@@akhotinbxng I’ve been a coach for... almost 11 year’s. I’ve worked at gyms where, the owners only care about the high paying “clients”. If you’re calling someone a client and not an athlete, we already got a problem. CTE and these coaches seem to go hand in hand. They’ll let rich ppl beat them up for fun so they can tell they lawyer friends on the weekend they sparred with a “pro”. 🤦🏻♂️. Anyway, keep doing the right thing my brother. ✌️
The war is terrible and I the whole world could live in peace but it’s almost unreal to forgive Russia for what they do to Ukraine I have nothing against you but I don’t see our countries shaking hands
I don't know who you are but as soon as i heard you say "1 2 3, Muhammad Ali" i knew you were Ukrainian, different Slavic accents are so similar yet so unique
Hey guys, I did a free trial of a 1 on 1 session. I know it's good value and I did learn a lot. BUT they expensive. Like the most valued plan is a 15 session each costing 850 HKD. (Around USD109) How much do you guys pay for 1 on 1 coaching?
Well the price depends on the level of coach. Average price in Ukraine is 12$ for one session But of course there are too tier coaches who charge way more
In the one where it says lack of diversity in training, my gym has the same principles, work the jab and backhand then 1,2 on heavy bag, or some days anything on the bag, 20 mins skipping and running + pads. We do this every day however, we change how much we do of certain things. Like sometimes we do more bag then running, but sometimes more running than bag
Also if you go to the gym and you see all JO junior level boxers. The coach only cares about numbers for the money. Don’t bother with those gyms. And those gyms where the boxing coach gives all his attention to one boxer is the worst. I was at one of those gyms. That is where they use you to spar with someone you shouldn’t be in the ring with.
I think everything at my boxing gym is great except for sparring. I’ve been regularly training for over 3 months, but I’ve never sparred or seen anyone spar there despite this gym having a ring. The trainer says I need some doctors note if I wanna get in the ring, should I change boxing gyms? I wanna actually learn how to fight in a real scenario.
I'm in your same boat. My gym is a mix of 'boxercize' and sparring, and they often won't encourage you to do harder sparring until your technique and endurance are top notch. They have two sparring classes a week and they're often later in the day so I rarely see any of it. My point is that you're probably decent, but not being fully trained in fundamentals (and gassing out quickly) increases the risk of injury a lot, so they're probably just being cautious. But get that doctor's note if you wanna take it to that level!
Go get that note and see what your coach has to say next. I think after 3 months you should start incorporate sparrings If your coach takes you down and you’re sure that you’re ready, try checking out some other gyms. It’s not a problem to go to 2 different gyms
Ohh I don’t have such an experience but you have to find potential clients, come up with a strategy, advertise the new gym, rent a place, fill it with equipment and sign up those clients
Wsp Andrii, just wanted to ask if I should switch to Slugger from Infighter/Boxer Puncher... Because my punches have tons of raw power but my head movement isn't as great as it should be... I mean I have the power in the hands to knock out the opponent in a few punches.. so was considering switching to a slugger style
I am 5 foot 1 and around 105-120 pounds and i like to punch the bicep and use lots stiff jabs and i like to use lots of hooks and also am good at using multiple stances and gaurds so what type of boxer should i be
I trained for about a month and I just learned the basic punches and kicks and some footwork ( I trained kickboxing) we would warm up then do drills and combos that was for the people who are advanced, then after I learned the basic things I was thrown with these " advanced fighters" doing complicated combos 5x combos and head movement ( which I did not know how to do it) all that happened in less than a month, I'm still not sure but was I in a bad gym?
Well that’s not a good approach to teach a beginner. The gym and the coach may be good but treating a beginner like isn’t a way. That may happen if you’re the only beginner in the class, but if not then the training program isn’t really good as it doesn’t consider level of all students Overall it’s a sign of ignorant coaching
I trained basic combos before these advanced ones but I did not know any defense, couldn't even defend a low kick or a jab, so I was confused why am i training with people who had way more sessions and months of training or even years , I would like to know your opinion about it, big fan from Egypt ❤@@akhotinbxng
Is it a red flag if on each competitions we arive he drinks alcohol and buy prostitutes together with other coaches and leaves kids (which he train) in camps without any attention? ) and sometimes returns drunk with a company of prostitutes) but by all other criterias he is ok) very competent)
