im building a 2jz ge vvti for my e36 m3 and im wondering if i uses a oem gte ecu and wiring . is thet do the job !?
and shoold i delite the start code (key code) ?
with that do you think i can get 500hp?

You can’t make 500hp on the vvti bottom end. Need to upgrade the rods or use a non vvti bottom end. The gte ecu immobilizer is not easy to bypass. Just spend the extra $100 and get a non immobilizer ecu

I'm planning on swapping my 318ic idk what motor to go with though what do you think would have the most reliability for around 450-550? m50/m52 turbo, 2jz turbo, or ls and also what would be an easy swap and still reach those numbers reliably
A cammed ls would be the easiest and most reliable as long as you have an accusump at a minimum. They have oil issues at high rpm. M5x turbo would be easy ish if you can fabricate, but I’m not sure how reliable they are at 450+ hp. 2JZ is extremely reliable, but all of the turbo kit work makes it quite a bit more complex than an LS
@@Teysik I appreciate that, I’m leaning towards an ls just because I’m worried if I get a 2j and something breaks I won’t be able to get the part in time for an event but I really like turbo noise so I’m really torn.
@@kaituch9636 I was in the same boat. I thought an LS would be a lot cheaper, but I like the 2JZ way more. When I realized the 2JZ would only be $1000-2000 more, that decided it for me. The 2JZ is sick, even though I’ve had my fair share of struggles, I don’t regret my decision yet haha
