First one. Cause the second one is fake... you know whatever happens you are not going to die if you loose... no matter how much you try to convince yourself to believe a lie about 90% for motivation you know it's not real... you always know

Reality is neither friendly nor is it savage, the truth is that whatever you decide to do in life - you do it without hesitation. Take resolve, because you are fighting not to survive, but to thrive. Life is the opponent, and in this moment it has taken physical form and stands opposite from you in the ring. Seize the future you want.

The "locked in" way; Casual but dead serious when it's training time, focus on how you actually fight rather than the scenario.

I use an entirely different method, but it probably falls under the savage category. I temporarily convince myself that I am a god and no one can actually knock me out unless I'm not trying, so I have nothing to worry about at all during the fight as long as I keep trying. That mindset keeps me going during later rounds

Btw, "savage" way has/encourages similar patterns of thought to OCD. It can get really bad if you don't check it frequently

Snapping on jabs and straights is easy to learn but hard to master, doing so in bent punches like uppercuts and hooks is harder. I once met a retired professional boxer (still boxing for fun) who still did the paper thingy, but could snap on ANY angle, His name was Raul Zavahal-something something- I don't remember it well, but he was SO COOL
