    Hello, thanks for sharing your cancer chemotherapy journey, you have been thru a lot and how wonderful your husband built raised garden beds and gardening is good theraphy and yes Sacramento hot summers l remember when l visited friends where bay area it is cooler god bless you and your husband.yes plant diets are a work in progress but in long run healthy for the body ,l haven't completely gone plant diet but lately l cook vegetarian meals,to have a break from meat. That was something you still went to work during chemotherapy even though it was difficult.

      Thank you for your kind comments. Working wasn’t too bad until tired took over. Taking the whole treatment time off this last round made a huge difference. I just picked up some worm castings and amendments for the garden…lettuce, super greens, and bok choy going in next weekend! It should be cool enough by then.

    I have stage 3B lung cancer and I did 4 rounds of Carboplatin and will continue on with my Pemetrexed and Keytruda for the next 5 years. My hair has thinned, I have the toothpaste problem, constant constipation, mouth sores on and off, all foods taste like cardboard and I have the neuropathy in my feet and they always feel like they are burning. I am 70 yrs old.

    Try Suzanne Somers tooth paste
    Or brush using a mixture of canning & pickling salt and baking soda. (Its importantto try to use only the canning and pickling salt for everything because it has no preservatives or any caking etc ) per Dr Huggins DDS.

      As for the Dr Atkins Diet they have recipes for vegetarians as well.
      I've read that animal proteins are better for healing per Dr Huggins.
      Chicken, turkey and eggs I've heard is best for cancer. The National Institutes for Health mentions a ketogenic diet help treat cancer.
      His Vita-nutrients book he mentions cancer, the nerve pain , edema etc have Vita-nutrients that can help in the place of pharmaceutical drugs with toxic side effects.
      That's where a Functional Medicine Doctor and a Functional Nutritional person would be of great help for you.
      God Bless

    Hi Michelle, I started listening to your videos today. They are so informative, so thank you. I was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago, so I totally understand your side effects from chemo. On Tuesday I'm going to go have an endoscopy done because I have suffered with guts issues off and on for the past 20 years.
    Also, as far as eating plant based foods, have you heard of Chef AJ? She's on UA-cam and I've learned a great deal from watching her.
    Keep fighting, sister. ❤

    • @BigValleyLiving
      @BigValleyLiving  Рік тому +1

      Thank you, Norma! I hope your breast cancer treatment is either going well, or went well and you feel positive. Sorry about the guy issues. Goodness knows, chemo probably didn’t help that very much. Praying your endoscopy goes well. I have watched Chef AJ, and she is good. I have been watching and listening to Dr. Joel Fuhrman, and I adore Ann and Jane Esselstyn from Forks Over Knives. The energy they all have is infectious! Plant based is really the best way for me to go, and since I LOVE veggies, all I need to do is lose the cheese. And occasional meat and (🥲) bread. Let’s DO THIS! Stay strong and please keep me updated. I hope all goes well.

      @@sharonmckee2403, how well I understand. It is all in His hands, for sure. I honestly didn't know if I would be here today. I was leaving my office this afternoon and saw someone I've worked with (different office, same company) who was so astounded and pleased to see me. His reaction made me happy, but it reminded me of how the diagnosis can trigger uneasy thoughts. I go in for my CEA test next week, results to follow on the 22 of February. My uncertainty will likely be on an upcoming video. Every time we go in, the waiting takes a little toll.

    Hi Big Valley, I always listen to your sharing about your present situation like mine too . For my side effects from chemo treatment is not completely like yours but some side effects like sensitive from cold drinks and sore mouth neuropathy hands and feet until now. Just 5mons done with chemo . The sad part I my knees are aching and my right knee hurts so much pain. It developed into artrosis problem walking but I try to walk everyday at least 4-6thousand steps a day . I just keep praying and stay positive in this sad situation of ours. I’m one year this month since I had my surgery done colorectal stage 3. As of now, I don’t have any treatment but I had my scan last but my oncologist said to have a 2d echo for my thyroid and nothing serious and had a visit to my gynecologist all is fine but a semi solid nodule from my lungs that keep me a little worried but he nothing really serious. Waiting for my colonoscopy this November and blood test and the detection of cancer cells embryo then then can decide for my next treatment. Let’s keep on praying for complete healing. God is in control of everything so my only savior is our creator God . Praying for you too. Until next vlog.GodBless you! From Italy.
