I don’t always agree with your opinions but I love how honest you are, and it’s dumb people can’t respect your thoughts. That being said, I legit watch the episodes each week and when there’s something stupid I always think to myself, “Jerry is going to love this”😂
The way Losang became a Saturday Morning Cartoon villain showing up out of no where was peak comedy. Glad you pointed that out lol cause I laughed so hard when he just randomly showed up at the club.
I don't know if you noticed but they made a clear parallel with Sophia and Laurent. Rick hid Sophia and went to kill the two walkers and the last shot was of him killing the walker with a rock. And in this episode Daryl hid Laurent and went to kill Losang and the last shot was basically the same but this time rather than killing a walker with a rock, Daryl killed a human with a skull. It's pretty cool.
Oh Yeah, and also..If you guys haven't noticed..they took a page outta "The Last Of Us".When Laurent says to Daryl "I'm not going with u ,because I don't want u to die.Everyone I loved has died because of me".Isn't that something Ellie said to Joel at one point..
You completely right about the weird cut they did when Daryl and Laurent talk about Issi’s death. It’s the most bizarre cut since in the last Jedi they cut away from Luke’s reaction to what happened to Han 😂
In season 1 the walkers attacked eachother when Daryl was in the thing with Quinn fighting them.. So I think that's what happened when the walkers "exploded".. The two he shot with the serum attacked and ripped up the other walkers..
@@JoshGarciaJGG I completely forgot about that! It makes more sense now. Since genet is dead now, I wonder if we will ever get an explanation on how it works.

I personally had my hopes low for him BUT MY GUY STILL STANDS!!! Anyways im really glad about these charas just existing this season, cause they are the only thing that saved it for me. I've loved this whole season. Aside from some stupid Fear-adjacent shit in ep 3 (and Isabelle, sadly) I've had a blast. This episode did such a good job at bringing the whole season (and season 1) together for me in ways that were just so satisfying. The acknowledgment of why characters did things, the pacing, revisiting the locations like they mattered, the way they are telling this story (to me) is so refreshing and fun. People keep saying it feels like Fear, and I don't feel that at all, and I like how David Zabel has kind of made his own feeling in this show the other series desperately lacked. If the finale can stick the landing this might be one of my favorite shows of the year. Probably an unpopular opinion but I just really like this show. It's not some 10/10 masterpiece like everyone wants it to be, and there are weird things in every episode, but it's a solid 7 or 8/10 event show. If they can stay at this or Dead City's quality I'm happy. Just hoping they don't fumble in the finale like The Ones Who Live.
Isabelle’s death didn’t trouble me in itself; what truly disappointed me was the absence of any meaningful impact it had on the story. I expected her loss to create a clear path home for Daryl - nothing left to hold him in France - yet he would feel compelled to stay, driven by vengeance to settle the score for her. I wanted to see Daryl go on a Jack Bauer type murderous rampage and just kill everyone. Instead, Daryl grieved for all of five minutes before his emotions seemingly evaporated, leaving him oddly detached from the woman he’d supposedly loved just moments prior. This entire series has been a narrative mess, and if I’m honest, this episode didn’t land any better for me than the rest. And then there’s Carol, who bafflingly decides to reveal the truth to Ash while still in France, instead of waiting until they’re safely back. It’s a completely needless risk - Ash could have just taken off with his plane, making her gamble not only reckless but entirely unnecessary. To top it off, Carol’s sudden reappearance in the story, only for Isabelle to be killed off immediately afterward, gave me serious Morgan in Fear the Walking Dead vibes. It felt as though her arrival was setting up an arc that just as quickly collapsed into emptiness.
Still so salty about Isabelle's death. I know I need to let it go but... Angry. I would have liked her to have made it through at least another season with Daryl and Carol but I guess Laurant would never have left without her if she had lived so... but hell, we need at least one more if not two more regular characters to invest our interest and time in. Just would add another dynamic/dimension.
I think my biggest problem with this season is how rushed everything feels, like ok each season is only six episodes, so I get we can’t get multiple episodes dedicated to one thing but still. Like everything and every character that’s not Daryl and Carol feels like they are racing to finish. These past five episodes could have been a two season plot with absolutely no dragging out whatsoever
I really disliked last episode with abruptly killing of Isabelle and Genet BUT this episode was pretty damn good. By far best of season 2 in my opinion
This was actually a good episode. I find it amusing all the episodes they told us were "the best" were the worst. I haven't seen episode 6 yet obviously and they say that it's the best so let's hope they are right for once.
Couldron carried the last 2 episodes for me. I had lost interest in the plot cause of Ep4 but Couldron is the MVP right now and I am interested to see him in S3 atleast. I also needed to rewatch it with subtitles as I watched the leaks last week already. I also still despise Isabelle's death but I actually understand why all this happened now. Remember when this show was first announced 2 years ago this was supposed to be the Daryl and Carol show from Season 1 but Melissa couldn't do Season 1. So basically everything they created in S1 was filler to buildup for Carol coming into the series and was never the central plot. Now they can tell whatever story they wanted but I think its a terrible writing decision to do it like this. Its Fear levels of writing
If the steroid walkers attack regular walkers, it would be insane if they could use that to their advantage by using them to kill off big hoards of regular walkers. That would be an interesting storyline to follow instead of just dropping the plot point of steroid walkers altogether.
Jerry, do you actually know why the show is called “book” of Carol? Does she even own a book? Does she interact with a book of any kind in the show? I assumed that she would have some sort of journal like Michonne had when she was writing to Rick when looking for him, which would make sense. But why…WHY is it called the BOOK of Carol? It really frustrates me lol.
By variant walkers do you mean super walkers? Is it the darts that turn them into super walkers and the variant ones have just evolved over the virus changing to different forms. Love the video. Love Codron. Seen a video where the actor was interviewed along with the actress who played Genet and he said he loved filming Daryl Dixon and missed filming so...
Yes it was a good episode. sure we have to check our brains at the door, but it is what it is. whatever flashlights they are using (12 PLUS years after the end of the world) i want one!
What's also strange to me is there was no focus on Daryl and Carol trying to stop Genet or the Mad Scientist and stop the experiments to prevent the variant/super walkers from spreading. Theres no dialogue or concern or urgency, theyre just trying to get the fuck out of France, which I kind of understand, but this is a problem i have with these characters is they dont really see the bigger picture. Theyre so focused on their own survival they don't even think about consequences. They know how dangerous these super walkers are, theyve seen the experiments, but they don't have any questions about it and it's just like a side plot gimmick when it's the most intriguing part of the show which is supposed to be connected to other shows and finally give answers and make those connections
@@РусланХарченко-и7ч She was my favorite new character outside of Isabelle & Laurant.. Disappointed in how to he left her character at the end of this season..
What really fucks me off is that super walkers storyline is done now. I still had hope after Genet died that it could continue, but then Codron just blew off the scientists head and that's that. I really wanted and thought that the variant/super walkers would become a new feature in TWDU, this is was like a revamp of the franchise and an evolution of the undead to make things more fresh and exciting, that like with the Whisperers, the characters would have to change survival tactics and adapt to a new threat, not something that was purely for some action scenes in Daryl Dixon. No connection to the World Beyond post credits scene, so explanations given about why variants exist and how the experiments work, no further exploration of the lore, it was very surface level and very underutilised. I wanted them to do a lot more with the story and for this to be something that would change the game going forward. Instead it's over just as it was getting started and fans are left disappointed, just like with the CRM in TOWL. It also becomes abundantly clear from episode 4 onwards that it becomes all about wrapping up everything because this is just gonna be the Daryl and Carol show going forward with no dead weight, which just makes me wonder what the point of having Daryl alone in season 1 was and introducing all these characters and storylines if it was only for 12 episodes. They could've at least had some characters live so they could come back in the future and have at least Isabelle or Laurent continue on the journey to Spain. This means nothing from the first 2 seasons is going to continue or matter going forward, which is also disappointing. They just could've done so much more and better with this season
It really annoys me that in these new spin-offs they have a habit of killing everybody but the legacy characters bt the end of the season. They did it with The Ones Who Live, and now they’ve started doing it with Daryl Dixon. I hope this isn’t a trend we see going forward.
They probably skipped over Daryl telling Laurent about Isabelle's death because they just couldn't get the acting right. I have a feeling the Kid acting as Laurent couldn't nail the acting for that scene. Even Daryl reacting to Isabelle's death was poor.
REALLY good episode. Was not expecting to like the show much after Isabelle's death. I totally agree about your feedback about Laurent. He's one of the very few great kid actors on TWD and I like seeing him and Daryl together. Also another thing I totally agree with you on is that the entire storyline is absolutely stupid. This guy literally got everyone including himself killed to prove something absolutely ridiculous.
I'm enjoying the season overall but they are making the same mistake they made with FTWD after season 3 and later seasons of the main show. They are rushing it too much. It's becoming more like Avengers with Zombies. In the early seasons of TWD there was lots of space for the characters and story to develop, which is missing a bit here. The cast are all great and I love the cinematography, its stunning, but its missing a bit of heart in the writing and pacing.
