    Good way to make the most of early season. Still too muddy and wet up here in the Northeast for MTB too. I've managed to sneak in a few rides on warmer days on my gravel bike too.

      Love to hear it! It's a shame every weekend is a downpour recently😂.

    As a fellow MTB turned part time gravel rider, I have to highly suggest checking out Monstercross VA at Pocahontas State Park in VA, next Feb. I did it as my first biking event/race and it's such a fun time and a great place for riding, MTB skills helped out in a few spots, including some singletrack.

      That's awesome dude! I think VA in general has to be greatly explored for its gravel riding but I definitely need to make it out to pocahontas on the MTB too.

    Nice ride, i also went and ride my very entry level flatbar gravel this past sunday. It was a ok ride from BWI to Annapolis trail and a little roadie on the way back. I'd say i am not ready for this type of ride yet :) . But since mtb trails are not in a great condition, anything that i can pedal outdoor is better than nothing.

    How are you feeling about the Lynskey GR300? I saw your other video about it too... just wondering after another month has passed. I just got the GR300 externally routed frameset with the Lynskey carbon fork delivered today and it's half-built in my garage. I am hoping to finish by the weekend once a couple parts are delivered in the next day or two. I am a former BMX rider now riding MTB, Road and more recently Gravel. I have a dedicated road bike and mountain bike but didn't have a specific gravel bike. I am hoping it is potentially fast enough to race (not expecting to win, not expecting to be in last either) but also comfortable enough to bikepack too (the frame and fork have all of the mounts.) I am mostly sourcing parts from another bike for this build so I am setting it up with Shimano 105 mechanical but with Absolute Black oval chain rings (46/30) and an 11-34 in the back, so, it should give some extra climbing gear range.

    • @splooshmtb
      @splooshmtb  11 місяців тому

      That's awesome dude! I don't race and wouldn't consider myself fast but this bike makes me feel fast, so do with that what you will, that being said this feels like the perfect bikepacking/touring bike. Sounds like you've got some great parts to go on. I'm going on about 6 months of ownership now and this thing has just been a dream, I still very much love it! Should be tackling even more gravel this weekend with this horrible weather.

      Haha thanks Reggie! Idk how the weather is down there for you, but here, winter riding is really tough so gravel is a great option!

      @@splooshmtb it sucks in the Mid-South. My crew is scheduled to hit the Windrock Bike Park this weekend, but it looks like it's going to rain 🌧. Maybe we will get lucky, and the rain will go around the bike park. I shot so much footage last year that I'm just now getting around to my September footage.

    Nice one Zane. You def make graveling look like fun. Solid ride boys, you had that tuck working well on the downhill. OMG the bloopers at the end, hilarious. So how are you making out with the clipless pedals? Also, how have you not cut down that steerer tube yet, lol.

    • @splooshmtb
      @splooshmtb  11 місяців тому +1

      LOL apparently this steerer tube is just meant to be😂. Thanks Sage, The clipless is going better than expected, I'm able to get in an out quickly like 90% of the time... the other 10% is awkward😂. Now... the true test will be when I try them on my MTB.
