It’s been awhile, but I’m back hitting the floor. I suffered a shoulder injury last year and kept doing my burpees and playing. During this past season my shoulder got worse and couldn’t do burpees, push-ups, dips or even sleep on my shoulder. After a bunch of rehab I’m back. Thought I’d reintroduce myself to the floor with 300 6 count burpees!

As a coach do you think doing those kind of training are hard on the joints ? Dangerous in long term? I mean its awesome for the body and mind but its a really high volume that we all do with burpees and push ups
I’m not a coach. Honestly, I don’t know. In my life exercise science has changed so much, one day something’s good and next it isn’t. I think people need to gather information from within. I know these types work for me and I like them, so I do them. In saying that, I also make sure to warm up and cool down properly. My joints feel good. Also think it’s not what you do, but how you do it that matters.

How's your body feel after all the high rep burpees, particularly your joints?
Joints feel fine…. I spend a good 15-20 minutes warm up and cooling down. I’m actually going to up my reps and get back to basics
@SonOfRich56 I notice burpees seem to have a cleansing reset type feeling to them. If I ever feel slow and stiff from other activities they seem to get everything flowing well again.

This sound so silly, but I’ve never thought to do “how many can I do in a set amount of time”. It’s always “how much time to do a set number.” I really like this as an alternative paradigm to keep it interesting. You’re hitting amazing numbers!

Salute. You are the only one in yt that did 1000 navys in 1 session! wow.. I just did 666+ navys yesterday for 2000 pushups live on yt, it took about 2 hr 33 mins. thank you for showing all of us that 1000 navys is possible!! that's my next goal! we keep grinding NGAF
How have your joints felt since adopting the high rep bodyweight routines? If you listen to the HIT bros on the internet they say that all the reps cause a lot of damage to the joints over time, but I feel like the reps actually bring awareness and circulation to the joint.
I never had a problem with my joints, but I also take care of myself. Good warm up, cool down and a night routine to prepare for the next day.
