- On Saturday, May 11, at Saint Thomas Aquinas parish in East Lansing, Bishop Earl Boyea ordaining seven young men to the diaconate for the Diocese of Lansing. Each is now an ordinary minister of the Eucharist. Each, God willing, is now just one step away from ordination to the sacred priesthood. Hence, this week On the Road to Emmaus, Bishop Boyea pauses to allow ourselves to be inspired by the testimony of these newly ordained young men. For him, they are a “magnificent seven".
