I have never bought jar garlic. I never knew limes were yellow until they turn green, and I started growing them. Wow looks amazing. I used to love clams and seafood yum. Have a blessed day! I'll be making this for our New Year's celebration and probably any other time I need a dip! I have everything I need for it including fresh homegrown horseradish. Easy to grow in a bucket and oh my the flavor is so good and will take it to another level! Grind or grate it outside though and I'm sure you figured out how I know that lol.

I love retro/nostalgic recipes! I do agree that fresh minced garlic is way better. I am trying to use up the (huge) jarred garlic that I bought from Sam’s but when it’s gone I’m going back to fresh!
Thank you! Me, too. I bought jarred garlic once, and thank goodness it was small. There is just something about fresh for me. Oddly, I AM willing to use the ginger in a tube from the store. My aunt passed away this summer from pancreatic cancer and she, amongst many other amazingly delicious recipes, made the most mouthwatering clam dip every time we visited (and I hate seafood, so you know I'm telling the truth). I never got around to asking her for this recipe but I'll bet you this was darn close ❤🤤

Oh, I sure hope you like it! If you like a firmer dip, I would leave the mayo out. The lime juice and horseradish are enough to thin the cream cheese.

Grandma's dips are always the best! And I don't think I've ever seen ketchup in a dip???
Oh - I only use ketchup for cocktail sauce that we dip fish into. We don’t use one whole bottle of ketchup in a whole year.
