Still so refreshing to have an artistic and informative video about keyboards. Satisfying to watch. Great info and message. Can’t wait to see this channel grow more and more. You’re killing it, and your presence in the community is appreciated.
one of if not my favourite video about custom keyboards. loved that you gave voice to the people in charge of making the products we buy as a community :)
As always with your videos, this is a unique point of view to approach this keyboard from. Thanks for the awesome and insightful content Avi, much love!
I found you from UA-cam recommendations based on kb stuff but honestly after watching most of the videos you've created I feel like I'd watch anything you put out. Top top stuff
Excellent production! I stepped away from the hobby around the time the original KMACs were newish and becoming popular high-end options on the forums. I kinda knew there were follow up versions and then some other similar quality (with improvements or different design elements) after those and had heard about the original Jane, but never delved too much into more information about it until recently. I'm glad Monokei is able to bring a modern (but true to form) version to more folks that want to experience that 'classic custom' style of years back, in greater numbers than the prior runs. Design is important of course, and this is a classic formula, but so is good QC and attention to detail....especially for products intended to use for decade(s) like mechanical keyboards. Cheers!
Such a great watch and love the editing and narrative. Interviews and incite are something ive not found anywhere else on YT since i’ve gotten into this hobby (relatively new). Cheers! Sub’d for sure!
I love my Tomo. Now despite not loving the TKL layout and after watching this I'd absolutely love to own a Jane! Its the first time I have purchased mid-high end keyboard and its manifested in the sheer perfection of the end product. Monokei does impeccable work.
Man, as an "aspiring enthusiast," I love your video style so much. (aspiring, because I've spent probably $150+ each on GAMING keyboards for over a decade and never had "my own custom keeb" but see the draw of it now) This Corsair K100 is also less than a year old and probably my favorite keeb I've ever had by far. (yes I'm now fully aware of the build quality I could have for $220 USD, but customs were never in my scope)
Hell yeah dude I'm so glad you're able to get something out of this vid. There's absolutely some insane options out there within that $200 price range coming soon, I'll actually be doing a vid on one in the coming days if you're sticking around!
This is really becoming the year of Monokei - they're working so hard at the moment! Still waiting for the fridge content tho. Another banger mate, well done.
great work as always avi! appreciate the take on why boards are so expensive and would love to hear an expanded discussion on the price of premium boards
To me this keybaord isn’t anything different or revolutionary but it in a lot of ways is just the peak of the classic sound and look. When I think of end game keyboards I think of something exactly like this.
I'm tired of making the same comment over and over again, but man does these vids always get better. Enjoyed the grainy and the color of the vid. Also the conversations section is very informative and fun, nice vibe all around. Keep up the good work! You are my fave kb creator around at the moment.
This was incredible. You basically did a review inside of a mini-doc about the keyboard, without actually saying much at all about the board yourself. You let the interviews about QC standards, design, history, and selling price do the talking.
I'm so glad you saw this because this is exactly what I was trying to do with the vid!!! Keyboards are so subjective imo so it's tricky to form an opinion. Giving the creators/designers a platform to discuss their product is what I strive for! Thanks mate
LETSGOOO FIRE VIDEO AS ALWAYS!!! 😍 Really love how you appreciate and allow us consumers to understand and discover the hard work, and dedication of these vendors and designers ❤
Great video production. You should think about making a short film/documentary. Would totally watch what you come up with. Perhaps a film that explains a more detail story about mechanical keyboards and the community - I know that someone made a similar video, but we need more of these. Thanks for your contribution.
YES THE FRIDGE SHOT HAS ARRIVED And my god Avi this video was an absolute treat, thank you again for crafting an immaculate piece yet again. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again- I can’t wait to see what else you’ve got up your sleeve!! ❤
Great video, it is very cool to see and hear the people behind a keyboard I own. And an extra thumbs up for all the people who enable us to enjoy these beautiful creations.
Used a bot for sure hehe 😄 I love these new video formats with the designers and makers. Better insight into the process and what they are thinking instead of white noise like most vendors.
Love the style as always Avi, but I have to say the angle of this piece was the standout. We get caught up with the materials, the sound the specs but we hardly ever think about the people behind these products.
So so glad that message stuck through, and that it resonated with you. I totally agree, we get so caught up as consumers that we forget real people have to go through and parse everything we get!
Problem is that TGR Alice was only special because of the layout, which has been copied a lot. There’s no point in reproducing it (at least from my POV).
awesome awesome awesome - the vid production, the keyboard (I hope to snatch one in the upcoming raffle) and the insight into the QC process. Just tell me now the name of the song playing in the last segment of the vid - got a lot of Stranger Things, retro 80's sync vibes from it.
Cool video but I don't think it explained why it's so expensive...unless I zonned out for a minute which I think is possible. But IMO I think it's so expensive because it's a collector status item like a keycult. It's not really any better than most other modern custom keyboards in the ~300$ range. Everyone wants one because of the name and history, not necessarily the quality.
I mean tbh a lot of people call it the best sounding keyboard of all time. I mean to me it's not even close but that's the reputation that it has built up
Anzel pronounces my name properly in this video btw in case you were wondering
oh i thought i was doing it wrong on purpose :(
this guy
Wake up babe! New Avi video dropped
LESGOOO!!
It was great to chat with you, Avi, about the Jane (and many other things)!! Great vid :)
Absolutely Diego! We need to chat again soon about that other keyboard!!
Still so refreshing to have an artistic and informative video about keyboards. Satisfying to watch. Great info and message. Can’t wait to see this channel grow more and more. You’re killing it, and your presence in the community is appreciated.
Thank you so so much! I'm so glad the message stuck too
It was an absolute blast as usual chatting with you and the lads about this project. Congrats on the sleek video! 🔥

Welcome back dude and thanks so much once again!!
Man that interview just hit me hard.
Fuck it, my endgame is no longer a keycult board, but a TGR.
dude i'm in absolute love with the style of your videos, you’re on the right track for sure!
Thank you dude!
As always with your videos, this is a unique point of view to approach this keyboard from. Thanks for the awesome and insightful content Avi, much love!
Thank you dude, stoked to have you back here again as always!
Such a vibe! Great video Avi! Enjoy the stabilisers and whatnot ;)
Thanking you Jakob!!!! You’re the best
I found you from UA-cam recommendations based on kb stuff but honestly after watching most of the videos you've created I feel like I'd watch anything you put out. Top top stuff
What a compliment. Thanks so much mate!
Fantastic. You are filling a real niche. For all of the keyboard channels all over YT, I don’t know of many covering keyboard *culture*. Good work.
Thanks so much mate, really appreciate it!!

Totally agree mate! So glad you enjoyed the vid and that I got some of the history right bahahha
Really digging this docu-style vids instead of the usual build/typing test. Keep it up avi 💯
Thank you boss!

Thank you so much mate! So glad you got something out of it too. Cheers!
I really like this almost journalistic style content, it kept me watching the whole time.
man the productive value and editing style is so good, this is mad underrated
thank you so much boss!!
Avi your videos are such a breath of fresh air in the keyboard community, absolutely loved this!
Thank you dude!!!
dude such a banger vid. I love the old school like traditional film vibes of your vids. crazy stuff !
Thanks so much brother!
@@AvinashKunjamboo no worries dude love to support you !!

I heard about this TGR Jane only a few times. Now I want one for my collection.

Haha welcome back mate! Thanks for the kind words as always. You didn't make it to the end of the vid! Fridge content is around the outro bit lmao
@@AvinashKunjamboo OH the slidey bit was the fridge 💀 it all makes sense now!
great work as always avi! appreciate the take on why boards are so expensive and would love to hear an expanded discussion on the price of premium boards
Thanks Jeremy!!! Definitely more to be discussed over time
Wow, great video man. Hopefully one day I can get a Jane or some other TGR. But this was great info.
To me this keybaord isn’t anything different or revolutionary but it in a lot of ways is just the peak of the classic sound and look. When I think of end game keyboards I think of something exactly like this.
production quality is so nice I need another vid in March. Please :3!
I swear each video just gets better. Amazing as always bro!
Ilysm cap, thanks for always supporting
Really loved how you approached the concept for this video. Very refreshing and I learn't some history :D
Thank you mate! So glad you got something out of it

More chats with lads pls those are always my fave parts of the video, even though i'm disappointed we didn't get a magnet test like Anzel requested
Thank you! It’s at 6:14 but I don’t think the fridge is obvious enough haha
@@AvinashKunjamboo Oooooo that makes so much more sense because my smooth brain just thought you were putting magnets on a desk 😅 ignore me
Why? Why do you create such stunning flow of video that makes me forget I'm watching a UA-cam video? 10/10 visuals and information. !

Video quality through the roof per usual
What a great video, you can feel the passion!!!
The good thing about using wrist-rest which is damn pricy, wrist just floating in the air it’s not even touch 😂 😂😂
Entertaining and informative as always. And that is one sexy board!!!

Damn, I LOVE the aesthetic on this video! Is there any place I can learn how to color correct/add that film-like look?
Thank you!! Honestly no idea but I do use the Dehancer plugin for Davinci Resolve if that helps haha
Now that they're re-releasing the Jane, I do hope they also release a V2 of its ergo sister. The Alice still is the definition of "endgame" for me.
