@@ostekuste3646 24 hours is a long freaking time for racing 😩😭

it used to be popular, guess not so much anymore. There was 24hrs of Canaan which then became 24hrs of Snowshoe, and also 24hrs of Moab. Lots of shorter venue 12hr events. The 24hr could be raced solo or as a relay team. Solo you rode and they counted laps. You rested when you had to. Teams were usually 2 or 4 riders who passed off to the next rider when they came across the line. Had to have a rider always on course. 12 hrs I always did solo. One of the wildest experiences was the night laps, that’s when the partying, the naked riders, and all the freaks came out to cheer you on😂 Nothing like doing your last night lap at someplace like Snowshoe and seeing the sun come up while on the bike.

@terencehealy9225 hi there! Great to hear you're getting a bike to have some fun with, the Rockhopper is a great bike to fulfill that need. My main question is, are you looking for a mountain bike? Or something to ride on less intense terrain. I ask this because you could definitely save some money by buying a bike that isn't suited for mountain biking, if that's not your goal! If it is your goal to be on the forest trails, then honestly, I can't think of a better entry-level bike.

Also love a good trail that has 5 different ways through a section on just about every section. I need to make it out here sometime too. Looks mad good for a trail ride

@blaine142 😂 caught me so off guard but always fun to know the people that watch are also the people that ride🤘🏽. Dude these trails have so much freeride potential, i know you saw all those potential side hits i passed 👀 family time limit that day though😂

@@splooshmtb absolutely awesome to see/ be noticed lol. Yes, I may or may not have replayed several parts and said “oh I think I see, yep I see this line here…….I would have done this line here” easy to say while I’m sitting behind the screen zero repercussions haha.

@ Big Bear is really well marked, and they look to be only about 20 minutes apart. Definitely seems worth it to check out both.

​@@splooshmtb Sounds about right.🤣 Every time MICL does stuff there, everyone gets stuck at the top with flats since we all have to stay with the coaches. It's basically become a tradition at this point. I guess with that amount of people and all the rocks its bound to happen. still tons of fun though!

Also! as far as trail recommendations: Jakes Rocks up in PA is 100% the coolest and most fun trails i've ever ridden, even with living in Utah. it's a hell of a drive but it pays off.

Just got to the end of the video, you should check out some of the liberty reservoir fire trails, near the mckeldin area of patapsco. There's some good single track back there
