Small Scale Logging For Firewood!
We salvaged a pretty decent red oak log and fell a maple tree that had a dead top on it. Both ended up giving us some really good firewood!

    Hey bud I have the same trailer bought it about a year ago love it the first thing I did was ditch that stock Jack and installed a hydraulic Jack from Stillwell cost around 800 bucks and maybe 6 hrs to install but very much worth the effort cranking those jacks is the worst and changed out the tires to 14 ply’s much better with a heavy load also might be a good idea for you is to install timbrens on your truck my f-350 sagged big time with a load the timbrens took care of that good luck with your new trailer

    The only thing that im hesitant on is the tension side of your design, being that your pillow blocks are far less adjustable since the slider captures your pillow bolts and does not allow for elongated holes. Have you had any issue with lacking pillow bearing adjustability on your tensioner side?

    Your math for the bundle size isn’t adding up, your bundles are actually 1 cubic foot when you make them 9”x12”x16” long. 9x12x16=1728 12x12x12 =1728 If you made the bundles 12x12x16, to would be 1 1/3 cubic feet of wood. Just so you know you can change your labels to reflect 1 cubic foot.

    • @McKameyFarms
      @McKameyFarms Місяць тому

      I actually mis-spoke in the video about the 9” mark. I actually fill it to 7” to get just over .75 cu ft. I do usually go over that mark just a little so the customer always gets what they’re paying for 👌🏻

      I’ve moved a lot of wood this weekend. The cool snap definitely got the wheels rolling. The bundles are .75 cu/ft. Some may be just a tad bigger but the mark on my Bundler is for 0.75

    I've never had hickory to split. Wish I did. Nice video. Just subbed!

      It’s a love hate relationship. Sometimes it gets really stringy and hard to separate. It’s some really good wood though. I appreciate you subbing 👍🏻
