Another very relatable video. I've gotten angry with my kids for ADHD related stuff when I should TOTALLY know better. I've found myself apologizing to them too many times. Then negative feelings? I absolutely CAN'T think about myself as a kid, especially at school, unless I approach it in a comedic fashion, otherwise I'm often almost driven to tears (or actually driven to tears occasionally). The ADHD-friendly house (and workplace) has been my main strategy to get through life, people who don't understand ADHD just thing I'm super quirky. It feels SO NICE when I meet someone else with ADHD who uses humor as tool.
Wish you had more videos of parenting and kids advice. My son is 11yrs old and had ADHD. Great kid, it was hard for me to accept it at first. I got on board and started to research about ADHD. And we sent the non medication route. It has been working for a while now. But he is growing and new things are popping up. Like burnout, this isn’t something that I read on. Everything that I had researched was working so I thought we were fine. But as he ages his mind is too. Hope to see more videos of tips for kids.

My daughter whos 6 has adhd and its been a hard battle through out her time at school controling her feelings and emotions and the school could not managed her so she was removed, its been such a rollercoaster.
Oh my! I can only imagine what that struggle is like. As a child I couldn't regulate my emotions at home, but I don't remember having a problem with my emotions in school. There was no controlling my anger when my two older brothers picked on me, or when I felt like I was being treated unfairly. You and your family are in my thoughts. Thank you for sharing.
