I can relate to the wife bringing good luck, my gf always suggests different lure changes that end up working that I never even think of lol. Nice catches! Almost had a striper near the end! Sorry you lost that big carp, I know the feeling!
Nice video bro! I guess it's time for me to do some night wading 😁 I caught my 36lb striper about 1 or 2 miles up river from where you're at, thankfully I've got a go pro now so just in case it happens again lol I would've had a video or at least a picture if it hadn't been absolutely pouring the rain on me at 2am. I didn't have my phone or anything on me that night, all I had was a small backpack with big lures and a set of scales. I honestly didn't want to risk killing it for a picture wading about 60 yards back to where I parked so I just threw it on the scale and put it back in the river as fast as I could. I'm still a beginner on striper, just started fishing for them about 6 years ago.
@MichaelKaal-TriFisher thanks bro, probably won't happen again for another 6 years lol but I just love being out there. What aspect rario do you upload your videos at? Do you use 1080, or 4k also? Sometimes when I upload a video it's glitchy for some reason when I watch it, like it's clear on my phone and go pro app but on UA-cam it's a little distorted 🤷♂️
Wife texts and you get a bite!? Yep, she’s a keeper! 😂Oh yeah, you gotta tell that farmer to install a gate on that section of fence so you can get your fish out of there! 😂😂😂😂
Hey Michael, I’m a local fisherman here too and I watch your videos and you have so much success but I just can’t get the hang of catching anything but trout, any tips or tricks that you would be willing to give me, I’ve tried to replicate some of the stuff your doing but no luck for me, I love watching your videos, thanks for any advice
I personally don’t know anybody outside of guides. One of my next videos will be how to use Planer Boards with lots of details. Perhaps I can help you for future trips.

Yeah, my wife is very lucky. Sometimes the big ones get away. I get my revenge in the upcoming video.
My Wife is a meat fishergal, breaks her heart watching the releases. Working those fish is a fun time, enjoy.
I understand, if I catch crappie or walleye it will be released into the grease.
I think that would stress me out to keep up with 3 lines 😂. I’m always impressed when I see you do it. Great job 👏
Thanks, sometimes it’s very stressful
Another awesome video
Thanks

I noticed the left board always seemed to get more bites. Any reason for that?? Deeper water on left side? Just curious. Good video.
Sometimes that’s just the way it goes. I’m not sure why that was the hot rod.

Yeah, I get a bite almost every time she calls. She’s good luck.
Ive never seen or heard of those boards. How are they used and are they same as floaters
Planer Boards are designed to space out the bait shop . All that is required is forward momentum and they automatically push outside.

I understand, Are you fishing on Boone Lake?
@@MichaelKaal-TriFisher yeah. I tried trolling with shiners by the dam there
@@collinshell7792 Yeah, that bite is best in April and early may. You have a better chance now at Bluff city or the Watauga River Flats area.
@@MichaelKaal-TriFisher alright I’ll give those parts a try, thank you for your help
@@MichaelKaal-TriFisher do you think the plainer boards are a must have? Or would I be okay trolling a line off each side without them?
Do you know anyone I can reach out to in regards to how to fish for those stripes. I have no clue in regards to planter boards
