Thank you so much for sharing! My mother passed away from colon cancer in when she was 42 yo. I was 16 and my sisters were 9yo and 3yo. They were even worse about checking younger people back in 2002 when she was diagnosed. I get checked every 5 years but I’m a year behind my check up after a difficult emotional year last year. All I want in life is to see my son grow old. If you are parent- please remember that your health is not just for you. Indulgences in unhealthy habits are not worth leaving your child without a parent.

I have found applying coconut oil to my rectum and a little inward has helped enormously to treat haemorrhoids, internal tissue bleeds and scars. I also take Metamucil to keep regular, so the less you take, the better it works.

I'm 72 and for the last month or so I am having a terrible time using the bathroom - constipation. I am scheduled for a colonscopy September 23rd - that was the earliest opening. I had developed some sort of weird problem swallowing (just choked a couple of times over the last 2 years - they couldn't find anything wrong) so consequently I started living on a lot of processed foods...canned soup, etc. for the last year. That stuff is not good for a person but I was so weirded out about possibly choking that I was living on the kinda stuff. Anyway, cancer took my mom (at 70) and my dad (at 60) so I am pretty suspicious. It just feels as though something is blocking my stool from moving. Another great topic of discussion: I have one helluva hemmorhoid that refuses to go away. Thanks for the frank discussion and as indelicate as the shape of your poo, your bowel habits generally may be they are important indicators of health. Good on you for just being candid about these things. In my case I don't have any other symptoms so I am hoping for the best - on the other hand, given my age and family history I feel like the deck is kinda stacked against me. I'll find out, one way or the other. Good job on the video....your doing a public service. Wishing you the best with your health.

Thanks for this info , I had blood tests recently, and my iron levels were very low , so I was given stool tests to do , and they came back with blood in them , I’m waiting for the doc to contact me about tap colonoscopy
