@VictoriaBrz suggests shipping delays may happen if the seller doesn't actually have the item. So once again look for listings with a custom number/code visible in the photo and title for a reliable purchase, since it proves ownership. or look for other sellers.
Battery Performance:
In my experience, Vitas have insane battery performance. One stayed in sleep mode for over a year and resumed me back into whatever game I had on at the time when I turned it back on. Another one I got a few months back still holds a charge like a champ, even though it was drained when I got it. It fired up with juice to spare for this video. Just remember, it's all about luck and how the last owner treated the console.

Be careful with ebay seller feedback. Scammers buy accounts with good feedback and then, well, scam you
It is literally impossible to be scammed As a buyer on eBay. eBay will give you your money back NO MATTER WHAT. Unless an item was described as broken and you’re trying to return cause it’s broken. Literally any other reason you get your money back. eBay screws sellers over and kisses buyers asses. Your comment should have read “be careful selling on eBay, because you WILL get scammed”
Ive been seeing that
The delay in shipping from ebay sellers from Japan (if that is your case), is because they sell first then go after the product to buy and they can't find it always on the condition and price point to make a profit.
Had that happening to me buying a psp, the seller asked to cancel because he could not find a psp monster hunter edition at the price point he sold me and with the condition he said it would be (New).
Damn that's just whack and should be illegal
Damn that makes so much sense! No wonder most of my Japanese purchases take years to ship out!
You know what this means? Order only the coded numbered ones that have a photo of the real console with a number/code that is in the title, and if thats not an option buy from other sellers.
@@TotalKommando Yep, learned that, the next seller I chose had real photos and 100% positive feedback, bought on April 23 and shipped 26 of April, so here is hopping everything arrives ok (I am not from the US so not everyone ships to my country either)

4:23 I have a regular SD card from Netac in my DSi and yeah it’s normal. The reviews on them are good too, almost no faulty ones
Yeah netac is a good brand I have an SSD of this brand and it works fine
I bought mine a bit expensive but how the japanese seller do with his listing is amazing. He individually code each item he sells, grade it and explain in detail what you get. I got mine in mint condition complete in box. As if it is brand new and no scratches. Very happy with my Vita 1000.

Honestly I think Aliexpress is such a good option for shopping these days. I've never had a bad experience with them nor Shopee, idk about Temu tho.
It's hilarious how good those aliexpress Vita looks like. I bought an used one from a game store that "refurbished" it in my country and it was a complete disaster, the oled screen showing almost green instead of black, and nasty marks all across the border of the console. And costed almost the same as the ones in the video lmao

I usually type "mint condition (insert console)" and i find said console like new. Although one time the seller posted they had a like new console with bxo everything but their photos were somewhat blurry when the item arrived it was the most used system ive ever seen in my life.

Is there a difference for modding the PSP and PSP Vita? I want to catch up on all the games but I'm not sure which version I want to get because I've never done anything like that before.
Big difference in difficulty but also big difference in what you can do.
PSP is super easy to mod and super easy to add games.
Vita requires you to study in a way as its a bit more involved
PSP can do PSP/PS1/PSP Minis/Homebrew/Light Weight 8bit Emulators
Vita can do Vita/PSP/PS1/Android Ports/GamePorts/More Emulators/More Homebrew/Graphics Mods/The list is massive
PSP has the bigger and better native vita library, some prefer to play it on the PSP some prefer on the Vita, its in either one

what's your opinion on buying brand new vitas from ebay? i was personally willing to pay extra to get a brand new vita from a japanese seller on ebay, and i received exactly just that two days ago, but i was wondering if you believe the price to be really worth it. i can be a perfectionist sometimes so i honestly did not want to have an "imperfect" used vita
Well, it really depends on how much you paid and for which color model.

I got the 1000 model in box for a hundred dollars, unfortunately it came with a defective L button.
Look into buy replacement parts before they are completely gone, 1000 parts are expensive and are running out of stock lol
why would you buy a vita from china ? they are the same price or sometimes even les in your own country
how was the battery life for the consoles?
Last time I bought used, the battery died so fast it was not even funny
So far in my experience, Vitas have one of the best batter performances I have ever seen.
- One time I left mine in sleep mode for over a year, when I came to turn it on, it resumed me back into the game
- The super battered one I purchased several months ago, has been holding charge just fine after sitting around drained before I bought it, when I pulled it out for this video, it turned on just fine with battery life to spare.
- Overall its all about luck and how the previous owner used the console, so milage will vary across the board.
Was your experience with Vita's or other handhelds?
@@TotalKommando With both Vita and PSP tbh but its with my used OLED Vita that the issue felt especially egregious (think something like battery dropping 30 percent in around 40 min- 1 hour of gameplay level of bad)
Then again I might have overestimated the expected battery life for it, not sure
@@Fabrysiheder Yeah PSPs batteries are known to have wide variance & inconsistencies in performance. There are only a few good brand new ones that I will cover in my big psp battery testing video. Always recommended to buy a quality Ostent branded ones 1400mah/2400mah.
As for your vita if its dropping that much that quickly yea thats a no go. The ones in the video would have ran out of battery as I was recording for hours.
Vita should give at least 4 hours.

If this is your first time using a moded console, i would say psp, if you are open to the idea of going into a plethora of options that will require you to study and spend some time setting things up then the Vita will give you more value for your money
PSP is more portable, easier to pocket and take with you, PS Vita is a bit more bulky, feel free to join the discord if you wanna discuss it : )

Look at what happened to Hell Divers 2 just recently.
Ughhhhh only a couple minutes in and I'm in painnnn, I had just bought a Japanese red ps vita 1000 model for only $120 and was completely shocked it was in box, with manuals sealed, and in PERFECT CONDITION. It hurt my soul to see that packaging, but the console itself is a warcrime. so sad to see its one of the most beautiful handhelds out there tbh

I haven't had one in years but if you can mod it up, then absolutely.
Only if you absolutely really want a Vita for the sake of the form factor / design / collection / thrill of homebrew. Just make sure you don't over pay for one, because then it wouldn't make sense now that there are a ton of good emulation handhelds out there that you could get for a similar price.
Retroid Pocket 4 Pro can give you more for 199 plus delivery. It can run all classic platform plus PSP, PS2 and Vita games . It is running on Android so it is really flexible .
Only get one if you're modding it and are a fan of more obscure/older games and Sony oriented properties (Jak & Daxter, Metal Gear Solid, Jet Set Radio, etc.). That way, you have the entire PSP library also. On top of the boatload of obscure games, high profile console game ports and emulators you have ports of stuff like:
Cuphead
Sonic Mania
Half-Life
The World Ends With You
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City and San Andreas
BLOOD
DOOMs (1, 2, Final, 64, etc.)

This is all just FAN-MADE ports. There are tons of ports of big games made by the publishers, not to mention smaller exclusive Vita indie games.
if you like vita and psp games, i know there’s more you can do like gba and some n64 but at that point just get one of the new cheap emulation handhelds, personally yeah id do it, since i got mine it’s basically replaced my playstation

I bought a damaged PSVita at a ridiculous price, I wanted to restore it but seeing the game ports they make and looking at my Android phone I stopped loving the Vita, I like the 3DS better and to be honest, I don't want to have my PSVita 😢
