How u get the seiko watch dial?

Do you regulate your watches that you sell at all, or is it sort of “what the factory sends out is what you get” type of deal?

You mentioned it’s a true gmt movement. It’s not, it’s a callers gmt. A true GMT has the local hour hand that sets independently. The Miyota 9075 is a true GMT movement, the NH34 is not.

How do you know if you cut the stem too short or too long? This is my second mod and both seem to be cut right (crown seats well into the case, and moves without issue) but the second had will stop moving, the. I tap the crystal and it starts moving again. I’ve read that the second hand might be touching the inside of the crystal and to shave down the inner ring of the caseback. Any advice?

Hi Jason. Where did you get the base unit for the LH0105-4 tool? The one that it came with is oddly shaped and brass in color. I am talking about the one you show on 7:00 of this video. Thanks.

I purchased one of those LH0105-4 hand setting tools from AliExpress. I noticed that you have a round silver colored base unit that seems to fit with this unit and your movements. The one it comes with is brass and weirdly shaped. Do you mind sharing what base unit you have that works with this tool and where you got it? Thanks.

If you just use your tweezers to gently bend the extra dial feet back and forth a couple times, they will break off flush with the back of the dial, instead of leaving a sharp little stump behind. Also, just curious about your reasoning behind spending time cleaning the outside of the crystal before installing the movement when you can clean that any time after the watch is assembled.

Removing the date wheel was so nerve racking lol. Lost 2 of the screws in the process but managed to make it work with just two. Thanks for the video

If the case specifies it fits the NH36 & NH35, can you always just use the NH38? Are they the same size?

I really enjoy watching these builds. Thanks. After watching I bought parts to build a GMT and I'm having issues with mount the hands. The dial I have has raised indices and the GMT hand fouls on them. So I have to play around with all the hands and they end up strange angles for clearance. Any advice?

Awesome build. I’ve made a handful of a very similar design for some friends that I work with. Question on the NH35 date wheel removal. If I’m building a no date watch, I typically go with an NH38 (as you said in the video). When you remove the date wheel and white gear as you showed, does it remove the first click when pulling out the crown? Or is there still a “ghost” position? I really enjoy your builds. Great editing. Solid voice over. All around good stuff.

Where do you get your custom dials if you don’t mind me asking?

I just finished this build and love it! Question is where did you get that hand set? The one linked and all the ones I could find were like the original Yacht Master, yet the one you show in video has white counter weight and full blue color. I like the look of it and think it sets it apart from a Yacht Master.

I bought one that looks exactly the same but I cant open it for the life of me. The pins you push in to change the bracelet are stuck and I dont know what to do

I noticed that you were filing the cut off dial feet nearly overtop your exposed movement. Is that recommended?

I notice that the dial in AliExpress doesn't include the "Seiko" on the dial. Did you add a decal, and if so, where do you find them?

Great build. I built this same watch using AliEx parts but the seconds hand I got is the wrong color blue and is barely visible. Yours is much better. Which part is it? When I click your link for the hands I see like one of 50+ choices, can you tell me which one is the right light blue for an NH35? Thanks!

This watch case is the most comfortable case i ever had.

Got all the stuff I need to build it ended up cutting the wrong pin now the dial looks tilled.
