Whenever most couples have a conversation about having an open relationship, likely initiated by the man, he's fine with it until his wife asks if she can also sleep with men. Socially he would, in the eyes of his peers, look pathetic if someone else is sleeping with his wife but the same isn't true if reversed. Look at the Jada and Will Smith scenario. Which one of them gets clowned on for their open relationship? He does because socially he's then perceived as being weak in not being able to satisfy his wife. All of that to say, it's an uncomfortable discussion for anyone in a relationship to hear their partner has urges to sleep with others because it implies you are not enough to satisfy your partner.

As a woman I say that women are hypergamous when it comes to financials and status. Men are hypergamous when it comes to looks.
