I live in east Tennessee and love to fish. This channel is dedicated to people who love to fish, learn, and be inspired by all things fishing. I also try my best to leave each location better than I found it. I can't wait to share my fishing experiences and adventures with you.

Riddle creek is one of my favorite fishing areas. Caught several 5+ lb smallmouth back there, a few close to where you are fishing.
I am not a fishing person. What *is* wrong with gar?
Love it! Thank you for highlighting our products and supporting the Lodge.
You’re welcome, thank you for making awesome products to help me catch fish.
Let’s go gambling Jackpot 100 gar
😂
💀
It was bad
Those who don’t understand gars are poisonous gar eggs normally found in females have a toxin called ichthyotoxin which make them extremely toxic to small mammals some fishes and humans.
Yes, very true.
So crazy 🙀🤯😱
😂 it was crazy
I bet you spent an hour detangling those teeth.
Yeah, took a very long time
“100 gar would suck…” The net: *you’re not gonna believe it*
😂 yep
The moment I saw the short, I instantly knew that that just sucks
Yes, it was a bad situation.
100 gar.
It can always be worse 😂
@MichaelKaal-TriFisher I feel bad lmao, everyone keeps bringing it up
Woo hoo..lol
😂
This is one of my top trails. especially now after all the storm damage, SoHo was less impacted than further south. I like the long , gradual up/down hill. it seems good for the legs... I've caught bass along there, but from a boat... I also like Osceola Island. It is a good 1.5 mile power walk for flat out walking. The island has a lot of wildilfe fish in the river. birds, great herons, even beavers and otters.
Yes, they’ve done a great job of clearing the path after the storm. That incline is great for your legs and overall fitness. Currently Osceola island is inaccessible till they repair the bridge. A tree landed on it. Hopefully once they repaired it, I can do a video out there as well.
South Holston is so beautiful. Happy Thanksgiving
Agreed, happy Thanksgiving.
nice video on the area. I hike that trail often.
Excellent, it’s a great hike.
Why would catching gar be bad ?
Here’s the problem. My net was designed for catching baitfish which is perfectly legal. I accidentally caught a bunch of longnose gar instead. They have incredibly sharp teeth and destroyed my net. That’s why I was sad. 😂. I end up releasing them because it was the right thing to do.
@ thank you for the explanation 🙏🏻 Happy thanksgiving 🦃
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to you as well
Been fishing only once never cared for it but u seem to have turned the flame on I might start fishing now !! Sub earned
I’m glad to hear it. Thanks

“100 gar would be bad too” 100 gar: it might seem crazy what I’m boutta say
😂
Might be a stupid question, but why are gar bad?
They have these tiny teeth that get stuck in the net making holes and being a pain to remove while also cutting up your hand or whatever gloves you deside you don't need anymore

"100 gar would be bad too" Proceeds to net 300 gar

I’m guessing this is one of those “you can’t throw it back” fish.

@ ah yeah I got what you meant immediately. Literally RIP net
Imagine how many if you threw a pancake
The beauty of a tapered net is that it will open as it drops. By the time I got to the bottom, it was fully open.
What is gar and why are they bad to catch?

Rip your net. 😂

Well I'm not sure where this is and I don't know everything but seems like the ecosystem is about to die from that many again I can be wrong I don't know everything
Amazingly, the ecosystem is good
I love how like every comment is from four months ago and am I the only one who came here from the short?
Welcome. I’m glad you found the longform video
Are you seriou I'd be super happy with that. Do you know how delicious Cajun Gar Balls are? And they freeze really well too. If it was me, I'd just call it a day and go home to start cleaning that catch. Gar Balls for everyone!

Yep
Was going sanping turtle
That’s my guess as well
Outta curiosity, why is gar bad? Isn’t fish fish? Is the texture shit or something?
