The Battle Of Adhd: Why It's Worth Fighting For
Everyone experiences moments in life where everything feels like a fight. Catching up, getting ahead, staying ahead. For those with ADHD, that fight can feel never-ending. It's never enough to catch up because by the time you do, you're behind again. Once you get ahead, you're fighting again to keep that lead. But with all this fighting, have you ever stopped to ask "Why"?
As you have probably noticed, I've been away for a bit. While away, I kept coming back to this question of "why are we fighting" and "what's it all for". My goal with this video is to hopefully help you start that conversion with yourself. Between catching up, getting ahead, and keeping the lead the fight may never stop, but understanding your "why" can make it that little bit easier.
I'm excited to be back and sharing about my ADHD experiences. And I'm looking forward to hearing about your experience and your "why's" as well.

My ADHD week and how I dealt with it!
Переглядів 9112 роки тому
Last week was an ADHD week for me. I don't call them bad weeks anymore. A bad week is having to replace and AC unit and a refrigerator in the same week. An ADHD week is when your ADHD is acting up more than usual and it'd difficult to get them under control. This week I talk about my three takeaways from having an ADHD Week 1.) It's ok to have an ADHD week. Everyone has an off week so we should...

This video was inspired by Jessica at HowToADHD. I watched her recent video "The struggles when ADHD goes unacknowledged and under diagnosed" explaining how she grew up thinking her needs are not important. This triggered a couple of thoughts... 1.) how being labeled as "too sensitive" sent the message that being sensitive is a bad thing and that my feelings and emotions are not valid. 2.) She ...

This video is the first in a series on how I manage my ADHD starting with the most important step in building a system that works for me. The most important step to managing my ADHD is to figure out my immediate problem to solve. Most of my hacks and systems were always trying to solve the broader problem, but I realized that you can't solve the over all problem unless you solve the immediate p...

ADHD and time blindness... There's never enough time!
Переглядів 6 тис.2 роки тому
I always thought time blindness was a secondary symptom to another ADHD symptom. Hyper focus, Hyper fixation, perfectionism, and distractions, , causes me to lose track of time. Lately it has been the primary symptom where it doesn't seem like any other symptom is at play, but time just flies by. It's like time slows down for me, but speeds up for everyone else. How do you experience time blind...
ADHD and Negative Self Talk
Переглядів 1,2 тис.2 роки тому
ADHD and negative self talk... Our inner voice when we talk negatively about ourselves when we mess up, especially if it is due to our ADHD, is not our own inner voice. We are just repeating things that we have heard throughout our lives over and over again. Now we believe those things and we tend to get down on ourselves using other peoples voice. Let's change that. We need to make our inner v...
Re-thinking task management systems for my ADHD brain!

The best task management system does not equal productivity. All my life when I struggled with completing tasks, I was told "All you need is a good task management system!
