This is why Carl should’ve never died. Let’s say Rick’s departure still happened in season 9 and was “killed off” they could’ve easily still continued the show with Carl as the main character and maybe give him Rick’s role in the comics with stopping the commonwealth war which would see Carl finally step up to the the leader just like his dad
@@TheTom20 yet we got characters with actors that got paid an adult wage that just kind of lingered. We didn’t need to see Ezekiel, Gabriel, Jerry, Aaron, all the way to end game. Especially since many of Carl‘s comic moments are way less powerful with the teen Carl from the show replacing the 8yr old in the books. So instead of the now adult Chandler Riggs chugging along in season 9 with the arc of his 13 year old comic counter part, they could have taken advantage of him being way older and use him to fill Rick‘s shoes.

Rick as a character lost his direction and purpose after Carl died. His motivation to continue in this messed up world was only to protect his firstborn who was still trying to grow up and be a man. That’s probably partly the reason why he left. Whether his departure would have still happened or not Carl would have filled in those boots and it wouldn’t have felt like too big of a let down since it was his destiny to take the reigns anyways. Sure it would have happened earlier than we would have liked but it would allow other side characters to share the spotlight more and we can see Carl transition into a grown up leader in his own right and navigate the world through the lessons of his deceased father and mother. I wouldn’t have minded that and even though Rick got taken out early his purpose still lived on and seeing a boy whom we first saw as a child become like his father was would have been great to see.
This is what happens when studios don't honor and respect the source what made stories so great. They strayed the source materials, not having main characters main focused, and not screening any important parts from the story. I like the 2 conclusions of sparing Negan showing. What Rick told Negan in the end made more sense and was well earned more than the show version.
All I ask for is a reboot, animated and based on the comics story. So any changes that would happen to the comics story would be not necessarily changed, but EXTENDED or more in depth.
I hated it when Rick left the show, because he was the best character his humanity was tested the most out of all the survivors being a cop at the beginning and having to abandon his morals to protect others at any cost and brilliant acting from Andrew Lincoln.
Or what if Carl was taken to the CRM and became a one eyed badass trained soldier. Rick and the group could be looking for Carl for a few seasons and eventually reunite with a trained Carl
@@krinkle7695 well the first flaw with that is the crm doesn’t operate like that. anyone the crc finds is either killed and/or experimented on or used for labor for 6+ yrs til they gain citizenship. Jadis gave Rick to them as a worker, okafor saw the potential in Rick and Thorne that they could help him change the crm and got em in the military.
Really after TOWL I truly think the spinoffs within the main show are kinda pointless besides season 1-3 of Fear, but Fear season 4-8 World Beyond and Tales feel worthless. You just need TWD Season 1-11 and TOWL you get a full story, and take everyone else’s ending in TWD series finale as final and Daryl comes back from riding off. Because I never saw DD or DC. So, they’re ending works with TOWL without the other spinoffs
I don’t think they wasted it. He had a solid arc. The issue is that they didn’t let him die. The comic finished his story perfectly. Killing Carl ruined the show.
My favorite aspect of Rick’s character is the fact that every single action he does links back to his central motivation, one that has never changed: protecting his family. The only things that changed is that after Lori’s (and Judith in the comics) death protecting his family meant just protecting Carl (and Judith in the show), and over time what it took to protect his family changed drastically. And I love the fact that Carl ends the comics with the same central motivation guiding his actions-protecting his daughter. If there’s one thing I will never forgive AMC for, it’s robbing us of that final image of Carl reading to Andrea. I can forgive everything else changing, but not that.
I wish we got more scenes with Rick and Negan when Negan was imprisoned. I remember only one scene and it gave me goosebumps. Huge missed potential in my opinion.
I bet Andrew Lincoln wanting to leave was partially fueled by how dirty they did Chandler Riggs. He literally bought a house near the sets so filming would be easier on him and then apparently they fired him afterwards which is why he left the show. I mean, AMC is known for doing people dirty, take a look back at season 2 and just how different the story turned out because AMC decided to screw people over. I bet if AMC didn't have their heads up their ass, we would have had an actual ending and not the fan fiction we got on TV after Carl's death.
Rick is my favourite character from any show or movie and even I can see how his character was wasted. All thr characters were wasted potential. Glenn Mazara, Scott Gimple and Angela Kang are the true villains of TWD
The Alexandria opening with them getting put through the bleeding troughs was honestly one of the biggest moments of TV for me. I was only like 15 at the time I think and remember it sticking with me for a while.
I see everyone talking about spinoffs but we all got played. Gimple said they had story ideas and the comic source material planned to reach 20 or more seasons. The comics ending was something they didn't see coming. But look two or three spinoffs equal a 16-24 season of the walking dead. What kinda killed the series was the way they told the story. Storyline A was Rick, then B Darryl, C Maggie etc. We would wait like four weeks or more to get back to Rick at some points. Now with streaming those seasons were that happens flow better. But in real life it was awful. So now we got 16-24 new episodes a year just broken down into "spinoffs" 6,TOWL, 6 Darryl, 8 Dead City. In other words season 12 or now season 13 of the Walking Dead broken into spinoffs. Now they will drag things out for years why we hope for reunions and have theories about them connecting the storylines through things like the CRM. But it never happens. And it's sad because they easily could have done it with Rick setting Carol up with CRM planes to get to Darryl instead of her happening to find some guy with a plane in his garage. Wouldn't it have been nice to have a Rick cameo were he sers Carol up with a plane. Even if it was done in a way were Rick wasn't on camera and a CR representative comes. One could even have been Beales spies who is connected to Geante. And please with the crap OH RICK has t gotten back yet. That's Gimple's fault and laziness with this timeline crap. That's always the excuse of having all these shows but none of them are happening at the same time. Now ask yourself. Would it have been better overall if things were all concurrently running or this crap were we don't know if Dead City is 5 or 10 years ahead of Darryl story but the Rick story is back 10 years. It's mess just typing it. A cool prequel here or there would be ok. But overall the whole universe should be connected and going on at the same time.
There's nothing you can do about it, the actor wanted to leave, sure you can say that if you keep Carl alive, maybe he'd have stayed more? But he'd have left anyways, maybe a season later or something.
Agreed. I remember watching a bts thing on the season 4 dvd I think, and Andrew was talking about wanting to know how long ricks story could go on for because he didn’t want to be Rick grimes forever. Andrew wanted to leave the show well before the episode with Carl dying was even written. They planned on 8x16 being his death episode, but managed to convince him to stay one more season. He was leaving the show either way.
I was really hoping that Rick would be exposed to the yeast 'cure' and decide to stick with the CRM, either killing Michonne or driving her away, or making her understand he has a bigger responsibility to fulfill by staying with the CRM and trying to change its leadership from within. Beale was wasted.
they're a lot of characters in twd universe but Rick still and will always be my favourite character along with Abraham and Daryl Rick's character development is insane he's one of my favourites fictional characters of all time i will say
Fun story that nobody asked for. The night this show first aired, I had no idea what it was. If i wasnt a kid who loved call of duty zombies and other games in the genre I wouldve never stopped scrolling to watch this random zombie show. DirectTv used to have very vague descriptions like "man wakes up from coma in search of his wife and son in a zombie apocalypse." I thought it was a short low budget movie at first. Seeing Rick get stuck in the tank in atlanta with Glenn reaching out through the radio at the end was mind blowing because the credits rolled and a trailer for next week started playing. An entire series set in this world was mind blowing to me as a kid. What I am getting at through all of this is that this show in the first through forth season can all stand alone as contained stories. Where twd went bad was when amc was forcing its viewers to tune in to watch the premiers and finales instead of just producing steady episodes that left us satisfied wanting more.
This video is great. I love how you captured the entire show AND comics in such a short time and still got every one of your points across. Amazing work man keep it up :)
This show is such a tragedy. One of my favorite and least favorite shows of all time. They sold so hard by cutting budgets, cutting corners with writing and characters, ramping up the unnecessary melodrama, etc. The show felt so raw and grounded even with the comic source material. I was even hopeful after the first Negan episode especially with how season 6 was starting to decline. But then they truly ruined the show.
As someone who’s watched this show over 3x (plus spinoffs) and read the comics, I have to side with the fact Carl’s death was the worst decision they ever made. The ending of TOWL too, like who cares he met RJ, even RJ didn’t care that much. Imagine that were Carl and Judith he was reuniting with. Moral of the story I love this show but they seriously fall off when it comes to endings to seasons and characters.
They sold and rushed the spin off. We didn't see rick get to reunite with Daryl and other characters. I wish we got to see more of Rick evolving. For example, it would have been nice to see if Rick took over the CRM.
Amazing editing bro def took multiple hours you can for sure tell. Rick’s comic book death was the death no one wanted but what was needed. tv show wise season 1-5 was absolutely peak I loved watching it but, later season were horrible so many characters that we could have seen branch out was completely ruined by amc
NGL… Carl being killed off was when I lost actual interest. They never had one real reason as to why it was done. The actor had no idea and the show runners were just like “oh it’s an unpredictable world” fudge outta here!
I personally think characters such as Andrea, Tyreese, T-Dog, and even Lori Grimes are all characters who were killed way too soon and not allowed to demonstrate their full potential.
If nobody Rick knew died he would be the Rick from season 1 still, but I will say I wouldn’t change what Rick did so glad they didn’t do what I thought they would
The biggest waste was to continue after the bridge in the tv show version of TWD and on top of that having him survive making his sacrifice mean nothing. The tv show should have ended with that episode. With the last scenesafter the bridge showing everyone actually coming togheter through their grief, love and respect for Rick and for the first time rebuilding society and raising a statue of Rick as a symbol that we can all come back and ending the show on a happy note. Then if the showrunners ever wanted to restart a TWD universe with the original characters like Darryl, Carrol and so on you can have it about society collapsing again years in the future making them struggle with ideas of repeting cycles and hopelessness that nomatter how far they come they will always be the walking dead and society is always doomed to fail or is it?
21:54 yeah its crazy we actually experienced the time jump irl cause holy hell I find it odd his disappearance and the wait of the show were the same lol
"no other character the comes close to the wasted potential" My guy....... carl????? uhhh shane???? glenn???? 3 characters right here that had endless amounts of potential but were just never used. Meanwhile if you ask when did 90% of twd fans stop watching the show they would all tell you when rick left. TWD was rick. With that much of a statement I don't know how you can try to argue rick didn't live up to his potential. Things could of always been better or more perfect but as far as living up to potential rick was everything he needed to be. I can't say the same for carl shane and glenn. Espically when you go down the road and see how characters like the goveronor and negan got endless amounts of screen time it just made killing off shane even more unacceptable. That is wasted potential for me. Playing fast and loose with OG amazing characters and amazing actors. And sorry to any fanboys but daryl was never interesting he was never a good character. He was fine as a side character but that was his limit. Characters like shane would of been on ricks level or even above it if the show used them right but instead nah kill him off in 2 seasons because we cant make it work with rick lori and shane.... Oh btw we killed off lori 1 season later so shanes death was even more pointless lol unlucky viewers.
Jerry!! Absolutely LOVE the video!! I have another video idea if you think you could make a video about it. Its not something i see really any videos on but something I've been interested in for a bit now that the show is over. The debate between which showrunner did justice for the show, between Frank Darabont, Glen Mazzara, Scott Gimple, and Angela Kang. A lot of people automatically say Frank Darabont and although his casting was perfect, the creation of Daryl Dixon who would become an iconic original character, and season 1 was perfect in my eyes, this show having I'd say arguably THEE best pilot episode, his ideas for season 2 were debated a lot amongst fans, almost controversial (although not as controversial as his attitude on set lol)
I’d love to see an Amazon’s prime series in the art style of the comics but in color and have all the characters return to voice their respective role. Imagine the invincible series but TWD
I never finished the comics but Loved the show and Ricks character. I think Carl and Rick's end is good lesson on realism, the world is unpredictable and senseless. The story is only in our heads. The men and boys die first is any conflict
The producers, writers and developers are STOKED that the fans are upset. Ever since GoT writers said “subvert your expectations” that has been the front runner saying for modern motion picture
Watching that dumpster fire yesterday was painful. The convient plot points! Why couldn't they have a surprise Rick cameo!? After Carol finds out the Darryl's in France. She returns home and tells everyone where Darryl is. Rick sets up a up a CR rescue team( since they are the only group with flying capabilities) Carol insists that she goes instead since Rick just returned! Then the audience sees one of the team members is one of Beales spys that are secretly left over. He calls Geante to warn her who is coming for Darryl. Now she knows exactly where Darryl is from. And this introduces the story elements of the CRMs connection to the overall universe! But no we got convient story telling. A guy just happens to be there! ( With a rose and similar story with his kid(
They could have done time skips to work the narrative of the comic book into the show. They just did what they wanted to do as early as season 3, lol. 😎
I have personally never seen that many of the comics, the only ones i have seen are scattered throughout the story. I am however, a die hard fan of the show. And while yeah it was a bummer to not see rick in the last three seasons of the show, it was inevitable. And about the CRM, i don't think it's over for them yet. i think the best thing to do is to bring the CRM back for a final fight, there's still that settlement in Oregon, and i don't think everyone in the main base by Philadelphia are all gone. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Despite, how much of a mess season 7 was, Rick was utilized really well in it before season 8, killing Carl instead of him for the peace message was such a bad choice, like we got Morgan there, and no one care about his annoying peace should be the only option bs, but nope, let's kill Carl so we don't have to pay adult wage, like cmon, couldn't they just kill off Morgan or wait until the commonwealth arc and kill off Rick.
To me TOWL should have been the last season of TWD main series to bring it all together with RICK. I don't know how they would have done it, but that would have been better, and then have all the spinoffs they want. Imagine the last scene is Rick and the helicopter... and then season 12 of TWD just starts off with Rick at the CRM and then the two timelines collide they come back they prepare for war in the CRM VS Commonwealth then they end that with variant runners coming ... new threat. But what we have is very strange guys.
I love the fact “ OTIS “ shot Carl but he was a kid in the woods with a camouflage shirt on ! Like 👍🏻 sure ok. Great parenting especially you would be on high alert at this point in the world !
the show was amazing (first half mostly) but its so strange how everytime the writers chose to veer away from the comics storylines (andrea, carl, ricks fucking death) it felt noticeably... bad? like when carl died i almost stopped watching the show and once rick died i actually did. Andreas character in the show was easily the most fucking anoyying of the entire "ensamble" so it makes sense they tried to redeem her slightly with her death since it could never have lived up to the comics version. a version which most people, myself included until 15 minutes ago, usually arent going to be aware of even existing.
I’m honestly pretty happy with how show Rick was written. I like him better than comic Rick tbh. I absolutely hated comic Rick’s ending and how he did next to nothing after the whisperer war. With the way things happened in the show, luckily, we got to avoid that whole mess and Rick lived in the show. I honestly think Andrew would’ve left the main show one way or another though. Back on the season 4 special features dvd (I think that was the one), Andrew was talking about wanting to know an ending for Rick or having an endgame for Rick because he didn’t want to do that forever. Rick was going to be killed off in season 8 well before Carl dying happened, but they managed to convince Andrew to stay for one more season. So I think it would’ve happened either way, but the way that it went down was for the best because Rick in the show got something his comic counterpart didn’t get, a happy ending with his family.
I think the tv Pike scene was waaaay better than the comics. With the comics the only characters of importance was Rosita & Ezekiel. and tbh Rosita really wasn’t all that important in the comics. The rest were Olivia & no named people (yes I know they had names). But with the show we lost Tara & Enid 2 people we’ve known since S4 & 5. Henry, a kid we’ve been watching grow for 2 seasons & who leaves an impact on Carol & Ezekiel. Some other kids & others we do know in some manner; @ least more than we did w/ the comics.
Having more names in a death doesn’t matter if you never cared about who was piked. Henry dying meant nothing to me because prior to his death he was just there until he took up Carl’s roll. Enid and Tara were also there, Enid was just Carl’s girlfriend then dies, and Tara you would really need to care about her early season to be affected.
@@PostCrisisRH Tara’s my 3rd fav character & I loved me some Enid, & Henry hit hard cause of Carol. To me it was more personal I. The show. With the comics they only had 2 characters w any importance, & really just 1.
@@corbinowens2437 I mean yeah, you had more of a connection with those characters than I did, so to me the pikes felt safe because it was just characters who were doing nothing in the story. I did like the Ezekiel and Rosita moment, since I liked both of them a lot, but just like the show it really was too safe should’ve replaced some characters.
I see how you compare other people’s quotes on Season 9 and after with Rick’s quotes and say how they don’t hit the same. It’s simply because it’s not coming from Rick. Rick is a character who literally made that show what it is. Any feelings, any crazy moments, any scene that could make you say “Damn.. what just happened, no way that just happened, what? it cant be, holy shit!” was Rick doing that. He brought something to the show that just cant be replaced by anyone else. (other than Carl which I’ll get to in a sec) for instance Daryl saying we ain’t the walking dead. It was pretty bad right? It felt like it was missing something, it’s just the way he said it and performed it, Daryl just doesn’t have that character in him to make the viewers feel any feelings. Quotes and attempting to be a leader is not where Daryl shines, but I believe every character has their justice shown somewhere, Daryl is a character where his best content is shown when he is on his own, like in Daryl Dixon series. Now that we’ve gotten to this part, we can talk about Carl. Earlier when I said no one can replace Rick because there is no one like him, there is and it’s Carl. If they hadn’t killed him off, Rick’s death basically wouldn’t have even mattered, because Carl was a complete clone of his dad. When watching Carl in the Negan era it genuinely made you feel something, when Carl was bitten and was talking to Negan over the fence and offered that he dies, it was one of those times where you went “damn..” like surprised and it made you feel a certain way. Carl just has the same character and gives off the same exact effect as Rick.
After a disappointing and bad two seasons, I really liked Rick Grimes death, he got to use his gun one last time, he was surrounded by his friends, and he found his family, I loved it. to find out that his death meant nothing and that it was a fake out , made the great death bad, and after doing nothing with the character, they should of just had that death be the actual death, and have it lead to the communities uniting, like with the commonwealth ark in the comic
All a lost cause.......way to far from the concept and source material... I'm disappointed over all post-season 5.....I'm watching DD season 2 at 5 am, expecting not much....meh...R.I.P TWD
I have to disagree on ricks comic death i think it was just a way to add really cheap shock value and kirkmans reasoning on why he did it im not buying it. there is no justifying that decision. But thats my piece lol great video👍🏼
It would be shock if it was never stated that Rick was never gonna live past the trials. Rick’s death was most likely the best path for him since he was at his weakest when he was at his most safest
I lost almost all interest in the show after Chandler Riggs was kicked off the show, i literally only finished it bc i wanted to see what happened with Daryl and Negan and tbh i wasted my time. Seasons 9 through 11 were pointless and nearly every character was ruined after ricks departure. I was excited initially for the ones who live but after i saw Rick cut off his hand FOR NO REASON in the first 3 minutes of the first episode i lost all faith in the show being good. I made it to the end of episode 2 before giving up on this sitcom level writing and tbh you can tell Andrew and Danai are done with these characters they didnt want to be a part of this show and its very clear with how thrown in their acting was. I've said it for years, them randomly k*lling off carl was the final nail in the coffin for the show and without Daryl id have stopped watching the show altogether. Not to mention...they somehow ruined daryls character too 🙄 Also side note wtaf was that finale? Rosita with a baby strapped to her chest somehow just...stands up in a horde of walkers? And is only bitten a single time in all of that mess? Why couldnt they at least try go make a good ending? Not to mention daryl leaves vowing to bring back rick and Michonne then just... doesn't? What was the point in having daryl learn Ricks alive only for him to randomly decide "nah fam he gone dont know what i was thinking"? Did they even reunite? I mean hes in France FOR SOME REASON so im guessing not...
I disagree I don’t think it was wasted potential that was my favorite tv character of all time they did a good job with his character. I agree tho when he left the show became unwatchable
You know at this point I hope the walking dead gets the invincible treatment, and they animate it instead. It would probably be much better in pacing and adaptation
The reason I hated parts of season 5 was because Rick was kinda sidelined during middle half and it was stupid Rick Grimes is the main character focus on him and not fucking Noah or Beth. Actually I like Beth as a character but still point stands
Rick Grimes is the greatest character in the show I don't care what anyone says. I stopped caring about The Walking Dead after they killed Carl. That was a dumb decision and ruined the show for me.
I've been rewatching the show with my girlfriend (her first time) and we just tapped out for a while after season 9A. It's just...not a good show. Even on a binge in the later seasons. Rick was the best part but it's just such a basic show.
I think glenn had more wasted potential then rick as if negative killed Maggie instead it glenn would have lost his son and wife and could of sparked a glenn spin off show
What happened to the 3 movies that were going to come out? All we got was the crap "The Ones Who Lived" short ass tv series. Did the movies end up getting canceled and they just had to get Rick back on the show so they made that short series??? It was cool to see Rick back but damn they really dropped the ball with that series. I am hoping the 2 spinoff's are at least going to stay some-what good.
I couldn't watch the deries sfter Rick's death. I liked the ones who live also. The worst mistake was to continue the series without him, but money won

@@mkwsoxfan yeah sometimes I really question some of these actors integrity. ESPECIALLY when it comes to FTWD
@@thomasmacmullan i feel like its not that easy for actors to speak up. I mean look at ftwd the main character didnt like the show n couldnt do anything about it so he just left n the show to a massive hit as a result. Its almost like they should stop killing off the main character and stop killing fan favorites in this universe.
AMC and TWD will never end and never reboot cause, new generation with RJ and Judith spinoff and new characters as well
@@LarryHayward-yo4qg rip

I hated it when Rick left the show, because he was the best character his humanity was tested the most out of all the survivors being a cop at the beginning and having to abandon his morals to protect others at any cost and brilliant acting from Andrew Lincoln.
A comic accurate animated Walking Dead series would be amazing!
That would be lame I'm not gonna lie
Really after TOWL I truly think the spinoffs within the main show are kinda pointless besides season 1-3 of Fear, but Fear season 4-8 World Beyond and Tales feel worthless. You just need TWD Season 1-11 and TOWL you get a full story, and take everyone else’s ending in TWD series finale as final and Daryl comes back from riding off. Because I never saw DD or DC. So, they’re ending works with TOWL without the other spinoffs
Agreed
Season 1 and 2 are my favorite from the show which is strange because they’re both really different. Imo season 2 is the best in the show
@@JC0ALOFT For me, season 1-4 is best. Second half of season 5 is when the show lost its identity imo.
Someone said you sound like Mordecai from regular show and i cant unhear it
Rick is my favourite character from any show or movie and even I can see how his character was wasted. All thr characters were wasted potential. Glenn Mazara, Scott Gimple and Angela Kang are the true villains of TWD
Honestly, can’t wait until they finally let the series rest. No amount of spin-offs or tales of stories will ever save anything Walking dead.
The Alexandria opening with them getting put through the bleeding troughs was honestly one of the biggest moments of TV for me. I was only like 15 at the time I think and remember it sticking with me for a while.
Terminus?
I really like this editing style
Glad to hear it! Spent countless hours working on this one.
@@BoogSReviewsChandler Riggs himself said he believes Carl's death himself hurried up Andy's departure.
he didnt
Thank you very much!!!!
Rick lost his mind in season 5 and had a fighting battle throughout till he left
To be fair we have no idea what will happen after these spin offs events
@@Mehmet.Fitness they pretty much DID take over the CRM .. I don’t get it
Rick character after Carl death would’ve still felt like he wasn’t there.
If Rick was still in the show I may have continued the show.
Yunno, i wouldnt be too mad if they pull a mw3 and make carl say "I wasnt lost to the infection, i shot my arm off to stop the infection"
Thank you!! And this is a great idea! Definitely noting this one.
I’d love to see an Amazon’s prime series in the art style of the comics but in color and have all the characters return to voice their respective role. Imagine the invincible series but TWD
subbed watching whole video rn i can already tell this a banger breakdown in the first min
Thanks for the sub!
I never finished the comics but Loved the show and Ricks character. I think Carl and Rick's end is good lesson on realism, the world is unpredictable and senseless. The story is only in our heads. The men and boys die first is any conflict
@@romance6933 Carl’s death was written so terribly unlike Rick who at least got a good “death” scene. There was no realism bc Rick is still alive.
( With a rose and similar story with his kid(
Its crazy how much people defended towl.
"The crm didn't matter it was a love story the entire time!"
That’s such a cop out answer 😭
They could have done time skips to work the narrative of the comic book into the show. They just did what they wanted to do as early as season 3, lol. 😎
Great video! Agree 100% May see Rick again though.
Great video dude 👍
Thanks so much!! This was a very important video for me and I put a lot of work into it, glad to see the feedback!
👏👏 👏 Great video! Could not agree more
12:12 Shii, that was the most heartbreaking moment in the comic for me.
He’s better in the comics in my opinion
Thank god i drop the show after s3 and just read the comic's
Great video ❤
Thank you, Mr. Ice Water🫡
I did like the Ezekiel and Rosita moment,
since I liked both of them a lot, but just like the show it really was too safe should’ve replaced some characters.
After a disappointing and bad two seasons, I really liked Rick Grimes death, he got to use his gun one last time, he was surrounded by his friends, and he found his family, I loved it. to find out that his death meant nothing and that it was a fake out , made the great death bad, and after doing nothing with the character, they should of just had that death be the actual death, and have it lead to the communities uniting, like with the commonwealth ark in the comic
as much as i love daryl he never filled ricks role like he was ment to
I could listen to this guy say the word “cast” all day
😂😂😂
All a lost cause.......way to far from the concept and source material... I'm disappointed over all post-season 5.....I'm watching DD season 2 at 5 am, expecting not much....meh...R.I.P TWD
Season 6 episode 9, my headcanon and true ending to the walking dead show. PERIOD!!!
Not to mention...they somehow ruined daryls character too 🙄
Also side note wtaf was that finale? Rosita with a baby strapped to her chest somehow just...stands up in a horde of walkers? And is only bitten a single time in all of that mess? Why couldnt they at least try go make a good ending? Not to mention daryl leaves vowing to bring back rick and Michonne then just... doesn't? What was the point in having daryl learn Ricks alive only for him to randomly decide "nah fam he gone dont know what i was thinking"? Did they even reunite? I mean hes in France FOR SOME REASON so im guessing not...
Perfectly said!
I disagree I don’t think it was wasted potential that was my favorite tv character of all time they did a good job with his character. I agree tho when he left the show became unwatchable
I just hope we'll see Invincible-style animated The Walking Dead show
You know at this point I hope the walking dead gets the invincible treatment, and they animate it instead. It would probably be much better in pacing and adaptation
I think Carl should have went with Georgie to other communities if he was going to leave the show
The reason I hated parts of season 5 was because Rick was kinda sidelined during middle half and it was stupid Rick Grimes is the main character focus on him and not fucking Noah or Beth. Actually I like Beth as a character but still point stands
Team Book Rick FOR LYYYYYYYYFE!
I just always mentally ended the show with the bridge being blown up and Rick being flowed away. Maybe skip ahead to THOSE WHO LIVE>
Love the Philly accent
The only wasted potential????? TROY? NICK? TRAVIS? MORGAN? DWIGHT? EASTMAN?
Tons of wasted potential vids on the channel including Morgan
Rick Grimes is the greatest character in the show I don't care what anyone says. I stopped caring about The Walking Dead after they killed Carl. That was a dumb decision and ruined the show for me.
Carl Grimes as well IMO.
I've been rewatching the show with my girlfriend (her first time) and we just tapped out for a while after season 9A.
It's just...not a good show. Even on a binge in the later seasons. Rick was the best part but it's just such a basic show.
Rick Grimes was not never wasted potential in TWD Universe.
After the show flew away with Rick,,,, I was done and couldn't keep watching. It just got more and more ridiculous.
Twd ends at S8 for me it just lost the plot completely
I think glenn had more wasted potential then rick as if negative killed Maggie instead it glenn would have lost his son and wife and could of sparked a glenn spin off show
great story ruined by the selfishness of Scott GImple
Episode one of the ones who live was a masterpiece. Episode 6 was the opposite.
i wanna kiss you jerry
What happened to the 3 movies that were going to come out? All we got was the crap "The Ones Who Lived" short ass tv series. Did the movies end up getting canceled and they just had to get Rick back on the show so they made that short series??? It was cool to see Rick back but damn they really dropped the ball with that series. I am hoping the 2 spinoff's are at least going to stay some-what good.
im pretty sure TOWL was supposed to be a trilogy movie but got cancelled and instead turned into a spinoff series
stopped watching when they killed glen the second time ...
the walking dead was butchered for tv,i'd like to see a FAITHFUL adaptation of the comics-a three part movie trilogy-it deserves better
I couldn't watch the deries sfter Rick's death. I liked the ones who live also. The worst mistake was to continue the series without him, but money won
More so just the show in general tbh I guess he could’ve had more screen time and focus with less episodes on shit characters like fucking Tara, Beth, and “king Ezekiel” lmfao yea it went downhill but Ricks character was legendary
The show died after negan fell we got the proper ending and they ruined it
