Yea it’s actually Kai’s main focus to derive most of the pacing it has from the manga, as well as as the most accurate possible translations from it as well. The difference between the original Z and the manga is very obviously VAST, and Kai is just cleaning up the mess it made with mis-characterizing the characters including and especially Goku

Goku himself should be in A tier for the Tournament of Power. The Pride Troopers and Bergamo lathered on the villain accusation pretty thick, but they were right. Goku's shortsighted lust for fighting was the only reason the tournament happened in the first place. Even if he wasn't the one who decided on universal destruction as a punishment, it's his fault that two thirds of existence was in any danger in the first place. Him being the protagonist and a hero for the vast majority of the series shouldn't exempt him from being a villain in part of it

Personally I think Grade 2/3 and Blue are necessary forms for DB. Idk about everyone else but I like forms to have Flaws. Grade 2/3 showed the difference in experience between Trunks and Goku and Vegeta. SSB is arguably the most explored form in DB

I would put Beast Gohan at the last place because of the asspull nature of it and SS3 at second last. I would put SS4 at number 1, SS1 at number 2, "Mastered" Ultra Instinct at number 3, Ultra Ego at number 4, and Oozaru at number 5. SS2 gets a massive ranking drop because of the "it's quite literally a stronger super saiyan" nature of it.

Saiyan/Frieza Saga dialogue, outside of being Dragon Ball flavored, was quite generic. As far as Goku is concerned. It's not until he's met with actual consequences for his assumptions, in the Cell Saga, that we start getting edgier and more unique interactions between Goku. Prior to that, it was the generic "am good man, I kill bad man, you bad man, hurt my friends, and small baby that am barely around"

I definitely feel like One Piece is more creative, but not because it's better written or anything, mind you. But because it's less formulaic as Dragon Ball, or even if it can be, it's done in such a way that still makes each saga feel fresh to me, because of the build up in between. Dragon Ball is repetitive, largely because of it's simplicity. It has the potential to be fun and interesting, but for me, after I finished the cell saga it all felt really stale and predictable. One Piece at least can surprise me.

I'm basing these on the manga cause I haven't watched the full anime Saiyan: Introducing power levels Namek: Horrible power creep Celll Disjointed story that only moves because of bad decision making by the heroes Buu: Tries to do too many things at once and just feels bloated and unfocused Destroyer: Rushing through new forms Future Timeline: Unsatisfying ending (also not being consistent with how time travel works in the series but that's a nitpick) Tournament of Power: Way too fast-paced Moro: Too derivative of the Cell Saga (especially with the senzu thing) Granolah: Storyline feels forced and not very believable The original series is so good all around my only real complaint is the excessive perversion early on

Super Emotions/Challenge yourself in life

I like both Baby’s Super Forms because of the narrative behind which was an organic version of Baby’s design. It was mean to show that the more powerful Baby becomes in Vegeta’s body, the less the body resembles Vegeta and more like Baby, symbolizing the more control Baby has over Vegeta. Additionally, I like how he was written in his own arc was his involvement with the Great Ape.The placement of Great Ape is important in the Baby Saga for an additional reason: you see, in the Saiyan vs Tuffle(Baby’s race) war, both sides were equal with neither gaining the advantage, however this changed when the full moon of Plant Plant/Vegeta comes play as it only appears once every several years. This let the Saiyans transform into Great Apes which was ultimately was the deciding factor in this back and forth war. The Great Ape carries this theme of “History Repeating Itself” and Super Saiyan 4 Goku vs Golden Great Ape Baby was essentially a challenge of who could take that deciding factor from the last conflict and use it better in this new conflict, to which Goku was able to win the challenge with Super Saiyan 4 as he wasn’t tied down by negative feelings such as hatred and was strengthened by his love for his friends and family, where as Baby was only able to achieve Golden Great Ape and that’s it because of his hatred inhibiting him and tying him down(thematically speaking). The Great Ape is the main thing that controlled Baby’s life as it even gave him PTSD when he saw Goku turn into a Golden Great Ape himself and he essentially becomes what he fears and hates the most: a Great Ape. So yeah, the Baby Saga is one of my favorite sagas in Dragon Ball, not just because these reasons but also becuase it introduced my favorite form of all time: Super Saiyan 4! I also think Baby is a very relatable character as when he infected anyone, they identified themselves Tuffles, and when Baby decided to infect the entire universe, meaning turning them into Neo Tuffles, it meant that Baby wanted his race back and didn’t want the tragedy of Tuffles to repeated again(even Bulma confirmed this in episode 35 in theJapanese version.), which is why he wanted to rule the universe. However, as the arc progressed and he was getting pushed back by the saiyans, Baby slowly began to become more and more twisted and drowning further in his hatred, losing sight of his goal, resulting him trying to destroy the protagonists by any means necessary, even if his infected subordinates got caught in the crossfire.

After seeing multiple youtubers talk about this topic both are good and has their good and bad. My favorite things from each saga, each DB show Classic Pilaf: the whole time period from Ox king to the Great Ape was awesome Tournament: Namu, and the fight between Goku and Jackie Chun was beautiful RR: the Baba tournament, specifically Goku fighting Gohan, that was a freaking masterpiece Tournament: Roshi at his best and Tien is such an interesting character especially by the near end Demon King Piccolo: Piccolo himself, revealing so much to the lore Piccolo JR: pretty much what you said Z Saiyan: Piccolo and Gohan's relationship development Namek: what you said Android: everything up to Imperfect Cell absorbing android 17 was perfect, and SS2 was pretty awesome too Majin: Buu turning into a child all up to Goku leaving with Uub is just masterpiece, super Buu was so fun, but from Kid Buu, we learn more about the Kais (not Bibidi's reasoning for some reason), Vegeta at his best in Z, and the spirit bomb finishing move was amazing GT Black Stars: the potential to tell interesting and unique stories from each planet was insane, especially with Goku getting nerfed Baby: the whole Baby lore and SS4 was just pure masterpiece NOBODY CAN BEAT ME WHEN I'M SUPER 17: any 18 moments was awesome Shadow Dragons: you cannot, i repeat, CANNOT, come up, with a better idea for a final boss of Dragonball, you just can't, oh and the ending, don't even try, the ending was masterpiece Super... I love goku spirit bomb against kid buu and seeing everyone stop this monster was really awesome and badass in my opinion, but personally for me my favorite is the cell saga with gohan taking down perfect with the Kamahama with his father made me so happy in my opinion.

The kids being able to go super saiyan already at such a young age makes perfect sense. Unlike gohan these kids actually enjoyed sparring and training. It’s stated multiple times that both trunks goten showed more potential than gohan did as a kid.

Ultra Instinct, and Ultra Ego are not Saiyan Transformations. In fact, none of them are transformations at all!! They are all techniques!! I hate it when 95% of UA-cam think they know Dragon Ball and know completely nothing. This is the 3rd time in mere minutes I've had to copy almost this exact message from somewhere else.
