The Best Daily Backpack? Rapha Small Travel Backpack Overview/What's in My Backpack
Love you dude!! So hyped to be working with you. Such a huge inspiration to me and many others. Thanks for that cheeky sticker shot too. 😭😭
I absolutely resonate with all of this - especially the part about extracting as much as you can from a subject that just isnt that deep to you personally after a few videos. I felt like a broken record making videos, especially once the mid level boards were all consistently good with the same specs. "yes its got foams. yes its got an fr4 plate. yes its aluminum. yes it sounds good." etc etc. I've always said if i come back to youtube it will be a channel where I myself am the draw, not the keyboard thing i'm reviewing. Like Jenny Nicholson, or Nakey Jakey. People don't care what they're talking about - they know they're getting a quality video with good story telling. We never watched Casey Neistat because we like NYC and camera gear. We all watched him because he was a master storyteller. I think that would be my goal. Be niche agnostic, but make such quality videos that it doesn't matter. I don't want to be a slave to a niche (Keyboards for example) that could lose popularity. It's risky, but highly rewarding. I still personally don't feel like i have the time to do that and completely nail it, as my personal life is so enriching these days. During covid, making videos made sense because we all had so much time. Maybe ill be the type who uploads once every few months, or maybe I'm completely done. I also resonate with you because creative work is also my day job. It's hard to clock out and immediately clock back in to personal creative work. It's so exhausting and burnout-inducing. Protect yourself as much as you can. I hope you figure out what direction you want to go - even if it's none at all for youtube. That's where I'm at now and I'm ok with it. Maybe in a few months i won't be ok with it and I'll come back. But don't do youtube if you don't feel like it's serving you. It will always be here. I still get comments asking where I went years later. People will come if you make good work, and we all know you do! You absolutely have the potential to be a niche-agnostic creator (and in some ways you already are). That will absolutely feed your ADHD by getting rid of the rules of what you're allowed to make videos about - Your body is dopamine-hungry and you need to feed it - making keyboard videos for years and years will not accomplish that. Good luck man.
excited for this bro, safe.
HELLO
Tbh, I can't wait to see more content beyond keyboards! When you shared those lighting tips and some of your work on Insta, I was really hooked
Good to see you back mate!
I’ve seen the “Cosy light” video about 2 months ago and since then,my house is COMPLETELY different. That’s the best video I never knew I needed, and so after that one I wanted more of this channel, but you were gone😂.
hahahah im glad it helped though!!! hoping to make more things along those lines soon 😂
Incredible video, King, and and incredibly well spoken. It's like you've stolen the words right out of my mouth. This was so fuckin introspective and spoke so much truth to the platform, content, and just this space in general. Looking forward to the future of this channel, man. You're gonna fuckin blow up.
thank you king 😭😭😭 means an awful lot coming from you bro!
Welcome back! One day I just realized I hadn't seen a video from you in a long time. What I missed wasn't the keeb content but more your vibe and the overall feel of the videos! Glad to hear you're back and found structure, I'll be along for the ride! Was really happy hearing Taeha mention you cause I knew you were OK!
thank you so much mate! means a lot to hear this!
HE'S BACK
Please blur out your license plate
oops thank you, just done that on youtube back end
Please make a ADHD Hacks video!
noted!
i'm happy to see you back making videos again, Avi! love that you've discovered new things and are doing well. can't wait for your new format!
good to see you back for another vid, even if it's not about a product
Keyboards just aren't innovative. There's not much innovation in the hobby, because really keyboards are inherently simple peripherals. There's not much *to* innovate. And when people try to, I'm left wondering when I'll ever use these new features they've come up with. Answer being never. I just want a keyboard that types, and that feels and sounds good. Much like cars actually. I don't care about driver monitoring this and parking assist that. I just want a car that's fun, feels good to drive and is just me and the machine. So I completely agree with your point about reviewing these things being unsustainable. It's just not fun because every keyboard is really 'just a keyboard' but to varying degrees of complexity.
welcome back :) very excited for the future videos!!!
thank you bro!!! so inspired after our chat the other day
Nice to see you back again Avi. You put things into words in such a succinct manner. The burn out is real. Doing content on youtube feels like it's taking away time from actual life. i hope you are well in your life, that matters most. (always greatful to the covid-keyboard period where I made actual friendships via this community!) Chat soon!
thank you bro - totally. really appreciate that you resonate!
Avi i found you by your QK65 videos, after that bought myself a nice 2nd QK65 and never been happier. Though the keyboard make me know of your channel, but your editing style, story telling, and all around humble dude make me still around. So i hope to see more of your work here on UA-cam too.
I have NEVER clicked a video so fast
Dude love the authenticity that comes from this! Glad to see you back on it and see you soon!
thank you brother!!!
Hello hi @Avi-san!
wow wow this made me realise a ton of things from your perspective to mine and what I am doing in my life!
Dude, its so awesome to have you back! Even tho i found you towards the keyboard comunity, you being back on my screen just sharing thoughts and experiences is AMAZING!! Thank you and Welcome back :D
welcome back man !
Welcome back!!!
thank you boss!
"WE'VE MISSED YOU AVI" we all say in union! It's great to see you creating on instagram while you've been gone. I hope you have a great winter season, and I cant wait to support and watch you for times to come! Thanks for always being an inspiration. I also got an adhd diagnosis this year and I completely relate to what you said in this video. Cheers to the next chapter
Bringing back the you in youtube. Ggs, looking forward to any spaghetti getting thrown
Avi, you may not remember me, time flies - really happy for you and what you have achieved. Props to you and good luck with everything! cheering on from the sidelines :)
of course i do bro! thanks a bunch. means a lot!
I share some of your feelings about UA-cam content as a consumer. Your video on the TGR Jane vs the QK75 is one of my favorites out of plenty of TGR Jane videos I've watched - solely because you were telling a bigger story compared to "just" a Jane review. I know nothing about videography or moviemaking, but I love both your video style and seeing your perspective as a creative and hope you stay confident in your vision for this channel!
ahh man thank you so much! that really means a lot. i sure hope to make more like that going into the future
Came for keyboards, staying for the guy. So happy you're back!
thank you bro!!
Finally, Avi! <3
ilysm!!
Let's go Avi!! I really enjoyed this format, it felt like sitting down with a friend and just listening to them talk about their day. Hope to see more soon :)
thank you my guy!!! more to come soon
I, for one, am very pleased to see your face and hear your voice. I'm excited for whats to come ❤
thank you so much brother!!!
would love a dive into topre and EC, quite a lot of stuff thats not been covered and having gotten a lot of attention
what a guy <3
This format was really fun! Nice to see your video and see you soon :)
I really like the vibe of this video, hope you have fun with your next videos.
Avi! I think I speak for a significant part of your audience when I say that the core part of your videos that resonated with me was the story-telling and your personal style. I love the shots and music you include, as well as how you present and edit everything together! Yeah the keyboards were the the subject matter most of the time, but how you talked about them and shared them with us is what has me re-watching your old videos out of comfort! I'm so happy that you took a break and got to a point in your life where you feel comfortable with coming back to UA-cam! Even if your upload schedule, production quality, or video topics change, possibly resulting in lower view count, I hope you know that your videos will still bring value to a vocal subset of your subscribers, including me! Happy holidays mate, and safe travels!
Ahh man this is so kind. Really means a lot to me!! Thank you so so much - super keen to come back and make videos again!!
damn dude, it's about 1 year ago waiting your content for ages lol
You can make a video cooking a fkin toast and Imma still click it. Don't be a keyboard UA-camr, be a you UA-camr. Your passion like cycling, cinematography, 3d modelling, storytelling, photography, interior design/homedeco etc. You da GOAT man. Looking forward for your content onwards & best of luck for you life, endeavours & all that sh*t. Bingus
ayyyyy man knows haha. thank you so much bro! really appreciate it
Bonjour!
Still wanna buy your geist mate xd
Seeing this thumbnail just made my day
ilysm
I haven't even watched the video yet but I was literally binge rewatching all your videos this past week!! Can't wait to watch this over my morning coffee
Such a dope first car, man! Glad to see you back and excited to see the new direction of the channel
haha thank you bro!!! so stoked on it hahahah
Much love to you man. I definitely have felt and seen the habit vs interest shift on UA-cam. As a fellow ADHD-er, I most DEFINITELY feel that. As I learn more and more about myself, I feel like a completely different person in a good way. Cheers!
This all sounds sick. Look forward to the next video, whenever that may be, whatever its about 👌
good to be back avi, welcome
Very pleased to see you back Avi
very pleased to see you here myke!
WELCOME BACKKK
I love this, and I completely agree! I literally was just thinking about how bad youtube has gotten, and how I just go on youtube out of habit. Watching you express the same opinion, in a very humble and direct format, was so fresh. I love it. Thanks for sharing man, this definitely made my day
bro thank you so much 😭 so good to hear from you again too!!
Would you look at that, hello!
