QK65 is a great board, there is no debating that. but the consumer experience of the Chinese gb was absolutely horrendous. the communication between buyers and qk team was broken and inefficient, as we were all inside of a 3000 account groupchat where everyone is spamming the same few questions. the group buy period being unplanned led to the real amount of boards bought being way higher than expected by qk, thus meant the delay of shipping. this was alright, but the issue is that this was one of the few issues that qk never though to mention to the group chat, with others issues such as changing the carrying case color, PCB color, etc. most buyers had to wait longer than expected for a product that looked different from the advertisement. more issues began to rise as the shipping began, everyone who bought the Bluetooth PCB did not get their Bluetooth addon, and had to ship their pcbs back. however, after a few of those who shipped it back early reported that their Bluetooth components still had major hardware issues, it was announced that they will simply send us a regular pcb again (the one most shipped back), and will ship out the bluetooth separately later on. There was certain compensations around the table but not universally, and the communications of these issues were extremely poor. personally, my mirror finish weight came with some extremely visible scratches when i first got it on hand, and qk asked me to cover the shipping fees if i wanted to get a new one. Additionally, the timing of the China round and the international R2 got many people suspicious and making posts in zfrontier'ss drama section, basically accusing qk of experimenting changes of R2 on Chinese customers without telling them in the first place, as most of us found out about the pcb and case color change through qk's international accounts that were used to promote R2. again, great board, but qk has done a horrible job maintaining good communication and expectations.
