapping Paper' in 1966 in France. They frequently go in and out of sync with the backing track, Jack repeatedly gets the words wrong, and Ginger is visibly not actually hitting the drums (and missing fills)

Pete Brown looks young here and old in 1971 😒🤣
I've just never got it with this guy. Very overrated, imo. There's literally a list of 100 drummers that I would rather hear play and solo.
Drum solo? I’m taking a nap. Wake me when he’s done.
Getting into the zone.
" I think" ," this is just me saying ,on my looking at it ," " the herion & other drugs wich most ,say 90 percent of musician's were doing was a combination of the three greatest white musician's of that era .They did have the talent, that played a large factor of " WHY" .OVER B4 IT Started .I know the arguing was that .One of the safest things that happened when CREAM called it quits .Ginger baker was a loud drummer, undoubtedly a GOAT , They all were ,its a business, you can. see it in the body language, CREAM. will allways be remembered, I love this band ,always will , none of the 3.5 miniute songs bands would play back then, even now ,LED ZEPPELIN ,their music / songs went on for 10 miniutes, or so , only the best of can play like groups of this calibre. Their songs have true meaning , they tell of stories that are ❤ed by millions, I get teary thinking about it .Anyway never never forgotten." To all of the groups of guys & girls ," if it wasn't for you people ide rather be 6 ft under .Very much appreciated to have grown up with your knowledge and experience, thank you 4 all the ❤️ ts you touched.
Ginger looked 80 in that 1991 interview footage. Must have been some ROUGH living for those guys. Hell, Andy Sommers from the Police is 81 and looks younger today than Ginger and Jack did in the 90s.
You can hear the junk in Ginger's voice... but man, what a brilliant drummer. All of them are brilliant and had such a mastery of their instruments.
Base guitar by Eric Clap
He is overrated !! Bonham, Moon, Paice, Peart, and Mitchell. Carmine Appice blows him away too !!
So what?
I created my own version of strange brew, funny how things keep getting changed.
This should be titled “Cooking with Clapton”. First lesson - how to make cream.
I saw Ginger Baker play about ten years after this, a few years before he died, in London with 'Jazz Confusion'. He was even more crippled up with arthritis then and on powerful pain killers - but he definitely still had it!
If wondering sadly were a music video😂
Репутация, гавно когда ты гентй Я
very redundant solo ....
It was a practice session, not a performance...
Their first single, done as a joke
lmao, sounds like the crowd is jeering them, wtf? They weren't opening for Herman's Hermits were they?
Everyone commenting about what a nice irreverent song this is is probably ignoring the part about "The yellow Buddhist monk is burning brightly at the zoo" referring to the self immolating monk in Vietnam it's referring to.
I can almost guarantee you Baker was thinking about whacking Bruce with that racquet the entire time.
I like this more than SUNSHINE OF YOUR LOVE.
Ginger smiling?
Doe’s anybody knows cover of this tune by Rotary Connection? On vocal - Minnie Riperton ! It’s a very decent interpretation. I’m the fun of Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker from 12 years old.
3 man band , thees3 men sold more records than the most important book ," IN a couple years , we still have MR ERIC CLAPTON .I❤EDUBLOKES IN 68 ,I WAS 5 ,SWEEEEET MUSIC THEY MADE ," THE IMPROVISING , UNREAL.
I can’t stop loving my guy Ginger Baker drum SOLO ❤🎉
He was a famous junkie asshole drummer...... there is a very long list of proficient, highly talented drummers that go beyond the scope of what you see here.
I can’t stand this guy .
1:53 lol at this point Bruce isnt even trying anymore
I think Ginger is hitting on the truth at 9:16 that once you get over the ego clashes that existed within the group, Cream was a greater force and energy than 3 individuals and that it was special. Probably took him some years to realize that in retrospect.
One of the most overrated drummers!👎👎
AIDS.
Number 1 !!!
I got to see him live before he died. He seemed kinda grumpy then to.
Somehow i overlooked this song until recently even though I'm 68 and cream figured hugely in my youth. It has a 1940s British Jazz feel. Love it.
Verbally abused people just out of shot
Ginger Baker POpomaker
I've just got into cream I was born 1988 !I got a black 61 SG and I started listening to cream and clapton in his SG era !
Something Fresh.... Fresh Cream.
Not very good is it
I dont know what Im missing, Baker is overrated. Am i the only one who thinks this?? He's a good drummer sure, but an all time great? I don't see it.
Don't compare him with the drummer of this time, compare him with the drummer of the 60's and 70's! I hope you will unverstanden!

Every drummer since Ginger Baker will have at least a little, but maybe a LOT of his influence in their playing. He wasn't the first to play double bass drums, not by a long way - but he was one of the first to use all four limbs independently. Max Roach said that Ginger Baker didn't use his second bass drum just to play fast footwork, he used it musically as another tom tom. If Max Roach starts giving someone credit for innovation, might be an idea to take him seriously.
hows the singing!!! holy sheet
👍
One thing, I love the frogs introducing the band
The spaceship is smoking and at 3:38 it takes off.
Wow how great is that !! Jack was a Great Songwriter, Great Bassist, and an Amazing singer. Love this !!
Everything about this is brilliant, including the fantastic arrangements for guitar and drums. What an awesome group they were!
This would sound ten times better if the drum kit was tuned properly.
John McLaughlin called him Peter the Poet. Very creative lyrics.
Ginger reminds me of a less amiable no nonsense older brother of whispering Bob Harris. I think Anyone For Tennis is a charming whimsical song. I like it when artists occasionally do the opposite of what's expected of them, like The Stranglers with Golden Brown
Genius magic
0:55 Pavarotti should have taken operatic singing lessons from this guy.
