Good Morning! I saw this video pop up and it grabbed my interest. So I had to go back and watch the preceding videos to get caught up. Great job! I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the project and it cutting its first log.
Thank you Stephen! I appreciate you coming along for the journey. It’s been a fun project! Looking forward to getting it going and working the kinks out. Hoping to be sawing some logs into lumber soon! Take care, Brandon
Thanks Del! I’m looking forward to milking some lumber for sure. The Yota is one of my other projects 🤣 it’s an 85 Xtra cab. I’ll try to get on it a little next
I appreciate it Tom! I’m getting closer to the finish line with it and I’m getting anxious to try it out. I know there’s going to be some kinks to work out, but it’s been a fun project
Hey, just watched your video. The tensioning bottle jack system can be completed by allowing the bottle jack cylinder to pass through the plate steel. On the outside of the plate steel you should mount square tubing that houses the spring and a press plate.
I shifted gears and I’m using threaded rod and a 4,000lb spring. That way once I get tension dialed in, I’ll just torque it down and try to get repeatable tension 👍🏻
It’s getting close! Just wrapping up all the fine detail stuff which usually is the most time consuming. Looking forward to making some sawdust with it 👍🏻👍🏻
Hello sir, have you done any more videos about this sawmill?? I have been looking for them in your channel but cant find anymore. Best of luck and keep up the good job!
I haven’t put one out recently. I’ve been really busy with a lot of other things and haven’t been able to dedicate any time to it. I do have it tracking with a blade on it. I’m 95% done and about ready to run it through log for first time. Keep looking out for it and we’ll see how it goes 🤞🏻
Thanks Genin. I totally agree on the chainsaw selection. It’s pretty disappointing! But they’re not too bad for many other things. I like buying my nuts and bolts by the pound there as well.

The sawmill is coming along nicely. I think some of those items are better off to be simple. Take care my friend

@@McKameyFarms Thank you, best luck with everything!
Looks good, tractor supply does have more than people would expect somtimes. If only they’d carry a better chainsaw selection!
