Thank you so much for a thorough beginner's video!
Awesome! I see Kim Diehl quilts! Yay!
Hello Kristine, thank you for the tour of your marvelous creative space. Dream space! Ya'll did a lot of work. Beautiful. Inspiring.
Hello! I have looked back to FlossTube 7 when you first introduced your stitching of Quaker Handework, and I can't find the name and count of the linen. Also, did you do a floss conversion? If so, would you mind sharing the colors? Was it DMC? I have had the pattern for years because I love the design, but I just couldn't get turned on by the colors...until I saw yours. Thank you, Vivian Ann living 100% off grid on the side of the mountain in northeast Tennessee
what are the clamps on the side holding the fabric tight called?
Hope my question will be answered. Can you use this frame for rug or punch hooking? Thank you for sharing your incredible work.
I would not use it for rug hooking. Since the scroll bars roll I would think the pressure of your hook would make it loosen up as you worked.
I have a huge project that I'm sure will take me at least 4 or 5 years and I need this!
All I can say is wow!!! I like how it helps you to be able to sit up straight no a natural bending, thank you for finding this and I will be ordering my own!
Worth every penny!
I started this video because I am looking for a larger embroidery stand. When you started, I thought "Wow! She looks a lot like Christine" then you said "I'm Christine." I had no idea you had a UA-cam channel. This video was truly informative, and you answered so many questions! Thank you! And I hope to see you some time. :)
LOL, well hello there! Glad it was helpful.
Your studio is simply magnificent!!!!
Thank you.
Excellent presentation, thank you! I have a question about the metal stand: isn't its metal base supposed to fit under one of the armchair legs in order to be stable for larger frames? I'm thinking of purchasing one just for a larger frame, and I'm curious if it would have the same issues should it be pressed under the armchair's weight. Thank you again!
Hi. Yes, it is designed to go under the leg. My issue is that the rod comes loose from the base. So the base stays under the chair but everything else is moving around.
Thank you for such a thorough review! I really need a good stand but have to be careful, as postage to Australia usually more than doubles the cost of an item, by the time it is shipped.
That’s always frustrating. I hope you can find something local for you.
Oh I wish I had known you were in town!
Unfortunately it was a short and sweet trip that time.
Where do you find the clamps that you use with the velcro loops to hold the fabric taut? I just realized those are suspender clips!
I found them on Amazon. There were called mitten clips I think.
@@mountaincraftsstudio Yes and there are many more choices under pacifier clips
love the video very interesting!!!
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your favourite floor frame.
You’re welcome 😊
Love your space. Thank you for sharing.
I've enjoyed your video. I have a quilt from about 1890, I think, made by my great great grandmother. It is the Texas star pattern. Ted, blue (that has faded to green in places) and cream. It was inside a tied quilt that I took apart to put new batting in and have quilted...and this was inside. Much of the fabric has become thread bare. I did rebind it because the binding was gone and I was afraid it would fall apart more. It has cotton batting coming out in some places. I'd like to restore it...maybe put new pieces on top of old shattered ones? I'd sure like to see your next video.
Wow. So how much did you bring home? It looks like a fun place to sit with friends and shop till you drop.
I admit I made a pretty good dent in the Blackbird rack and the fabric.
Love the family tree idea from your mother’s piece, perhaps ornaments hung on the tree. Even transferring photos onto fabric, then stitching the names and dates. Would be so neat to see the generational hand stitching, eventually passed to the next generation. ❤
Great idea!!
Does cross stitch peddlers have online shopping?
No they do not, but you can call or e-mail.
Thanks for the tour... and I see some things I must call and order❤ Beautiful shop.
What a shop! Well stocked! I see a lot of older designs....Ewe & I, Black Swan, Sekas, etc. Thanks for the tour. Marilyn
Beautiful ❤
What a wonderful tour! It appears there may be some hidden treasures in the Cross Stitch Peddler. Let us know if you found any oldies but goodies❤
All I can say is, "WOW!" Up here in Canada, places like that are few and far between.
Great shop and great tour. Although music was lovely I couldn’t hear what you were saying. 😊
I noticed that something happened to the sound while it uploaded. It’s always something.
Loved the tour!
Thank you for the shop tour have a wonderful weekend and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
Thank you! You too!
Wow! What a selection of items! Thanks for sharing.
You could spend all day there!

What a wonderful video, your work is always so beautiful and so inspiring. Thank you for sharing ☺️
Thank you so much!
What a wonderful review of stands! I just love your videos.. thank you for sharing!
Glad you like them!
How do u craft in the evening or on a rainy day when u need to have a light on your work? ty
I have lots of lights in the ceiling so I usually don’t need one, but I do have a standing Ott lamp if I need it.
I have a ton of hooking supplies, then I acquired an allergy to the wool. Do you ever hook with anything other than wool?
I don’t but there are people who do. I think wool is used often because of its ability to felt and stick together, but it’s not absolutely necessary. I think there are plenty of acrylic yarns now days that you could try and should work well if you densely pack it together.
I just found your channel and have to ask you if the cat was diagnosed with Upper respiratory disease? If so, I may have a cure for her. Lmk Jacque
My stand arrived!!! Your review put me over the top. Well done. I love it🙂🌷
Excellent! Hope you enjoy it!
Just found your channel! Thank you for the very informative video on the different frames for stitching. You also showed your iPad on which you have your pattern. What app do you use for your patterns on the iPad?
Actually I don’t use a cross stitch app for tracking. I just have my pdf patterns on my Google drive. I can just open the pattern and zoom in to the part I am working on. I admit it has spoiled me. I find myself wanting to zoom my paper patterns now. 😆
Great review, so thorough !! Thanks, enjoyed your video very much
Glad it was helpful!
Can you give the names of and where you bought your stands? Thanks
The Mark 2 floor stand can be purchased from Hearthside Craftworks at www.evertote.ca. The Potoky stand can be purchased through Hobby House Needlworks. I’ve had the others so long I can’t really recall where I purchased them.
Thank you thank you thank you for this great review of your stand! I’ve been searching for a “forever stand” for large projects for some time & your review has been THE most helpful review I’ve seen!
Glad it was helpful!
Just found your channel. I am nearly 60 years on this earth, also starting fiber crafts in childhood. I urge anyone doing fiber crafting... learn the side bits of wood working... to make the wood tools needed. It is reasonably easy to manage.
Thanks for your video, it was very informative.
You are welcome!
Well well. I have created a craft room with 2 looms, and a small rigid loom like yours. A Cheticamp rug hooking frame, sewing machine and parts for all the bigger items, 2 spinning wheels. I am in heaven when I am working on my projects. Your craft shop is beautiful! I thought I had too much BUT after seeing all you have I no longer feel that way. Happy crafting! 😊
Thank you. I probably shouldn’t mention that I have another building down south then. 😆 It’s nearly empty though other than a few looms and antique wheels.
Excellent demo and thank you for the opportunity to see such a great project.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you! I've been looking for that type of stand! It looks like it would be perfect! Would it work with qsnaps?
Yes, absolutely. There is a different attachment to order that is a clamp that holds them.
I was on the fence to buy this and after your review you’ve convinced me!
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
