Policing was good back in my Millennial generation eras back in the middle 2000s when bodycams didn't become a thing because I don't like when cops are coddling criminals. Thank you for pointing out this situation, i talk to some Chicago PD and they told me that they was pulled over by cops too. Most cops i had conversation with told me in modern today's society, their bodycams have to be turned on when they leave the police station and back.
I completely understand. Yes, while body cams are great, depending on the supervision/leadership, they can hinder an officer's ability to learn from their mistakes and not be watched constantly. I've heard differing accounts from several agencies on them and their policies. Thank you commenting on this. It's an important factor for officers to consider 💙
The first time I was pulled over was actually weird. The officer said that my front side windows were tinted, but my state inspection tag would not have been approved AT ALL if it was tinted enough to the point of being illegal. But the problem is he did find that the state inspection sticker was expired & I had to get a new one. So the reason why he pulled me over wasn't legit, but he did find something that was. He let me off of a warning (and he was polite), but I can't shake this feeling that I got from it that police can more or less pull people over for whatever excuse. That's not strictly a bad thing, they need proof of something to ask for anything other than license and registration. There is nothing to fix about that but it's bothering me that please can pull someone over for whatever they'd like.
