It really helped to get it up and elevated to save bending over so much! I’m hoping it works for firewood as good as Virgina Tech says it does for board lumber? 🤞🏻
I figured you had some kind of project cooking up!! Looking forward to seeing your progress on this man. I’m sure it’ll be WELL built. Very cool idea. Enjoyed it Brandon!! 👊🏻
Another good video. You made short work of the floor. I like the use of the ledger board. Might use that myself on my next building. Looking forward to seeing more of the build.
Thanks Joe, I’m a fan of the ledger board. And if your building a deck, it will hold the joists for you while getting them secured 👌🏻 Appreciate you as always
Check the 16:35-16:40 after the drop, the bottom sheathing on the right side (As looking at the video) popped free. Might want to ensure to tack it back up tight. Don’t want any mice to get in there…….Looks like a really good build and hopefully will pay for itself quickly, while supplying dry bundle wood. Great idea 👍👏🇺🇸 Rick
Thanks Rick 👍🏻 I think I had some nails that missed in that area. I went back and put some screws in it to secure it. The mice would’ve loved that 😅😂 I think it’s going to work out really good. I’m hopeful that it will yield the sage results in firewood as it does for sawn lumber. I appreciate you as always Rick 🔥🪵🇺🇸
@@McKameyFarms I think it’s going to work really well ! I figured you probably had, but just wanted to make sure, those mice can ruin just about anything, and love insulation. Look forward to seeing this project to completion Great start Brandon 👍👏🇺🇸
Nice floor! You should maybe caulk the seams on top sheathing so water doesn't get down to insulation and lower sheathing. Or keep it trapped when it rains.
I did get it covered before rains set in. I think I’m also going to coat it with asphalt sealer. I’ve seen where a lot of people use it to paint the inside of their solar kilns.
I’m hoping to get good results with firewood in the kiln. Should work in theory I suppose 😂 I got the bundler complete and it was picked up a few weeks back. He seemed pretty happy with it and it performed well 👍🏻
Really nice to have the goose neck trailer to help start the build! Best wishes the rest of the way, Brandon!

Looking forward to part 2! Pretty exciting!
It’s coming together good so far. I’m hoping to finish it up before the heat of summer is gone so I can get a load in it and give it a whirl.
Great Video. Looking forward to the next installment of this project.
Thanks Stephen, I’m hoping to get as of good results with firewood that they’ve been able to get with board lumber

Enjoyed it Brandon!! 👊🏻
Thanks Jacob! I’ve been studying these things for a while and I figure I can get good use out of it with firewood and sawmill lumber 👌🏻

Awesome project Brandon! I’m excited to see more! I can see it now… McKamey Wood Kilns! New side hustle!! Take care👊🏻
😂 I’ve got to see if it works first. Hopefully it’ll yield the save results with firewood that Virginia Tech is getting in sawn board lumber 🤞🏻
Like to see when finished. Good video
Thanks Rick. Hopefully I can get the same drying results with firewood that they’re able to get with sawn board material.
Really excited to see the results of this build, good work sir!
Thanks Genin. I’m hopeful it will yield the same results with firewood as Virginia Tech got with sawn board lumber 🤷🏼♂️
Looking forward to following along with this build. Take care my friend
Thanks Bobby, hoping to get the save results with firewood that they’ve gotten with board lumber. May just need more fans but we’ll see. 🤞🏻
That’s gonna be a great addition for sure
Thanks! I’m hoping it will yield good results with firewood as it has with sawmill lumber

UA-cam won't let me follow no more channels. So I shall comment in hopes of catching 2nd video on this build
What’s the max # of channels to which one can subscribe? Tim in northern TN
I appreciate you watching! Hopefully you’ll get to tune in for the rest of the build 👍🏻
Was that your brother who made a cameo appearance in this episode? Tim in Oneida
That was actually my dad. He came over to see what I was up to and ended up helping with the OSB 👍🏻
Hey Brandon , that solar kiln is going to be nice . How is the bundle wrapper coming .👍🏻🇺🇸🪵
