Sometimes you work to avoid dealing with issues affecting your life. Ive done that all my life but when work ends such as when you retire then you must deal. It’s never bad to try and be productive in your life but you must deal with your issues. They never go away.

this video was really insightful and well put together! i appreciate how you tackled such a sensitive topic. however, i wonder if just talking about it might not be enough for some people. sometimes, setting boundaries with family can actually be more beneficial, and not everyone might agree with that approach. it’d be interesting to hear more perspectives on this!

For real, I was trying to organize my whole life and specify everything that I have to do in 1 week, now i’ll try learning it in 1 month and it’s because I’m heavily scared of the future, Artificial intelligence unemployment, Universal basic income as a result and getting controlled by the government by 2030, economical crisis I was… moved by fear

So I have a quiz in my major (accounting).... last week I was so happy that the quiz got moved so I have time to study.... But now... Only a few hrs til my quiz and no matter how much I study nothing is registered in my mind. I don't think I wasn't focused, I can recall some things I did study, it just wiped off my mind like 80% of it. I had to record myself :' so I can go back to studying. And whats worse is that even though I got a good score in my exam (saw it yesterday, was happy for awhile), I just can't seem to be motivated to do more. I'm scared I may be too lax.

Whoever wrote the definition for hurry sickness doesn't even know the definition of "fast". Quickly would be the word in place of fast. They're not the same nor are they interchangeable.

I've learned that telling people you appreciate their intentions just allows them to be more manipulative. Something like: Thank you for asking, but at this time I can't help you. I'll let you know when I'm available to help you. Or you could say: No. I won't do XYZ. Please don't ask me again. I appreciate you're a helpful person, but with that I'm not disposed to wait on you whenever you think I'm available. of course I'm going to come across as mean and offensive, but I'm not going to just let people walk all over me because they think I'm a nice person.

the affirmation that really made most impact to me rn was “I have done enough and I am enough” I've been studying for the past weeks now to prepare for the upcoming exams this week and I felt anxious suddenly. It came without notice. I just suddenly felt uneasy while studying hours before the exam and my heart rate was increasing to the extent it made me feel distracted. That's when I figured maybe I need to rest and relax. I listened to videos and did breathing exercise, including this one. It helped me. I felt better compared earlier. Thank you so much

I am a nurse and hate my job. You confirmed burnout. I want to lay in bed on my off days, I just want to be left alone, I feel hopeless that I won’t find a job I love. I’ve pushed every one away, my house is cluttered with piles of clothes books papers. Ive started hoarding. In my mind Im thinking I just want to go home …and I am home. WTH

Hi. Thanks for the motivating advice. I'm actually need this for my son. He's been struggling with his thesis for the past 2 years. He's actually in the last semester of his thesis dateline. I'm so worried about him. I keep on motivating him with all the resources that he might need for thesis. But he suddenly stopped when he just about to start it. I've been angry and sad at the same time to him. I'm a single mom. So all what I've been doing is only for his own good. He has been doing 2 different jobs in a year. Now he's stopped his last job because the place where he works has been discontinued him. I want to take this opportunity to build up his motivation to continue his thesis. Please tell me what should I do. I'm also incapable to take a professional therapist or professional psychologist to help him and myself for this matters. Please if you could give at least an advice what should he do to make him do his thesis. Thank you so much 🙏🏼
