Does the problem with the cold plate also count for the ones manufactured for the EU? Cause I heard there are differences between the ones produced in America and EU.
@@TotalKommando in case der8auer doesn’t do it it would be amazing if you could do a comparison to the new thermal grizzly direct die CPU block. Would love to see that.
Is the Iceman cooler delid cooler für Intel 13900k installed directly on the processor die? If so, how tightly should the screws be tightened so as not to damage the processor chip?
It sits flush, you will know when to stop, just give equal turns if you dont have a torque driver. and stop at the same level feel / resistance of what installing a heatsink or AIO. Basically cant turn no more
anything to note after running the iceman cooler for several months? I'm curious of the longevity. i have used iceman before but a reservoir is easier to make than a water block
Mine was still running in thr ITX build was using it daily as work pc up until a week ago, been running great however I wont be able to take it apart anytime soon to see how it performed but will def have a video on it once i do.
velocity 2 problems are that it trap heat on both side of the board, the exact fit mount at back fit enclose the rear part of the cpu, i have bore hole in this plate and i am trying to see the difference of temperature

Yea so it took me a while before i found out what people use. It was Flitz Polish Paste, a little dab and polish/rub it to remove a light layer to make it clean and shiny. Microfiber and Tissue works ( i dont recommend payper towel )

Gigabyte Z790i Ultra, be careful as big AIOs like the Arctic Freezer 2, will not sit as components are too close to the socket. Originally I was going to use my 280mm AF2.

IceMan honestly is self explanatory and way simpler and easier to install vs the EKWB. Take out the OG bracket, add LM, and lock it back using the OG Brackey Backplate, arrows on the in/out indicate how it should go.

I bought EKWB DD upgrade tool, installed it on 14900K but all I got was 00 at Post Code indicator. That means "NO CPU". Changing the positions of srews didn't help. Because there are 8 - 4 from LGA plate and 4 from waterblock frame. I was impossible for me to find the right combination of tightenning these srews to make motherboard to see the CPU. I ended up with putting CPU cap with LM back and install the usual WB without DD. Waste of 92€ (now 99) Don't recommend
