A few things that might be the case: -Being stuck in analyze mode or freeze/fight response can trigger this. - Lack of vitamin B, D or Magnesium can cause you to repeat thoughts or situations in your mind again and again - If you're overwhelmed or burntout, you're more likely to struggle switching between tasks mentally - Anxiety or obsession makes this happen more often -Too much sleep or not eating enough makes you struggle with this more often as well These are my experiences so far with this situation
