ordered the identical parts you used , took less then two weeks for everything to come. Had my horologist buddy put it together in about 30 minutes. looks even better in person! thanks for the inspiration to do this . Can you do a day date type build !
Thanks for another great video! I've now ordered the tools and parts to try my own first build, inspired by your lessons. As far as two-toned watches are concerned, I'd have to say nay for myself. Possibly I might make an exception for an actual vintage watch that otherwise knocked my socks off.
Good job you make fitting the hands look so easy, I just tried my first build, I had problems with the minute hand and bent the second hand I think I need to try again with a much lighter touch and I'll get there in the end.
Hey, the linked movement is currently not available to be shipped to Canada. Do you have any other links that may be shipped to Canada? Will be helpful.
If you're using a 40mm case it may not be as tight a fit. Just check for side to side movement when it's fitted. Your case may require a movement spacer if it is loose
Im not sure if that movement would fit in this case. Id double check with the supplier of the case first. They may have an adaptor to suit what your after
I really like the fact that even if you are offering these watches on your website. You have still provided all the parts links. Keep going ❤
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback! It's all about transparency and hopefully helping others!

Thanks! Yeah it takes alot of practice, and you will definitely destroy more parts before getting comfortable with it!
I always watch your videos they are interesting and very helpful.

It came out great, thanks for trusting me with the process!
Amazing build! Btw what camera do you use JB?

Awesome video. At 8:22 do u just randomly put the seconds hand on?
Thanks! Haha i wouldnt say its randomly, but yeah im putting the second hand on
Please tell me the link you order your dials from please 🙏🏾
All links are in the description!
I did all steps but when it was time to put the movement in the case, it didn’t click in like yours did. What should I do?

Hey I’m running into a problem, when I put on my second hand. It moved with the other hands when I’m winding the watch. I’m stuck and lost please hell
Sounds like the second hand may not be pressed on properly. It may be jamed between the hour hand and second hand post. Id take it off and try again
The gold is plated right? Can you keep us updated how the gold is holding up
I have a rose gold plated seiko mod for 4 years, still holding up strong!
Could I used a sw200 movement?
Im not sure if that movement would fit in this case. Id double check with the supplier of the case first. They may have an adaptor to suit what your after
Are the parts from alix good quality?
Not all parts are good! But you can certainly get great quality parts once you find good suppliers
@@jbwatchmods the parts u link in ur videos are good quality? Im just trying to start building my own watches!
Yep, definitely a good place to start!
@@jbwatchmodsthanks, btw love the two tone look, and the green(my favorite dial color)
Yeah, this one came out killer!
How do you know which spare watch stems to purchase?
You'll need spare stems for whatever movement you're using, in this case its the NH35. Ive linked the correct stems needed in the description :)
