    I believe that a Boxer's biggest concern in a street fight is getting kicked in the legs and being taken down with some type of fall. Because of this, I think it's super valuable for Boxers to learn how to defend themselves from kicks and takedowns, because even though no one wants to get into trouble, it's better to know and not need it than to need it and not know. Even boxing footwork techniques also work to defend yourself from kicks, I've already tested them in training and it was very useful, but knowing other ways never hurts. An arm of Brazil 🥊🇧🇷

      I’m not the best at peek-a-boo but I can give some advice for infighters.
      Practice with the slip rope, connect a stick to a wall to practice head movement, work in the frontal stance sometimes, imitate infighting while shadow boxing

      I think you should understand Mike Tyson’s stance and footwork first before footwork, especially how he “walks” forward and how squared he is. A lot of people think he’s wide stanced but it only looks that way because he’s squared. His feet are shoulder width apart. You can watch clips from Mike Tyson’s training or demonstrations by him on UA-cam since I think that’s the best thing to do. My coach taught me the pendulum step as well as what he called the “Mike Tyson Walk” and I think it only works if you have a good understanding of the style and why he uses it. Try watching breakdowns or filmstudies of him.

    Great video, great tips. I love your attitude like how you say to not let them hit their head on the concrete or check on them when it's over, best of all I like how you said to avoid the fight if possible. But 1 tip from me as an American. You said in the video that you want to be the one that attacks first, but in America that isn't always the case because if you attack first you can get arrested for assault but if you let them attack first and you are ready for it then you counter punch then it's self defense and you won't get in trouble with the police. Keep up the good work though and I just started tonight but I'm going to watch every one of your videos.

    what's your opinion on muay thai for self defence in comparison to boxing?

    • @akhotinbxng
      @akhotinbxng  6 місяців тому

      I think boxing is better because it’s simpler and you don’t really throw kick with knees in a street fight because it’s risky. Elbows and grappling part are good on the inside but I would prefer to keep the distance

    • @HighGuarder
      @HighGuarder 6 місяців тому

      @@akhotinbxngit’s easier to learn boxing but you learn what’s needed like distance management and good footwork, so imo you don’t need kicks or knees, headmovement and parries are all you need. You can defend against kicks by simply managing the distance too, boxing is the art of distance management basically.

    question, i see you throw straight punch to his chin, wont that increase chance of breaking your hand, or you hook his chin from the side, i see most ko is from the hook? but i see a muay thai guy say to hit straight to chin or solar plex? also i feel, a ko may not come, better to take him down and then elbow?

    • @akhotinbxng
      @akhotinbxng  6 місяців тому +1

      Any punch in a street fight can mess up your hands so you have to be careful and focus on your punch articulation
      I can’t talk about Muay Thai much cause I’m not very competent at this. But overall I would prefer to keep the distance and not get too close
