I personally found it to be better, at least from the seller I have linked, interlacing was minimal, colors and brightness were mint. As long as yours comes healthy and isnt defective out of the box like 90% of PSP 2000 aftermarket displays

Might is slightly bloated, not sure if its because of my testing / abuse i have been putting it through, but if your is too, it could be anything, from the cell or the BMS they picked, I will have a follow up video that covers the BMS options & custom battery upgrades

Yea, you will just need to either remove the wifi antenna or find a place for it

Glass is nicer, no warpage when viewed at an angle, easy to clean, doesn't scratch as easily, of course if you are happy with your current faceplate or got a new aftermarket, nothing wrong with keeping it as is

@TotalKommando but what if I just deleted the lens entirely? If I install an IPS screen and a faceplate with no lens, what happens? I suppose I don't see the point of putting an additional piece of glass in front of the screen, and especially don't see the point of putting an additional piece of plastic in front of the screen.

@jeremymote238 then u gotta secure the screen if going ips, and its exposed to all th elements, its doable, just not durable

Doing it with a solder blog is extremely challenging since they are pretty far apart, could work if you used cheap solder but thats just asking for problems. You get a small thin wire, solder one end to the top of your wire I usually do the bottom one first. Then while holding the wire out, you solder the second point also to the wire but doesn't matter where, you just pull the wire upwards flat, where it lines up with the other connect, solder it, and once its all done, you can bend the wire back and forth till it comes off. You may or may not need a tiny bit of extra solder to make it easier, if you have flux it will be extremely helpful

@TotalKommando i honest could not do it with a wire. Solder blob worked perfectly. Maybe the motherboard type i had was more appropriate for it. Now just waiting for a battery in the mail. Thanks

Nice! Might also be the solder, something about the lead content, my solder had flux core so it wants to stick to the contacts only and not clot up into a stretchable blob

@TotalKommando I just used the solder that came with my Temu kit lol. So you might be right. I also used a lower temperature so it didn't just ball up but sort of took the shape I directed it towards. Also i wanted to let you know the display I got is also the Matte one, but I saw that the matte finish was some kind of a sticker applied on top. Idk if it is removable or not but maybe might be worth looking into.

@@FrankDeMamp I wanted to remove it, but didn't take the chance of damaging it, its most likely polarized, so if removed, it could very well go white, could possibly visit it in the future with a project in mind

could be the adapter, or the memory card slot being dirty try reinserting a couple times, maybe hit it with iso or contact cleaner while doing so.

@@TotalKommando i have cleaned it and my orignal oem psp memory card is working fine in the psp just the adapter and sd card isnt. however the sd card and adapter work fine on my pc hub. also have an orange flashing light on next to were i insert the memory card only when the sd and adapter is in the slot.

@@searrell Happens, pc could work with the combo but not the psp, sometimes i gotta remove and reseat the sd inside the adapter properly and then push the adapter in well into the psp making sure i use the notch to do that and i give it extra nudge once i hit the bottom

@TotalKommando this unfortunately didn't work, imma just get a different adapter. Maybe there's something of with it. Thanks for the advice

O you bet, I 100% plan to do a dedicated video about it, interesting fact I noticed when I was tuning it for maximum quality, everything was fine on my slim models, but when it came to my 1000 model it actually is negatively affected, at least with my settings, feel free to hop on discord and we can explore this further when the time comes

@@TotalKommando sweet will do, I'll sign up for a Discord account tomorrow as I haven´t got one. I too have had some other issues with my 1000 model blunty refusing to playback certain files. I've spent FAR too much time on this already :D and it would be nice to share my results with someone as I absolutely love watching movies on my PSP, its just so lightweight and the hold button is a godsend.

Yep still got it, daily driven, my V20 sadly the batteries are trash now, i even had the battery charging station, and the OS is super slow, its a canadian model so not much official/third party software support They sold their mobile division, idk man holding out hope is hard for this one

I have a video linked, by louis Rosman, there are micro bumps in the chip, the heat makes them better slightly, i was going to use iso, but i thought its a waste, and i was dealing with coke syrup gpu, so water it is for me then i super blow dried and heated it again for good measures, gpu still works today lol
