Adorable felted ornaments. I love Ethel, she’s beautiful ❤️
I love your collectible of the day! Thank you for showing the adorable felt ornaments! I’m adding them to my to stitch list!
Ethel is sweet. I had a close friend, Ethel. Very nice video and cabin.📗📗📗
You are so pleasant. Thanks for that and all the goodies you have will be fun to see. I wish I had access to my grandmothers' hand work because we are talking old here. I say this because I am 80!
Thank you so much! That is so nice. I’m looking forward to getting to know friends like you through these videos.
Christine, thank you for another lovely podcast…love the cross stitch chart for your granddaughter’s jewelry box…my grandmother’s name was Vada…I only had a glimpse of the name on that sampler…it was beautiful…I have never seen a Sew Tidy Cabinet…that would be handy to use inside or out…I like the quite of your cabin…wishing you the best and happy stitching❤
Wow! I’ve never heard of another Vada! That’s awesome. Thank you for stopping by and watching.
So enjoying your Flosstube. Sew Tidy Cabinet, love the history and function of it, very interesting. Love your cabin, Kristy.
Thank you. I’m a fan of your Flosstube. We certainly have the same taste in projects. I always enjoy what you show and often place orders right after watching. LOL
Ethel is such a good helper! Your cabin looks like the perfect getaway! Your avid leaf blowing enthusiast made me giggle. How did you get so lucking having him as a neighbor? 😉 I’m enjoying your channel.
He was the WORST. I still have PTSD from his damn leaf blower.
I just discovered your flosstube videos and am enjoying them very much! I love your cabin and studio and the project you show are just my thing too. Now I’m going to be on the hunt for a sew tidy cabinet. ☺️ I also am stitching The Chase. It’s my oldest WIP - going on 45 years, and it’s close to being done!
The Chase is quite the accomplishment! I hope to get the similar one, Mary Bachelder, done someday.
Thank you for sharing all your projects and tales. Love your old sewing stand. I couldn't help but think how useful the top legs would be for balling up hanks of yarn.🙂
That’s a great idea!
So glad to find you. Welcome to Floss Tube. I love your projects and the setting is amazing 🤩. Looking forward to seeing you in the future 😀
Thanks for stopping by. I enjoy your videos. We seem to like all the same things.
@@mountaincraftsstudio we sure do!!!!
Your kitty loves you and your crafts
Yes she does. She’s a sweetheart.
Having recently subscribed to your channel, I'm now visiting early episodes. I love old things (I have many family pieces myself) and am fascinated by your "Sew Tidy" thing. It does look home-made, and the way the top pieces are shaped, leads me to wonder if it was made from old chair legs. And yes, Ethel is a lovely "dog"! P.S. I recently dug out my oldest WIP -- the better to work on it! -- and it's a Dimensions kit. Alas, it's a young 'un compared to yours. There's a "Thank you" from Dimensions in the kit, dated 2001.
Thanks for watching! I finished that ancient WIP and it made me feel great. Next one is a kit about the same era as yours. It’s full coverage. It may never get done if I’m being honest.
I love your cabin. Reminds me of one I stayed in at Pigeon Forge this spring. I love rustic
Thanks. We started looking in the Pigeon Forge area, then the fire happened and we decided that was a sign we should look elsewhere. I absolutely love Cade’s Cove, I could picture myself living there when those cabins were first built.
I love watching your videos! Loving the flannel shirts - that’s my kind of attire! I love your studio and your cabin, all your quilts and the projects you show. And of course I love seeing the kitties. I love how you talk to Ethel in this episode!
I wondered when someone would catch on to the flannel. lol I’m currently trying to figure out how to wear them all summer.
Thanks for showing your sew tidy. I have one I bought at an auction as a teenager in the sixties. Mine has an outside covered with a large floral print and is some type of cardboard. I had to replace the pockets. Never knew it had a name other than a sewing cabinet. Love the hand hewn look of yours!
I’ve seen several different sizes and arrangements of pockets. I wonder if they were advertised in a crafting magazine or something like that.
Oh, I love your cat and all the neat things you make.
Christine I’m now officially obsessed with you 🤩 I’ve been binge watching your channel and still have more to go💕💕💕 I love all your projects and your calm country life. That studio is amazing. I can dream🙏🏻🌟😊 have a great day my friend!
LOL, I’m still making my way through yours. I’m on #6 and I love every single project you’ve made so far. I’m making a wish list for the few I don’t already have.
How the heck do you get any stitching or anything done for that matter with that adorable kitty in your lap all day!? 😻
The struggle is real! She does get tired of me every now and then. lol
Adorable little pouch and the stitching for the jewelry box, I’ve got to try that.
Love the Christmas ornaments, Indygo Junction has some beautiful ornaments, will follow up on that. The bell was especially beautiful. Glad you mentioned Hamilton, lover Betsy’s videos, she is so fun to watch. The sewing stand is such a find, would scoop that up in a minute for sure. Happy Holidays ❄️🎊😻
Enjoyed the visit. Love Ethel! Thanks

Thank you so much. Ethel can be a total sweetheart when she wants to. Or she can be a real pest at times too. Especially when she’s hungry. LOL She’s old now though so she usually gets whatever she wants.
I’ve never seen the sew tidy cabinets before. I am going to be on the look for one or have my husband build one. You are so creative & are giving me some great ideas for my prim home.
Ethel looks SO SOFT!!! The softest dog I ever did see 😂. Louisa Fisher is beautiful. I’m glad you found it in Northern Alabama. I live in that same area in Madison, Alabama.
Ethel is the softest animal I have ever felt. She’s actually softer than a rabbit. Unfortunately that means all her super fine fur gets on EVERYTHING and is hard to get off. Her nickname is Fuzzbutt because she insists on fuzzing anything new brought into the house by sitting on it. But she’s old and we love her.
Found Louisa in Florence. Our cabin is about 45 minutes from there.
Love the cabin it’s beautiful 🤩 enjoyed catching up with you today have a wonderful evening and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩🎅🎄🤶
Thanks for stopping by!
I think I had a sew tidy that came home with my husband (he buys boxes of things at auction) but i didn’t know what it was😬
I can see that happening. I have a thing I couldn’t figure out what it was. Come to find out it was a tie rack with a cover to keep dust off. lol
So happy to have found your flosstube! Beautiful Sew Tidy! I've seen a couple of those in my lifetime and now kick myself I didn't buy one!!! Love your style of decor, it's mine too! Absolutely love those wool ornaments, especially the heart shaped one. I was looking for an idea for making an ornament for a friends birthday, I think I will style one similiar to your heart one! Thank you for your flosstube! I look forward to following along!!!!
Thanks for stopping by. The ornaments were fun to make. I’m considering doing them again with different colors.
I enjoyed your flosstube today!
Thanks for stopping by.
I love Ethel! 🐈⬛ If you find anything about the fabric bell I'd love to know. I thought it was adorable! I would like to whip up a few of them.
Thanks. I will if I hear of anything. I may just have to measure it and wing it.
Your work is beautiful...also the area you live is breathe taking... where is this
Thank you. It is in NW Alabama.
I❤️your cat!
Thanks. We love her too. She’s a character.
Would he make and sale them
No, sadly the size of them would make the shipping costs more that what the piece is worth.
