Pulling Dents with a Washer and a Slide Hammer
Вставка

- Made a fun little video showing how I pulled the dents on my drift car with a washer, a slide hammer, and a welder. The results were much better than expected and definitely good enough for my beat up drift e36.
We're getting really close to getting this car on a racetrack, so stay tuned!

Awesomeness
Good job young man!
Brooo the custom welding helmet🔥🔥
😂
Nice work!
What slide hammer are using it looks decent. Great content, brilliant
No idea honestly, it’s just one I’ve had around for a long time
Interesting technique. So you cut the washer off the body panel with a cutting wheel and grind it flat with flapdisk?
80 grit is the way most are removing paint and primer as 36 grit will gouge the sheet metal.
Yes, and you are right. 36 grit scratches can be removed by stepping up to 80 and then using a paint stripping disc and then finishing off with a scotch brite wheel. Primer will fill any remaining scratches. But it’s better to just start with 60 or 80 grit to begin with. I wasn’t to worried about it since it was on a textured rocker
Sounds good. Your technique looked too easy. I'm definitely considering.
@@dennisrobinson8008 they make actual weld on tabs that are meant for this. They come in different sizes depending on how big of an area you have to pull
I saw those nail looking ones. Is pdr technique with glue tabs close enough?
@@dennisrobinson8008 glue pulling works really well as long as the metal isn’t thick/high strength, and as long as it’s not close to a hard body line. You also need good clean paint for glue pulling.
