Earbuds with podcasts or music. I just lost my husband in June to suicide. I’m stuck and get overwhelmed so easily. We were together 38 years…I never seen it coming
@@jackiebushable Jackie, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. I lost my son and the pain is so raw. We knew love. Remember that everyday. Some people go thru their whole life & never know true love.
“It’s just one of those days that I didn’t want to be in front of the camera” You’d never have known it, as an outsider, if you hadn’t mentioned it. Good job getting up and just doing it (as always) 👍
Would you be able to do a video on moving past nihilism? I know you said this video is aimed at high achievers and I'm not one, but I've been struggling with thoughts of "Why bother if nothing matters in the end?" This thought pattern makes every thing a slog. You addressed hopelessness in the video a bit but I'm in a later stage of despair. I don't enjoy activities or hobbies and I'm just slowly rotting away.
I'm sorry you're feeling this way-- I think this is a great topic and I actually am planning a future video on meaning and purpose in life where I can address this topic further.
Hey, I know you haven't asked for my opinion, but I would like to chime in. If you have such nihilistic thoughts, why not tell yourself that since it doesn't matter anyway at the end, why not enjoy the journey in the meanwhile when you are "conscious" of it? Because we do not know about life after death, whether we are ever going to be conscious again. So, why not just spend the "one life" on our own terms and make it interesting for ourselves? This is what I tell myself when I feel life is meaningless. Nihilism isn't necessarily a bad thing. It can be used wonderfully to one's advantage when life is rough or when you are hurt or upset. Use it like a switch. Turn it on when you are down. Turn it off when you are happy.
What helps you get out of your head?
