    Thank you for being so truthful and open about what you are experiencing. Thank God you are in remission. Just wanted to let you know that I have an aunt who is now 93 y/o and was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer 23 years ago. She is tough as nails and still driving from Illinois to Florida and back every year with her 92 y/o husband. I will pray for you that you stay in remission for the rest of your very long life.

    thankyou for your video's. I had radiation through my abdomen to tumors on my spine. Radiation caused so much tooth decay and still remains too. No cavities for 5 year yearly appts. to dentist prior. 4 months post radiation treatments and my regular dentist appt. I had 5 cavities. One year later (this past May), I had 4 cavities. Radiation was the gift that keeps on giving. Sad that people aren't aware of radiation long term effects and thank you for sharing yours. hugs

      I so understand and relate to your situation! I try to find the silver lining. In my situation, there was no viable option to shrink or remove the cancerous tumor…so I sacrificed dental stability. I hope that despite the cavities, you have recovery from the cancer. Hugs to you, too.

    Michelle, I too suffer from Neuropathy in my feet from chemo. So sore and pain, toes all bent. I too always need something on my feet as often it feels like I'm walking on rocks on a bare floor. So grateful for the rare days my feet feel somewhat ok. I have edema also in my legs. I have lung cancer with top right lobe removed. To date I am 13 years friends with NED. I'm 77 going on 78. The steroids they give during chemo treatments made me blow up like a balloon. Never lost the weight. A cousin two years behind me had the same diagnosis, same srgery but her Dr. told her not to do chemo, just have a scan every six months. She is still friends with NED and got to carry on as before. I so feel for you that you have had so much to go through. The short term is real. I find I am having a hard time to remember what I did yesterday. I always have to make sure there is a washroom available wherever I go. A happy thought is there was a fellow in our Inspire group who has stage4 lung cancer, still smokes and 14 years still going. Myself if it comes back I will not do chemo again. Too old to keep strong through it. Rather go out on my own terms> Keep the positive as it is what will keep you going. Huge hugs. 🥰

    Hello. I am a cancer survivor. Not Colin, but uterine. I too have many long term effects. I experienced a blood clot to my subclavian vein (upper left chest). The port was removed, and onto blood thinners. I am also unsteady in my feet. I walk carefully, trying to prevent the Webbe/wooble that I do . My GI issues are another matter… with radiation it just about killed my colon. I wear pads for those moments I’m not expecting. Another S/E is a neuropathy is to my head…it’s weird. When I eat I sweat down my neck & all over my head. I do have some ST memory loss on occasion , but I’m able to maintain my day by day… I am 5 years cancer free of this past January. The most difficult is the imbalance I have (affecting my mobility) and the GI oops! I can live and manage the DM and the rest… I just wish I could walk normally.

    I can see by the comments on your journey videos how much folks appreciate your intelligent discussion, your candor and your willingness to share your experiences. Thank you for helping and encouraging so many people.
    When my eldest daughter had cancer, we found it helpful to get and keep our own hard copies of all her records, treatments, radiology info, x-rays, facilities visited etc. When she was transferred to different places or different medical providers, her records were not always immediately accessible and sometimes the costs for transferring them were between $200 and $300 for each transfer. Once they were lost entirely. Without our personal hard copies, valuable information would have been lost and no one would have known which treatments helped and which caused more problems. She would have had to go through all that again. Her cancer returned after 14 years but no hospital still had her records. We did! One oncologist told her this was valuable information. This memory came to mind when you mentioned changing providers if needed.
    As you have mentioned, one of the most important things is being your own advocate and having someone else as your personal advocate for times you can’t ask the necessary questions or don’t remember exactly what you were told.
    So many of us lift you up in prayer regularly. I just wanted to remind you of that. You and your family are not alone.

    • @BigValleyLiving
      @BigValleyLiving  9 місяців тому

      Thank you so much for your kind words. I have printed most of my records and keep them (in date order, by doctor) in a binder (two now) provided by the hospital. Obviously, by some of my discussions, I am missing sections. These blogs will help me to fill in the gaps.
      I hope you and your family are doing well. To have had 14 years cancer free…wow.
      I know that my videos tend to spark conversations in the comments section. Your advice will likely reach more people than you would imagine.
      I’m not certain by your comments how your daughter fared the second time, but suffice it to say, she is indeed an incredibly lucky and loved person. Thank you so much for this. May God bless you and your family.

      @@BigValleyLiving,
      Please read me it could save soo many lives, or at least give more time:
      Guy TENENBAUM's case about cancer and his protocol (he didn't use chemotherapy or radiotherapy):
      - a low-carb diet outside the fasting period (total elimination of carbohydrates/sugars) and eating OMAD (One Meal A Day) crucifers, garlic, onions, avocados, walnuts/almonds, olive oil and oily fish to avoid losing too much weight (avoid meat and cheese)
      - taking specific food supplements that Guy TENENBAUM has called TCC (The Cancer Cure) which correspond to his 5 essentials, with the dosage he took:
      * High-dose melatonin 30 mgr before going to bed (Phycocyanine or Lithotamne, but the most powerful would be melatonin): inhibition of SCOT (to use pure phycocyanine and lithotamne to increase the volume of SCOT inhibitors in addition to melatonin)
      * Allicin (either as a 2400 mg quality concentrated pill, or with crushed raw garlic): up/down stream of SCOT
      * Matcha green tea (with turmeric and ginger): up/down stream of SCOT
      * Metabolic treatment (metabloc): Alpha Lipoic Acid (or Sodium R Lipoate, 600mg 3 times a day, 1800mg in total) + Garcinia Cambodgia (Hydroxycitric Acid, 600mg 3 times a day, 1800mg in total) + CoQ10 (the transporter, 100mg morning noon evening)
      * Omega 3 in a DHA - EPA ratio (500mg DHA/200mg EPA): to fight keto paradox during ketogenic diet or the fasting phase
      * Bromelain (850mg to 5000 GDU) and Quercetin (500mg) for nodules
      * Berberine and Curcumin to block additional metabolic pathways
      - Alkalinise the body with a combination of baking soda and cider vinegar
      - if the body allows it: long fasting then the following month by short fasting and intermittent fasting + taking nutrients and minerals to avoid deficiencies (vitamin D3, Magnesium Bisglycinate and multivitamins)

    Thank You. I am CF of stage 3 Colorectal Cancer. Going through 7 weeks of a mixture of Radiation & Chemotherapy, I thought I was free and clear. My MRI showed ZERO cancer left. And this included "my friend" the 8 cm cancerous mass. I won't say where it was. in any case the problem now is the brain fog and the neuropathy. The latter is horrible, I am unable to walk without a walker and it is impossible to sleep I like you, couldn't touch my feet or my caves. What was the cream you recommended? I have been putting on Hemp Cream which is thick and my touchy skin doesn't like it. Sorry this is so long but you seem to be the only person with any idea. Thanks Michele

    • @BigValleyLiving
      @BigValleyLiving  12 днів тому

      Oh, I'm so sorry. I find that sometimes hemp cream worked, but so did Arnicare did help a bit. I so understand the neuropathy. I still have it and fear it is never going away - but I'm not giving up hope. I find that vitamins b6, B12, and a multi-B vitamin helped. B-12 and 6, especially. Try the Arnicare cream, and I really hope you begin to feel better. You are a brave person fighting this, and I know you can do it. Please stay in touch, and know that eventually, some of the things you experience after the radiation and chemo will lessen in severity. Keep walking, even with the walker. Trust me, it is worth the effort. Blessings and good thoughts to you always. Michelle
