    How'd I miss this!? Pivot makes an awesome bike. Expensive but man, so nice! Absolutely love my Firebird and use it as a trail bike. Need some fitness to push it around the mountain but at the same time, the suspension is so efficient, you almost don't notice the weight!

      You're selling me more and more on a firebird haha I'll get one in and give it a go😂

    I heard great things about the Switchblade. Glad you got to test it out on the trails. My Ibis Mojo 3 had the DW Link and I'm also a big fan of how it climbs. I may have to put this on my list. Thanks for the great review Zane.

      Thanks Sage! The climbing was super impressive, it's certainly on my list.

    Awesome video! Looks like a sick bike. Patapsco is such a great place for test riding stuff because they got a little bit of everything!

      Thanks dude! And yeah 100% if you know where to look you can ride so much variety. I'd like to take this thing to the pickall area and ride the rocks but I only had 3 hours😂

    That was definitely one of my top choices a few years back. Never got to demo it extensively. Just rode it around the street. Beautiful bike, but the cost it brutal. I ended up with a 2022 Ibis Ripmo and no regrets. You should definitely add Ibis to your consideration if you are still looking. And it's cheaper. Pivots are great bikes, but overpriced in my opinion.

      They're definitely a pretty penny, you aren't wrong! I'm officially not looking anymore, if you're interested, check out the video before last, you won't be disappointed!

      @@splooshmtb Not bad. Congrats! Stumpy was definitely one of my top 3 between that the switchblade and the Ripmo.

    I have a firebird and a switchblade.. rarely find myself riding the switchblade anymore.. give a firebird a try before you decide.. Jumping is where the firebird excels over the switchblade

      Really good insights, and yes, I 100% intent to try the firebird first. Thanks dude!

    Great video man! I'm still loving my V2 Hightower, but I need to get some experience riding other bikes so I can see what the difference is between brands.

    • @splooshmtb
      @splooshmtb  4 місяці тому +1

      Thanks Reggie, I agree it's a great do it all bike but I think my riding has gotten to a point where a bigger bike is warranted. The Hightower often feels a little under-biked on some of our north east tech and 30 ft jumps lol

    • @ridingwithreggie
      @ridingwithreggie 4 місяці тому +1

      @splooshmtb I kinda want a Megatower, but I don't think I've completely mastered my Hightower just yet, maybe next year?

    • @splooshmtb
      @splooshmtb  4 місяці тому +1

      @ridingwithreggie mega is A LOT of bike. Unless you're hitting insanely fast tech and bike parks every week, I think the mega might be a little over kill 😂

      @ridingwithreggie 4 місяці тому +1

      @@splooshmtb I plan on spending more time at Windrock and similar places like Jarrod's Place. I think they rent Megatowers there. Pollen season is almost over, I've been indoors since March sneezing my butt off.

    Do you know if the 2022 pivot (green - older model) switchblade comes out of the box with tubeless tires ready to ride?

    • @splooshmtb
      @splooshmtb  17 днів тому

      That's a good question! Since I didn't get this one straight out of the box I honestly don't know how they come. I'd love to assume they come set up tubeless.

    Hi, How well does this bike pumping accelerate out on the trails? Because I'm ready going to build this bike

    • @splooshmtb
      @splooshmtb  2 місяці тому

      This bike felt very quick and light so pumping would definitely get this bike going fast.

    • @TheJofrica
      @TheJofrica 2 місяці тому +1

      The DW link is essentially made for that, it’s super fast accelerating. But mind you you do need to run the rear suspension a bit firmer to fully engage the DW link’s benefits

  • @phantasma2323
    @phantasma2323 4 дні тому

    You keep talking about chunk and letting her eat. Your trails are smooth bro be honest.

    • @splooshmtb
      @splooshmtb  4 дні тому

      @phantasma2323 these trails aren't the chunkiest, but it's where the demo was happening, so you make do with what chunk you can find.
