Today I'm sharing the breakfasts we made this week (plus one extra). These breakfasts are just a few of the recipes we like and use often. There are still many more! I like that they're pantry friendly. We eat from a selection of fruit and veg that can be stored for many months (and any fresh fruit in the video could easily be replaced with canned). Marmite is a strong form of vegetable extract to be precise it is a beef extract because it is a beef fat rendered down into a paste

    This is a great recipe. I'm currently in the process of making it for the 3rd time right now. The only things I do slightly differently are to use a couple of bay leaves and 1/3 rd tsp of Thyme instead of the listed herbs and I add 1 drained 15.25 oz can of sweet corn with the vegetables listed. When it's ready, I let it cool down and put it in the fridge overnight. Next day, I skim and remove the fat layer from the top. Then I reheat it and serve it with fresh, warm, home made Peasant bread and butter. Absolutely delicious!

    It would look super cute but you should leave it to dry fully rollers take longer to dry then pin curls because nothing it’s on the pin curls opposed to sponge roller so I think maybe leave it over night

    You can't replace marmite with salt. Marmite is a yeast extract which we use here in the UK as a kind of stock. It's umami taste makes a beefy flavour in gravies and stock. Vegetable extracts include Marmite, Vecon and other yeast and vegetable extracts. You should be able to buy Marmite easily in your supermarkets ❤ look up wholemeal pastry, its the same as any shortcrust pastry, you use wholemeal instead of white flour. White flour pastry would aleo be very suitable for this pie ❤ most British pies have pastry top and bottom, the base would be blind baked first then filled and topped with more pastry. ❤

    Its usual to hang wadhimg outside in the UK, tumble dryers are not so popular. The only way u differ to you is that i use ckothes hangers for shirts, blouses and dresses and multipin hangers for socks (savers a load of room). I use a rotary dryer which takes a complete load from my 10kg washer.

  • @patwagner9308
    @patwagner9308 Рік тому

    I have hung laundry outside for decades. I have not owned a dryer for 28 1/2 years. My way of hanging laundry differs from yours. I turn all clothes inside out so the sun doesn't fade the outside & so the sun can shine on any areas prone to odor....the sun kills odors. I pin the waistband to the line w/out folding the waistband over the line....this way the waistband stays flat. I hang shirts by their hems ....that way the sleeves hang down....they hang away from the garment which helps in drying. I, too, unzip pants. I hang heavy sweatshirts/hoodies by the hem.....everything , then, hangs down & catches the breeze. There are only 2 layers, then, instead of 4. I hang each sock separately & by the toe so the sun , again, shines right on the toe. I love how everything smells dried outdoors....how lovely to pull a shirt over your head & take in that scent ! Line drying laundry is free. The sun sanitizes, deodorizes. Line dried laundry lasts MUCH longer than when dried in a dryer. I have a revolving clothesline. It's not an umbrella style....I had one once & had difficulty figuring out the best placement of laundry on it ! Now I have parallel lines & I hang the underwear on the inside lines ....so it's hidden. SO glad you did a video about using clotheslines. I find another advantage is not having to rush to get the laundry as soon as it's dry ! When using a dryer, you really need to get the laundry out asap or it'll be a wrinkled mess. This is not true of line-dried laundry. It won't wrinkle as it hangs ! This buys you some time as opposed to using a dryer.

    A fantastic pro tip i was given was use a dish brush on your furniture. Simply brush everything to the floor and clean from there. Also i know they are more expensive but a scrub daddy sponge is my favorite. They are firm so they really get things clean without scratches. I have also noticed you haven’t uploaded for a yr. I hope everything is ell with you and your family. I hope you will be able to make more video’s again you are lots of fun.♥🇨🇦

    I’m originally from Belleville Ont but have lived here in BC for nearly 25 yrs. Food is sooo much more expensive here than Ont. I’ve seen other transplants from Quebec and Ont having sticker shock when they shop out here. Fun fact; the Daiya cheese is made in BC and just a 10 min drive from our house. Our son loves Dayia. So much fun watching your videos but noticed you haven’t posted for awhile. Hope you are all well♥🇨🇦

    You can also use laundry bluing to make the clothes look whiter. It counteracts the yellowing caused by body oils and such. Even if you wash your clothes the same day you wear them, they'll still get yellowed eventually.
