Dude nice! I’m so glad I saw this video. I just got a car for my kid and the sunroof is missing so I’m gonna do this to it.
Make sure to use lexan instead of plexiglass. Plexiglass cracks too easy

These cars are way to rare to be drifting maybe light street drag but these cars can be beautiful if taking care of

I have a 97 with a w58. Will you drift it on stock power and just a welded diff? I don't know if it has enough power to break traction.
Yes he will, it has the power but the gearing in the w58 sucks. Second gear is way too long. If you run a smaller tire that essentially makes the gearing shorter and should make it better. That and high tire pressures. Don’t be afraid to go above 50psi

Ge VVTI, either on a non vvti ge block, or with gte rods and pistons. That’s the best bang for buck anyways

Stock gte vvti ecu
how did it you tune the stock ecu?
It’s not tuned. Just a stock gte vvti ecu with adjustable fuel pressure regulator and manual boost controller
@@TeysikI have a 2jz ge vvti out of a 2003 Lexus is300 Im putting in a Chevy Vega, would the stock ECU work like yours in it? There's a lot on stand alone but not much on using stock for the swap
@@robertconklin3850 the is300 ecu will not work for very much boost. But it can be used for low boost. But the rods in that engine are too weak for much boost anyways
@@Teysik all I'm looking for is roughly around 300-325 HP to the crank. I already have the is300 harness but no ECU. Just really trying to avoid a standalone they are stupid expensive
@@robertconklin3850 they are, and then require tuning. You can make that power on the standalone. There’s info out there on it you just gotta find it

It's also a factory manual, so I'm sure that has you REALLY upset. But in all reality, the car was electrically totaled with the whole harness having to be reworked to make the car functional. It's living a better life this way then if it stayed in the yard where it was rotting away.

😂 the e36 diff should be strong enough, but that reminds me I need to check the fluid in it lol

what you do about the vvti solenoid oil line. isnt this the ge block
Yes. Buy a $50 line from drift motion that feeds the solenoid from the stock oil pressure sensor hole in the block. Then get an oil filter sandwich plate with an 1/8npt bung and put your pressure sensor there

@@cookie-hf5ww I actually can’t remember where my turbo feed comes from. Non vvti has cam and crank, but you’ll want to use the sensors and crank pulley from the vvti engine

Cool! ZF 5 speed out of a 328i e36. Stock rear end. Swapping to m3 trailing arms so I can run m3 axles

I did this with my turbo n/a 2J build. Running 15psi on the waste gate. I put it in my 74 Datsun 260Z. I have a 92 Supra intercooler on it all blacked out. From the outside of the car the only thing that may give it away is the 2 1/2 exhaust with a flow master on it. On the inside the only thing people see is a deleted radio and a boost gauge where the clock is. Car pulls like crazy on the freeway when you get on the gas pedal above 70mph and i downshift to 4th. 💪🏾💪🏾

With an adjustable fuel pressure regulator I think you’ll be fine. Just turn the pressure down
