Like everyone else I am behind in production. Been working half days during this hellish heat and humidity!! That will be sweet when you finally do get the land leveled out to roll the rounds over to the splitter. Take care Brandon!
It’s been just miserable the last week or so. We finally got a little rain last night after about a 2-1/2 week dry spell. It’s a lot harder to make up ground in the heat for sure! Take care Obie. Stay cool and hydrated
I've always liked the way red oak splits. The maple looks good too, but that red oak really makes good bundle wood. The heat is bad in WV as well. Definitely looking for some cooler days for sure.
This red oak is a joy to split. About 1/4 way in and it mostly just pops apart. The maple is nice to work with too. I’m already looking forward to October 🥵 I’m really not a fan of summer these days. Stay cool and hydrated Joe
Nice splitting session buddy! The pad for the dump truck is a good idea. It will definitely speed you up and make unloading the rounds a ton easier for ya.
Good morning Brandon. You definitely have plenty of wood to split. Slow and steady and cool and as dry as possible. Set yourself a fan up by your splitting station. How’s the lymes doing on you? Hopefully getting better. Take care my friend.
Thanks Al! I have a big fan I’ve got to get back out 👌🏻 I’m pretty much back to around 100% from the Lymes. I’m feeling much better. Just behind now and slowly but surely start working to get caught up .
Thanks Bobby. Yea, I believe it’s dang hot everywhere 🥵 Makes it tough to split firewood 🤔🔥 Lol.. I hope all is well in your neck of the woods and stay hydrated working 👍🏻
Some dang fine looking splits Brandon!! It’s been stupid hot here too!! How are you drying the wood in a kiln? In totes or another way? Enjoyed it as always!!
Thanks Jacob. This maple and red oak is a joy to split 👏🏻 The last wood I had kiln dried I took in an IBC tote. He just set the whole tote in the kiln and then pulled it right out and loaded it up. The guy I took it to worked it in when he didn’t have a lot of lumber that week
It is tough to have enough hours in the day to keep up firewood production with all the other things we need to do in life. “Keep on Keeping on!” Tim in Oneida
Hey Brandon , I’m behind also . I thought about you the other day when I came past the oak ridge exit on I-640 . I figured you was at work since it was a Friday . I was on my way home from the garden tractor extravaganza and my trip to Oklahoma . Take care my friend 👍🏻🇺🇸🪵
I was probably working! I’m finally getting over the Lymes disease stuff and now it’s so dang hot 🥵! Well do what we can and I guess that’s all we can do 👍🏻👍🏻 Stay Cool Del!
I’m definitely a fall winter guy myself. I’m getting to where I really dislike summer. We don’t have much of a spring either! It usually lasts about 3 weeks 🤣

Thanks Tony. Been after pretty hot and heavy to catch back up a little from being down with Lymes. But this weather is making it tough 🥵🥵

Thanks Jeremiah. Trying hard to get caught back up. But boy this heat 🥵😅
Nice splitting session. It looked like some nice bundle grade. I think it's been hot everywhere this past week. Stay cool and hydrated my friend.

You sure hit the nail on the head Tim. Not enough hours in the day for sure! Just got to press on and do what we can 👍🏻👍🏻

Glad you are getting over the Lyme disease , next time I come thru maybe it will be a weekend and we can meet up for lunch or something .
Good splitting session, it’s Heatwave up here too, Stay watered down and feeling good!
Thanks Genin. Just a little here and there. Slowly working my way back to 100% 👍🏻
Maybe build a solar kiln?? That would be cool.
I may or may not have already been buying material 🧐🤫
@@McKameyFarms 😳👍👍
Some good work there. I am very behind myself. Vegas Vacation can do that. LOL.
I appreciate it! I’m sure the heat is always on in your neck of the woods, so I shouldn’t complain 😅 Vegas sounds fun though 👌🏻👌🏻
I’m also behind, one summer came in there’s a lot of other stuff to do without videoing, definitely like fall or winter better 🚜👍

@@McKameyFarms I here ya 👍
Nice splitting session, we are way behind as well. The heat is almost unbearable.
I appreciate it! I’m finally feeling well from the Lymes and not it’s like an oven! It’s rough for sure
