I love all 3 seasons! I've gone further down the rabbit hole with this show than prob any other. I really believe the season 2 being "slow" complaints came because most people including myself binged watch season 1 then had to watch season 2 week by week so it felt slower. This show has become a complete obsession for me. If you ever rewatch you'll notice sooo many things mentioned (exspecially in s1) that set up things for down the road.
People’s issue was “it didn’t answer anything” but it was setting more things up! The worms, killing monsters, the ruins, adding more people to cause panic. It’s the build still but people wanted more answers because they are impatient
The season 3 finale is crazy!! From is now mgm plus’s most watched show in history for mgm plus. So the audience is growing fast! Can’t wait for season 4!
Glad you are liking the series this much. The binge model of streaming services have ruined alot of the population's ability to wait on series to unfold organically. Half way through season 3 and people were just constantly complaining. The reddit was just full of negativity, it was really annoying. 3 seasons of From is 1 season of Lost and few episodes. How would they manage to get through 6 seasons? It's not a perfect show but it doesn't the deserve the level of complaints it gets.
I hope more people start to watch this show too. I absolutely love it. It was certainly needed in a time of fast fading other shows that just aren't very good. It is great to actually have good writing, great stories and well thought out plots. This show should be at the top of all the shows out there to watch atm. Phenomenal and engaging. Thanks Jerry. 👍 ❤
Yep once you start watching you can't stop! The finale for season 3 is amazing can't wait for you to finish. Happy more people are discovering this show.
You’re exactly right - it’s a rare gem of a show and just the type of show/story we NEEDED to see for a long time coming now - Holds true to the word “Bingeworthy”
I love your excitement for the show!! 🎉 Especially since so many folks have been turning on it😢 This show is all about the mystery and it kinda feels like the old 'Choose your own adventure ' books because as the viewer...you're actively speculating what this place is and why everything is happening and that's part of the experience. Sure there are some slow moments, but I'm ok with a slow burn. Once you find out the answers the thrill is gone.
Wow, you're flying through it, huh? I am glad you caught on to this show and enjoy it-I have become obsessed with it as well. Looks like you're about to join the rest of us for the really long wait for S4(going to be 2026)
I'm obsessed with this show about sums it up. 😂 Ask anyone I tt for more than 5 minutes. Lmao It's sooo good! I can't wait until your post season 3 video!
Season 1 was a great world building and character get to know slow burn. Season 2 was amazing when the bus showed up the party 🎉 rocked and it isn't until season 3 that we start to get enough clues to know what's going in with the monsters and from town.
My only complaint is how all the characters are having their own separate experiences but never seem to come together and share what they know or at least what they experienced.
Welcome Jerry 🥰 that's what I was talking about 🫶🏻❤️ Also we call that monster "Smiley" his actor is good 😊 This particular enthusiasm was around the first seasons of The Walking Dead, what a time ❤
Well, I'm confident you're going to like the ending of Season 3. To explain the warnings about the show, it's just as you said. We had to see the story unfold on a weekly basis. Not to mention the wait between the seasons. Welcome to the club, by the way. Any part of the frustration came from the fact that many of us fans were afraid that after every season finale, the show would be cancelled. We loved the show, but we also thought that some random MGM+ executive would think that the show was moving too slow or didn't have enough action. A lot of people have been burnt by good shows being cancelled after one or two seasons. I think the writers really fumbled Jim's character. They waited to late to delve into the Mathew family's backstory and things introduced in Season 3 should have been in Season 1. Jim arc feels disjointed and he's not given enough to do in the later season. He is pretty good in the last couple of episodes of Season 3. Sarah is best girl.
Some shows like TWD and From are kind of designed to be binged I think, a lot of the problems you may have watching week to week are kind of elevated when you watch the episodes once theyve all released at the same pace, if it feels too slow or that theyre taking to much time building up and getting to certain moments, watching episodes more rapidly means you get to those moments faster and it feels like more progress, whether youre watching two episodes in one sitting or several episodes a week. You cant avoid issues with the writing and story if you have problems with it, or in the case of some seasons of TWDU it's just objectively bad, but From doesn't have that issue I don't think, it's more just that... there are big mysteries and big questions that eventually need to be answered and explored, but it just builds more mystery and asks more questions without really giving answers, there will be new reveals and story developments but it doesn't give much clarity or payoff for the overall bigger picture, and a lot of the show is focused on character drama while the mystery just kind of builds in the background as the characters slowly start to figure out what's going on and the town finds new ways to screw with them
It is a mystery show. The guy who created From is John Griffin. He has nothing to do with Lost. Lost is a show that was making up the mysteries/answers as it went along. John Griffin came up with all of the mysteries/answers to From before he started making From.
@@infinityawesome8715 They're not stretching anything. It's going at the pace it needs to in order to tell the story in the best way. People nowadays want instant gratification. They have a tik tok/Netflix binge brain.
Ethan for being a young child is pretty good jade is the best loved the first episode him thinking it’s an escape town riding around town laughing like an idiot lol Jim was good season 1 season 2 he was annoying
The show seems to be losing a bit of the magic it had in the beginning, as the mystery is slowly but surely being unraveled. That first season felt truly special - so strange and shrouded in intrigue that it kept you engaged. You didn't notice the writing flaws so much. By Season 3, though, the cracks in the writing began to show more clearly, at least in my opinion. That said, even with its flaws, I still found myself enjoying it for the most part.
Just finished episode 6 which dragged a ton. A few others are like that too. I’m more or less surprised not more has been explored (so far) with Tabitha’s whole arc yet. But that may change.
If the general consensus is that season 2 is the weakest season, I guess I’m in the minority. Season 3, imo, is by far the weakest - and it’s not even close. Season 1 was near perfection. Season 2 had a bit of a pacing issue, but season 3’s pacing was horrible. The first 3 episodes were awesome, but it took a big nose dive after that. I don’t want to spoil anything, so I won’t be specific, but in the finale episode the writers decided to tell us incredibly important information by just having a character blurt it out. No set up, nothing leading to it. They didn’t even have the decency to show us what this character saw. Just they “know” and now we know. Terrible, abysmal, absolutely horrible writing on that. At any rate, the back half of season 3 is rife with lacking issues, unnecessary scenes and story threads that seem, at least, to not go anywhere of significance. Victor’s part in the season I think is the best example of this. Again, not going to spoil anything (not that there’s really much to spoil) but Victor’s part in this season doesn’t have him end up much different than where he started the season. Anyway, just my 2 cents. I found season 3 (the last half) to be a big disappointment compared to the previous 2 seasons.
@Mogorman87 Do tell: inconsiquential conversations rehashing things we already are aware of to extend runtime, dragging out events, like taking an entire episode to prepare to catch a monster only to not even make the attempt that episode. Oh look, Donna is hysterically yelling at Boyd about how the town is trying to destroy them.. for the 9th time. Finally they decided to actually do something as a town! They band together and ...oh wait they just pair up so they could walk around the woods and waste more time... Characters getting themselves in situations where they should die but do not, reducing the threat of the creatures. SEEM FAMILIAR?
FROM is undeniably entertaining, but it does lean heavily on convenience-driven writing. While it’s nowhere near as egregious as Fear the Walking Dead or Daryl Dixon Season 2, much of the plot progression hinges on characters conveniently stumbling upon objects that miraculously jog their memories or provide revelations to move the story forward. The overabundance of fake out dream sequences doesn’t help either - it’s a trope the writers return to a little too often. That said, despite these flaws, I genuinely enjoy the show like you do. Interestingly, I find myself in the minority when it comes to Jim - I actually like him. To me, his reactions feel grounded and relatable, the kind of responses you’d expect from a normal person in such a surreal situation. Perhaps I see a bit of myself in him, which might explain why I don’t find him as off putting as others seem to. The wait for new episodes until 2026 is going to be excruciating, especially given the way Season 3 concludes. Once you see the ending, you’ll understand why - it’s a brutal place to pause the story. But in a good way.
The actor playing Ethan is doing a great job in my opinion, the only person who's acting is beyond saveable is Tabatha .... If you give her a monologue, you will see how weak she is, she is only supported by the great performances of the rest of the cast !
the recaps and the theme song run long...but From is enjoyed better when you watch it in binge mode, but i am glad that they dent release every episode at once, it would devalue the experience. you almost have to watch every episode more than once to clue everything together

my only gripe is that i have to wait a year or so for season 4. kinda wish i slowed down watching HAHA
Go watch all season 3 so u know the painful wait ahead 😂
You should make a tier list of the characters…
100%! Already working on it!

Well, if you like From, ypu should watch Lynch's Lost Highway... It's almost virtually identical. From a narrative and psychoanalysis view point.
Lost Highway is top notch. Underrated Lynch flick.
