I really liked ftwd the only issue I had was the lack of good villains some of them were good but there was a lot of bad ones

Such an annoying character I loved him in season 1, 5 & he was okay in 6, but hate him going between the 2 extremes always lecturing people no character development he just switches back and foward

This season makes Daryl look so bad because wouldn’t he have thought about his family or something since he didn’t even know their fate.

They just wanted to end everyone’s theory’s about him still being alive so they brought him back just to kill him off

I got a lot a beef w the later seasons but tbh I didn’t mind this come back at all. J wished the saviors weren’t a giant nameless faceless group woulda meant more having him be with them and his quick exit.

How it should’ve gone, Madison and Travis die in LA season one. No side story with the half brother to Alicia and Nick lmao. Story progresses as normal Nick doesn’t die, no nuclear nonsense, submarine should just end up failing, the doomsday cult dies, group progresses till they meet up with Troy. Troy and everyone make their way to Alexandria. Story over all these characters end up on the main show. Or they keep fear as a spin off in Georgia.

The fact that this dumb decision was just a couple episodes before carls death (dumbest decision) is baffling. They needed a reason for rick to spare negan and his people and try to assimilate then into a larger community this was the PERFECT storyline. If morales HAD TO die heres how it should have played out. Rick and Daryl are sieging the savior outpost, they either by accident or intentionally kill Morales family in the process, Morales appears and explains that the saviors saved him and his family, and ricks group is the villains who invaded their home and slaughtered his family, Morales either commits suicide or daryl kills him on the spot. Rick has a change of heart now that he realizes he is a mad man slaughtering peoples families just like the wolves. It doesnt take carls death to generically force rick into a change of heart, he can come to that conclusion by realizing he split from Morales went on dramatically different paths and journeys just to come around and be the negan of Morales story. Is it flawless no, could it have achieved what they thought carls death achieved yea probably.

I'm not a writer or director but what were they thinking the original characters made the show the actors themselves were The Perfect cast instead of the group taking in strangers and haveing them killed off they kill off the original members that made the show imagine if Star Trek the original where someone died in every episode if they killed Scotty then Uhura then Dr McCoy then Mr Spock and Captain Kirk

the thing about the walking dead. the first couple of seasons were so real and the actors nailed their characters .when i said real, if something like that really happened your going have all types of people comeing together. just trying to survive and this group showed it. rick being a cop had the sense of justice and fair play .shane was the one who would do anything to protect the group ,untill his love for lori destroyed his self. i know its writen in the script but lori gave him the big f off when rick came back which would destroy a man inside when he,s in love. glean the nice guy .carol the abused wife ,who would of thought she would become such a bad azz ,the 2 collage girls, daryl , merle the 2 red neck brothers. even with daral being so hard you could tell deep down there was a good guy inside. the whole show was about fighting the dead ,that is what real people and real life would be .then they ruined the show by going what i call dei woke .every 3rd character HAD to be gay .EVERY relationship HAD to be black and white. the females had to have a dominant character killing more dead then the guys. negan was the perfect bad guy the most evil laughing while killing everyone. then it like o negan is now a good guy and everyone overlooks what he did ? no wonder the rateing went from high to so low

I really wish Morales would have come back as the same heroic character he was. It was so disappointing that he was with the saviors and Daryl had to kill him. I feel like it could have been a great story arc if Morales had been in a group that fought Negan.

I think that was more of a testament to Daryl’s character. The fact that he was able to kill someone he once knew so easily tells you where Daryl was at that point in the series.

If he ended up being like a right hand man to negan i wouldn't have minded it, but having him in a scene or two, to be killed off, was a waste of time lol

I actually liked the cameo. It tied up a lose end, quickly gave us the story of what happened to him and his family, gave us his Savior story and showed us who he became. No complaints and it's probably my favorite cameo of all.

Fear Definitely got weird after Season 3.

I’m sorry. With less people around you’ll see less people. What less people around doesn’t mean is that the few people you know you’ll see more often. It’s not how it works. Also, Alabama is in nearly the opposite direction as the DC area from Atlanta. TWD and all of its spinoffs suffer from the “small world” problem…I did like Daryl capping him though.

I agree to disagree. I'll still like the video don't worry. Killing Carl and writing off Rick and Morgan were all way worse. I actually like how they handled Morales being a savior and put in a situation where he had to die. It showed what Glenn's death did to Daryl and how after Beth, he feels yet another "family" member died because of him. Morales could have been in that family but chose a different path. Daryl new that. Rick wasn't sure. I think you missed some nuanced plot threads. I'd keep going but who cares 😂

Negan and seasons 7 and 8 really killed the show. Just look at the viewership at the end of season 6 compared to the end of season 7. Killing Carl didn't help, but Negan was just to outlandish and powerful. I mean Rick cried in almost every episode in season 7....great acting but that's a big turn off for the dedicated fans that viewed Rick as a powerful leader.

I get the idea of showing this guy who was an easy going guy, a family guy, a guy Rick knew, and having him show up as a Savior. It'd be like Luke finding out some guy from his school was one of the Storm troopers holding Leia. But yeah, wasted potential. Imagine Negan realizing Morales has a connection to Rick, and making him his #3 in the saviors. Or maybe seeing Rick makes him not as viscous as the rest of Negan's band, and he becomes a double agent. But no, five minutes and done.

Part of me wonders if it was another one of those Hollywood woman power things too that influenced this decision. That replacing a white male with a female was part of the point. And the RJ thing, I think they wanted to build the future show around either Judith or RJ instead of white male Carl Grimes. Cause like you said, Carl was the future and I don’t think the identity of that character lined up with what they’ve been doing. Hey I wish things weren’t like that but everyone knows the show runners (and Hollywood at large) do think like this.

This and Nicks death felt rushed and lazy

I feel like he had wasted potential but I was never invested in the character and I even forgot who he was knowing I recognized him from somewhere. Carls death is still #1 worst decision for me with the entirety of season 11 being a close second

I just rewatched season 8 a couple months ago. I got the distinct impression that Morales was about to k!ll Rick. So my take is that Daryl was listening off-screen and made up his mind to just merk him and not take any chances. And let's get serious: no great loss. Lol. I was not "hyped" that Morales was coming back when I heard about it during the show's run. I barely remembered him. And then he comes back and he's the enemy? Buh-bye.

I felt the same way with Telltale's TWD Season 4 video game. Almost the exact same scenario they pulled with Eddie that the TV show did with Morales here.
