In my case my dad was LE, he passed away in February, and during my grief process I have realized I am not reaching my full potential at my current job. I had always had a passion for criminal justice, and I made it my goal to pursue a career in that field, because I’d had that realization that I wasted years not doing so and realized I’d regret that on my deathbed. I never say this in interviews but I’ll share it here.

Hi! Im a new subscriber! Im in the process of training my body. I feel great and im building my cardio......my plan is to pass my (PT Test) by mid August ....and push my application in right after i pass. While i await the next phase, im focusing on studying basics as you have suggested, cardio, and planks....lol. Im looking forward to 2025.....any advice for sore knees? Has your knees ever felt a little wobbly?

I seen a lot of cops are very unhealthy in the police force and i had to balance my meals when i was a former police officer but i drink plenty of water, eat healthy and did my workouts with body strength. Thank you Cop Mom.

Law enforcement did changed through the years when i was in the police force. I had a tattoo but it was on my left upper arm which is a Jesus cross but i covered them. I left in 2019 when i sprained my ankle. I was a no nonsense cop.

I am starting the process now to be a state trooper, I am very excited to do this. I feel like it is going to be important for me as a trans woman to be there in this field, I meet so many other trans people that are afraid of the police cause they are afraid they won’t be treated fairly. I want to make a difference within the community and make sure they know they are just as much a part of the community as everyone else is and will be treated with the utmost respect

Yeah, female cops???....an oxymoron if ever there was one. About as useful as a chocolate teapot. Watching some of the videos on YT, they should be limited to office work, instead of thinking that putting on a badge and a gun will make them "powerful". It would take six female cops to put down one average dude. Seen it a number of times, and they are just laughable. The big kick they get out of it all is doing "dressings ups" every shift. Stick with the texts, and emails girly!

And ive heard through the grapevine he targets sex workers, threatening to arrest them if they dont have sex with him for free Hes been a serial predator with a badge for over a decade and continues to get away with it, hes "respected" they all protect him its horrifying Hes married and his wife has rose colored glasses on , she worships the ground this monster walks on One time I was pulled.over for speeding (my bad I know) and cop noticed I was nervous because he noticed my pulse in my neck and assumed I was a criminal, asked to search my car because he thought I had drugs (I didn't). He said "you seem nervous, had many encounters with police?" I said "yes I was raped by one" he shut up pretty quickly. My nervousness wasn't because I was a criminal it's because I have PTSD and was having a flashback and trying to keep it cool 😭 Alot of police officers assume when citizens act nervous around them it means we're hiding something or did something wrong, I mean yes I was speeding made no attempt at hiding that. I was nervous because of the flashback and panic attack I was.tryinf to mask, not because of the alleged drugs he thought I was hiding. So nervousness doesn't necessarily mean we did something wrong or are trying to hide something

What about being arrested in high school and having a B misdemeanor, getting it dismissed and later got an expungement. Record clear. Will that affect getting hired at law enforcement?

Hello Melissa, Maybe you can help me out. I watch a lot of bodycam arrest videos and I often hear double beep sound. It sounds something like a loud "Bziip Bziip" and its heard even when an officer is outside of her or his car. At first I thought it was incoming sms but I couldn't find anything similar on my iphone. Is it a radio or does this alert sound comes from bodycam itself?

I’m currently a dispatcher and have seriously been thinking about becoming a police officer, probably for a little over a year now. I’m 26, but depending on exams (civil service) and the academy, I would probably be about 28-29 by the time I’m off FTO. Do you think that’s too late for a female? I want a family and have been so torn since I want to follow my passions while also being realistic. Thank you in advance 😊
