You don't know how long I've been waiting for this vid. I'm a shorter boxer myself, and I always have problem fighting taller fighters with pendulum steps. Definitely try some of these tactics in the next sparring. Thanks Andrii, you're doing good work.
andrii I started boxing 4 months ago and I was struggling with how to add combinations with the pendulum and you cleared all my doubts with this video. Love you брат😘😘
The amount of distance that you cover with the pendulum steps when attacking is mindblowing. People don't expect such a distance coverage and often lean back, and you can crush them easily. Tried it myself in various sparrings.
@@akhotinbxng Another amazing thing I noticed is when you bounce forward, you can throw the lead hook to grab the opponent's right arm and use the momentum to get it out of his face. This opens him up for a powerful straight cross that lands 90% of the time. Amazing style.
Thank you Andrii ! Your knowledge and understandment of boxing is very much appreciated, you have a knack for teaching as well. Hope to see you with your own world champions some day .
1 level changes, in out, low up 2 hiding power shots, in out, to the side, gazelle hook 3 break rhythm eg lead rear hand 4 in out, steps with combos 5 feints, Counter the reaction 6 bounce then suddenly cut angles 7 control and remove the lead hand 8 repetitive attacks, in out and flurries 9 change directions to get closer 10 step backs then reply 11 Square up to move laterally to escape the ropes 12 simultaneous counter, remember to move your head off the centre line 13 apply pressure safely to manage distance 14 cutting off the ring
Love your stuff! I really enjoy the Eastern European style, like Bivol. Just getting into boxing, and I think I’ll adapt the pendulum style. Keep doing your thing!👍
I hate being reminded of that Loma Haney fight... I still don't understand how anyone thought Haney won. Dude threw the same ineffective rear hand to the body the entire night while the smaller guy walked him down and snapped his head back over and over
This is awesome! 🤩- Id love it if you broke down some of this stuff even more - like how to drill it- especially those direction changes - but everything is sooooo good.
This style is hard to make work if your stance is like a more square Thai/dutch style. It’s difficult to check, low kick, knee etc. If you get good and lead side kicks and spinning attacks, it blends together nicely. It opens up your lead leg potentially for kicks but if your timing and movement is better you can nullify it
Bro I don’t know if thats a coincidence or not, but I was asking about this specific question in your last vid… now, this is what I call customer service!! Mad respect. Thanks for your content! 🫡
I'm pressing charges for providing criminally good boxing instruction.
Ahahah I have nothing to defend myself with ;)

Yes that’s true essentially when you take a few bounces forward in a row

Yes that was a robbery. Haney is just more profitable
But hey atleast some boxer with a fast left hook destroyed Haney like he was just a punching bag.
Pretty informative instruction! Thanks for your sharing these skills and knowledge!

I needed this video. I like pendulum step, but I thought it would not worked for me because I was short.
You can definitely make it work situationally
great videos
Thank you!
Can we get an instruction video for outfighters who want to mix and use pendulum and regular steps because can’t maintain the pendulum a whole fight
I will take a note for that
I’m a taller boxer watching this so I have no weakness
That’s even better. You can apply most of these strategies on all fighters

Hey, awesome video ! Do you think 1,77m is tall enough to really dedicate myself to pendulum step or might it be difficult ?
Hey, thank you! I’m 177cm tall and use the pendulum step all the time so you can definitely practice it
where did you get the boxing shoe laces from
It was coming with the shoes. These are adidas box hog 3
Can you make a video on Bob&weave
Yes, I have it planned in my content calendar
Thxs bro
You’re most welcome
Can u make a video for shorter height and short reach
I will note that
Hello Andrii. What drills would you recommend to help against inside fighters who put a lot of pressure and throw a lot of hooks?
Ring generalship and control; using post; create angles; counter punch; practice body shots
@@akhotinbxngThanks for your reply! Will work on that before next sparring session.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

And what about strategies to defeat smaller fighters?
Well that is a topic for another video

I'm 14 and 5'8". I get so drained when I play Soviet-style in the sparring. What do you think I should do to improve my stamina?
I think you should improve your technique and skills. Also work on your physical conditioning
I wonder how i can apply this to my kickboxing style 🤔
Hah I am not familiar with kick boxing specifics but I think there should be a way
