“Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.” So said the great 14th century Italian mystic, Saint Catherine of Siena. It’s true, though, isn’t it? It’s saints who have most changed the history of the world. That’s why the discernment and pursuit of God’s will for our life - in matters big and small - is the most pressing task. That prayerful discernment is made all the more ...

His movement came to nothing in the 4th century as the book Nazarene Jewish Christianity confirms making him a false Messiah like the others mentioned in that passage of Acts chapter 5 34-39.

As a prior fallen away Catholic, returning to the practice of the faith has opened my eyes to all I was missing in my life. I finally heard God calling me! Ignorance is the devil's trap, and I was so very ignorant, despite many years of Catholic school. Three lents ago, I decided to start attending Mass on Fridays as part of my lent offering, and I have continued. I especially love the 1st Friday's. We couldn't dare ask for anymore than those 12 promises. My parish is not close by me here in western NC, but I watch--participate in--the daily live Mass on EWTN, as well as the 3-4pm hour of prayer on the network. I too have enjoyed following this journey with you. Hope you will be able to find the time to do it again.

Thank you again Bishop Boyea! It’s been a beautiful year and I learned so much. I’m over in New Hampshire in the diocese of Manchester. The Eucharist is such a gift and Tim Busch is so right about bringing back the processions! I’m sure we’ll see the impact at this week’s Eucharistic Convention. Happy to report I’ve been attending daily Mass before work for a couple of years now and really can’t live without it. Blessings to you and the Diocese of Lansing.😇🥰

I have one good talent given by Our Lord, which he has allowed me to use for my temporal needs and give glory to him in my use of it. But hat talent doesn't translate into helping others in the sense of a work of mercy, except that i pray a lot for those i dont know hoping my prayers help them. On a true level of the corporal works, I feel so inadequate in doing more than donating money or goods, though. What can I offer?

As a former parishioner of St. Luke, I am continually thankful that Sr. Carol and the late Sr. Judy took an abandoned parish and brought it to new life. What they have done over the past 20 years for the men, women and children of the northwest neighborhoods of Flint is amazing. • @windyday8598

no one's presence, soul and spirit, remains in their deceased body. the spirit leaves the body at death, and if saved, goes to be with the lord eternally. to suggest that there is any interaction between the dead in christ, and those who are alive in christ, is not founded in any biblical truth, and is condemned by God: calling up the dead. the devil is capable of all manner of deceiving miracles. "heavenly favors" come from God, thru christ only. because of unbelief, people resort to trusting in their own made up deities, or spirits. that too is forbidden by God, as well fashioning any sort of images to look to for help. our help, as followers of christ, comes from the lord. hebrews 4:16 straight from the throne of God. do not insult the spirit of grace by turning to some other source. a strong delusion.

If you truly believe you are receiving Jesus Christ EVERYONE of us should be kneeling & receiving on the tongue. When we die & meet Jesus are we going to shake His hand, I know I will be dropping to my knees & asking for His forgiveness. My granddaughter just received her 1st Holy communion. She was kneeling & received on her tongue. I have noticed her parish has the kneelers up at the alter. I love the fact they are up there, I kneel receiving Jesus & I receive Him on my tongue. I only receive from a priest, I will not receive the Eucharist from a lay person. I am noticing more people are receiving on their tongues & kneeling.
